I don’t know how on earth I was able to make two YouTube live streams on this a little over a month ago but I did somehow and now it won’t work whatsoever. I’m doing this on an iPad and I’ve actually gotten it to work twice as I mentioned earlier, but now is not the same. I’ve watched countless tutorials on YouTube, I’ve Tried asking for help multiple times I’ve tried contacting people, I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, I’ve tried deleting my old accounts and creating new ones, but NOTHING has worked! There are ZERO decent tutorials on how to properly make streams on this app and you kind of have to trial and error your way all the way through. I’ve been at it for about 4 hours this evening trying to get this to work with no luck at all. I highly do not recommend this, absolutely horrible streaming platform and I suggest you avoid it at all cost.

It won’t connect now no matter what I did everything even uninstall/reinstall Streamlabs annnnd nothing! Even checked my firewall that’s fine too. Was working great now i can’t do it. Time to make room for my Wacom tablet instead instead of using this app until it gets fixed and can connect easily.

I’ve been trying to connect it to my desktop streamlabs app and the qr scanner refuses to scan. When I try manually inputing the IP addresses and API token, as soon as I tap the “connect” button, I’m switched over to the QR scannner. Which will again refuse to scan the qr code, no matter how long I hold it up to my laptop screen displaying the code. It keeps telling me to make sure both devices are on the same wifi network which they are. So useless.

I am a new streamer and I am new to stream labs as well. I don’t have a stream deck yet so this helps out a lot because usually new streamers don’t have a huge bank account. So thanks StreamLabs, excellent work. I do have a request though for the developers: the remote, when I push a button, it doesn’t do anything right away. I downloaded this to use for the chat feature, but the chat randomly stopped updating in the middle of my stream and I didn’t notice till I went to stop it… I had new chatters who all dipped after I seemingly ignored them… felt mega bad as a small streamer to miss out from something like that. This was using it for YouTube chat. I’m not sure if it would have done the same for twitch or other live things. I’m wondering if it is some weird limit they accidentally applied to how many chat messages can be displayed? Because I tried to refresh the chat and close and reopen it and it still showed the same behind chat, I even made sure I was scrolled all the way down.

I’m just getting into streaming and don’t have the money right now for $50-$200+ stream deck. And, I really do love using Streamlabs for my streams! It’s so easy and aesthetically pleasing to use. The Streamlabs controller is definitely an app I’d recommend anyone to use if they don’t have the money right now for a stream deck. And, since it’s an app and not a physical deck, you can have more buttons then just the ones you get on your stream deck.

I love this app and have been using it for quite some time now, on both phone and an iPad. I haven’t had any issues until this last update. Now anytime I mute my microphone, I can’t unmute it without clicking it in OBS directly. The game I’ve been streaming won’t let me click out, which means minimizing the game just to mute my mic for two seconds. Ease of access to sound controls is the main reason I use this app, so this basically makes it worthless to me until fixed. It’s good for screen transitions right now, but that’s the only other thing I use this for.

From what I have tested, everything works regarding to switching to different scenes. But when it comes to muting and unmuting, or turning on and off sources there are some issues. You can hit the mute button, but when you press it again to unmute, it doesn’t go through, the only way the unmute will work is if you switch to a different scene and press to unmute. Same thing goes for turning a source visibility on or off.
Aside from this, switching scenes is smooth and settings are fairly simple.

I first wrote a review about how it didn’t work anymore after they put the Streamlabs remote control behind a paywall. Then Streamlabs went around to every bad review and told them they “fixed” the issue. However it appears they just did that temporarily to get their ratings up and once they got what they wanted they put it back behind a paywall and now you have to pay for it AGAIN! This just proves that what everyone is saying about Steamlabs is true, this is a TERRIBLE Company with poor morals. Don’t support them!

After connecting with the same wifi, allowing this app and the regular Streamlabs app to connect to my account, typing in the IP address and API token, scanning the QR code, and over two hours of sadness I will say that this app simply doesn’t work as the remote it was intended to.
(Also from a formatting point of view, the API token, port, and IP address aren’t the same as the desktop app. I would at the very least expect these input fields to be in the same place.)

I know this app has great things on it, the main reason I got it is because I can switch screens on my scenes and I have this animation pop up to switch them on the COMPUTER app but the Mobile app only has a button called “scenes” and it doesn’t show the each individual scenes so I can use transitions without pressing the windows button on my keyboard and the dreaded “looking for game” screen pops up, please fix this I would appreciate it, over all the app had potential just not working for me right now, once it’s fixed I’ll 100% give it a 5 star.

in the previous update they made it so that it required prime but now they fix that and I highly recommend this app if you want to stream and it is very convenient.
*old review* The newest update now requires you to be prime which is $79 a year or $19 a month and if you just want to stream for fun and not make money it is a complete waste of money and you shouldn’t get it I feel like they shouldn’t require to be prime because that’s just unfair.I’m not spending money for something like this but I can just buy an Elgato stream deck
