Boring And Unresponsive
There’s really not much to say about this game, it’s a typical story RPG. Apart from unresponsive and clumsy controls, there’s not much to complain about, but there’s also not much to praise. Somewhat interesting leveling system. Storyline cutscenes and intros are obscenely long though, the literal very first cutscene in the game already killed the immersion by just dragging on far too long. There are several monuments in cutscenes where you’re just staring at the sky, crows, or silent characters. You typically have an option to skip the cutscenes, but that also comes with the downside of you having no clue what the story is about.

The Attack and interaction button keep disappearing

Good game, wrong console.
I played this for a bit on iOS. It was alright, but the touch screen controls for a Soulslike were absolutely abysmal.
Got it on switch, played a bit there. Still not my favorite soulslike but it is MILES better with an actual controller input.
Not sure why the devs thought mobile phones would be a great place to make an action rpg but at least their switch and pc ports make up for it.
Avoid the iOS version. Get the game on switch or pc.

Game Completion Review
Well after about 3 months I finally won it. Starting off this game can either be won fairly quickly if your a person to play on easy and not take much time to explore. Or this game can take awhile to find all the secrets, collectible, and more. This feels honestly like a console game back on a GameCube or Nintendo DS kind of quality. Back when games took effort to make their own characters and worlds and not just off established franchises. The combat despite slow and sometimes clunky, is fair and precise, meaning once you learn it, you got it. Being able to customize loadout was also alot of fun, from one shot builds, crit builds, even self sustaining or stealth builds. Overall I can say a lot more but to keep it short, if your looking for console quality with all the bells and whistles, while not perfect, this game more than achieved that feeling for IOS… oh do play with a controller would be my advice. Would look forward to more content or another game from these devs for sure!

Annoying When Listening to Non-Game Audio
I love this game. Loads of fun. Great setting, good mechanics, kinda weird dialogue, but so much fun to play. Only thing that really bugs me is that I can’t listen to any audio while playing the game. I like to listen to podcasts or audiobooks while playing sometimes and it pauses at every single enemy without fail. The sound is all set to zero and my ringer is off too. I just want to mindlessly hack and slash but it won’t let me. It would be awesome if they could fix this somehow because not everyone wants to play for the story every time you play. Sure, maybe I’ll create another save and play for the story some time but I also want the option to just play without it and listen to other stuff while doing it.

DLC purchase won’t restore
I’ve contacted the Devs about 3 times the last year, I switched phones and NONE of my DLC purchases will restore, and I don’t really feel like dropping another $10 for everything. Devs have been very silent, their website won’t even work, only way to efficiently contact them is through apple reviews (I see they still respond), maybe they’ll see this and finally fix my problem. Until then I don’t recommend this game to anyone, feels shady at best at this point. As I said, 3 times over the course of a year is pretty ridiculous, not so much as a whisper from them.

Extraordinary work but need mor q&a testing
Listen, im a soulsbourne vet. Played through many indie souls like titles and none of them was able to capture the feel of the original dark souls. This game has done it. Funny that’s its a mobile game. Great story, solid game play, and i have been having alot of fun figuring put the rpg elements. I’d say if you ever do a future souls like, adopt the aspect of show don’t tell, i have no problem figuring out the story through actually finding it in universe. Other than that it is 100% worth money, i’m even considering buying the dlc when i finish. Now for the bad, the game sometimes doesn’t register my moves on both controller and touch screen, fighting feedback is iffy at best, in most cases be ready to die a cheap death because your opponent won’t stagger. The sanity system need to flushed out, every other enemy encounter causes my to lose sanity to the point of lunatic. The enemies themselves take way too long to take out, i mean i’ve leveled up my characters about 16-17 times and and im still just barely getting through areas. And every enemy is a tad faster than you they can stagger you, and most of their move sets are too fast to dodge. It’s absolutely infuriating, and not in a “get gud” way. The characters in general move too slow, and these maps are somewhat big. Im still interested and amazed by the game but there ARE blatant problems that are holding it back from being the best indie souls like.

Mind blowing what this game accomplished 4 years ago with a near console level souls like on a phone.
How’s this still the only one?
Hoping these guys make another one with a little more character building. Not being able to find and equip new weapons is the biggest drawback for me. I keep looking for anything else at this game’s level in the iOS store but all these years later, nothing comes close.
Please make more and take my money.

Cons: Bad voice acting, subtitles don’t match, sloppy cut scenes, voices doesn’t really match what’s happening in the cutscenes.

SCAM ALERT
Reported this to Apple as a scam. Touchscreen controls do not work, so the game can’t be played as advertised. The controls disappear from the screen immediately if they appear at all. Link to Developer’s site goes to a page that is non-existent, so there is no help or support. Requesting that Apple refund the purchase price. They should pull this item from the App Store.

Too confusing, hard, and no audio options.
Game is way too confusing, way too hard. I keep dying. The first boss is a nightmare so i just quit. Plus you cannot have background audio like apple music replace the game music.

Truly Amazing
The voice acting isnt great but the game is simply amazing. The closest game to Dark Souls that you will get, and by far the best paid mobile game that i have ever purchased.
I home the continue to make DLC, expanding on the story or make a sequel. I would love for them to create something similar to Elden Ring that is more open world.

If you’re looking for a AAA mobile game inspired heavily by souls games,look no further!! I’ve played every souls and souls like game out there just finished lies of p too and I can say this game is right up there with the heavyweights. Great game with bugs
I liked the first part of the game, but after reaching the second altar it created a bug that makes it unplayable. When you start or restart the game you have the attack controls displayed. As soon as you start an attack they disappear and you end up being killed as you can’t attack. I restarted my game since I wasn’t to far into it, reset the app, and tried to get it to work properly, but each time the same thing happened. Very disappointing as it was enjoyable for the short time I played it. It was a waste of money.

I had this game on my phone for a few weeks now but after getting into it and seriously playing it some, it’s super kickass :) as others as have said it’s by far the closest experience to a full fledged souls-borne game.. just in overall cleanliness and execution as well as original design/story/even mechanics.. love the sanity thing.. adds a psychological horror aspect to the game haha…Highly recommend .. it’s worth noting this game does set something of a benchmark to most other games with their causal designs and play style, will always have something to measure to…

* Add Gmail login for iPhone. I have an old Android account. I want to restore it on my iPhone., I hope you will solve this problem as soon as possible.
* I have purchased all dlc stop showing me buy dlc more please solve this problem I feel boring
* When I enter the game, please solve this large number of these options so that you can enter the game, which is supposed to contain only two buttons, and it is without the Internet or the Internet

Looks good, but not works
On iPad Pro, still have the issue of the UI. Not any combat button appears. So, you can running and controlling the camera, just and only. The game is beautiful, but useless. Still not work. Useless. I love this game, and I’ve suggested it to a lot of friends. I just redownloaded it and I’m having trouble hiding the on screen controls. I only play with a game pad, so the touch buttons really just get in my way. Can you please fix this! The setting that I assumed would change their transparency didn’t do anything.

A true Souls fan
This is NOT dark souls type game. This is a Witcher type game and I can’t stand Witcher games. I want a RPG not you tell me who and what I’m using and I just pick the order I unlock that one persons skills in. I want to make a character and then play it.
