Thank god they had 50% off a year sub. I believe this app has potential, but as of right now the quality is the worst I’ve seen! Not worth $50 plus the cost of “gems”, not even worth the 50% off, but I will be checking for updates and will change my review if it improves. Right now I’d give it 0 stars but I’ve got to give it at least 1.
So far FaceMagic is still the best around I’ve found even though it’s not the greatest but it’s WAY ahead of iFace

Hello, I used to enjoy using this app creating silly videos. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased the yearly subscription which allowed me to create an infinite amount of videos. Now they have implemented an update where they disregarded their previous loyal subscription by forcing them to purchase “Gems” while we already paid for a subscription that included infinite video creations. I reached out to the customer service team thinking it was a bug that I had to purchase these Gems since I was paid subscription member. In their response, “only subscription members can perform n:n Face Swap. Gems are also required, and this is not a bug.”
This is very unfortunate, everyone who purchased the subscription should be grandfathered in until our subscription ended. However, it is obvious this company rather to try reek in profits rather than satisfying those loyal customers. I requested a refund, but I highly doubt they will follow through due to this horrible attempt of already forcing their already paid subscription membership to pay even more for a service that we already paid for.
I do not recommend this app that puts profit above while screwing over their already paid subscription members.

This app has severely violated the user agreement and terms of service. Users such as myself have paid for a yearly subscription, and then, just a few weeks later, the features offered in that subscription THAT WE ALL PAID FOR ALREADY FOR IN THE YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION PLAN were then blocked by an additional paywall. You read that right. After the payments have been made, the developers of this App blocked the services to us THAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR. We as paying subscribers have thus BEEN CHARGED FOR SERVICES NOT RECEIVED. Please view the numerous reviews for this app to verify my claims. This is simply unacceptable. A refund is due at the bare minimum, but I believe this app should not be allowed in the App Store as it reflects poorly on what should and shouldn’t be allowed here. Please report this to Apple if you are a victim. This should be a trusted place to purchase Apps and not have to worry about things like this blatant rip-off.

I suggest you do the following if your subscription is now unusable due to the app updates that now hold it hostage unless you pay them more for tokens: 1) go to apple’s report a problem page 2) select ‘request a refund ’. 3) if that’s not an option, find the support chat and tell them you’d like to request a refund for the material change that nullifies your subscription. They will say they cannot do it. Ask to escalate and you will talk to someone live who you can chat with. They will be able to refund the balance of your subscription. Reiterate that your using your paid subscription is now contingent on further financial payment, which is of course a material change but also probably not kosher.

One of the slowest AI apps out there. 50% of the output is unusable. That wasn’t a problem when everything was free for subscribers, but now that they make you pay “gems” per use, it’s a complete waste of time.
My issues are these:
Crazy slow. Like sometimes it’ll process for 15 minutes before it just boots you out. Not sure how that works now that you have to pay per use.
Surprisingly bad face swaps at times. Not willing to pay per use when I know an alarmingly high percentage of outputs are pure distorted nightmare fuel.
The introduction of gems and pay per use structure was not in place when I paid for my annual subscription. To switch it up mid subscription is probably a breach of contract. I’m going to discuss that with the App Store customer service and request a full refund, then delete the app shortly thereafter.
Other apps provide the same services and there are websites that do the same thing to far better results (and much cheaper)
The short of it is that the app is poorly managed, offering a sub standard product and seems to be moving towards a blatant cash grab without warning anyone. Look somewhere else

I’ve had this app for a while. I think this might be the second year. I’ve used it way less since the beginning but it was relatively ok working app with generally ok swaps. It was fun and entertaining BUT it appears even if you pay money for premium, premium doesn’t mean anything anymore. Now, even premium members, you need to have gems to do face swaps on videos. Somehow I have 75 gems. Maybe that’s just what they give you, but it costs 25 gems for a swap. So, as someone whose paid a subscription fee, now I have to pay even more money everytime I want to use the app? That’s now how subscription fees work guys.
This app is pretty much useless now in comparison to other similar apps. You minus well go get those as opposed to this. At least the other apps are trying to rip you off directly in front of your face. Like seriously?? You want us to pay you a premium subscription fee AND pay for these gems/tokens? Get real.

Ever update they forced on the app only made it worse and now you have to buy jewels to make videos!? I already pay yearly to use it! Guess I will be canceling it! Also along with the latest update it no longer finds faces in the videos I upload this app turned into absolute garbage. I messaged them several times and big surprise no response. This app could be so great again if they actually took the time to address a couple of issues and respond to customers issues. I was thrilled that they allow you to use your own videos. I am livid that the tool that allows you to crop the scene from your video it’s so close together that you can’t move it. The screen is constantly confused as to whether you’re trying to control the cursor that is playing the clip or the brackets that are narrowing it to what minutes you want in your clip. It’s enough to make you scream.

The update you put out yesterday has created an issue with custom video “Pro editing”, that once it is done processing 98% of the time you don’t get any video result and if you do it’s only 2 seconds of the 20 second clip.
You app was working fine yesterday before I did the update. No issues. I’m on iPhone 12 Pro Max running system 15.1.1.
Hope you are able to resolve the issue quickly.
Other than that I really enjoy the app quite a bit. Well up to it stopped outputting the processed video.

I’ve reached out to them numerous times and they’ve updated the app several times but the issue has still not been resolved and I am now paying for an app that does not work 3 weeks out of the month.

Going on three weeks now of no facial recognition with uploaded videos. Broke with an update earlier this month, and several updates since then have not resolved. Great app prior to this, but frustrating for those with paid subscriptions.

This is the third time I’m writing a review. I have a year subscription and I am not satisfied. This app constantly crashes and it hasn’t been updated in months. I want a refund on the rest of my subscription except no one works in their customer service department. There are apps that create longer, better quality videos out that. I suggest downloading them instead.

For a beta it works …when it’s stable. It continually crashes. It was released way to early and it’s not hard to see its faults. It needs to be more stable. All should get a full refund and it needs to be pulled until they get it fixed.
Again! Worked 2 times then it crashed! I’ve had to delete and re-download and install twice already and I don’t feel it’s gonna do the trick.
If there’s a better app out there will someone please let me know!!!

When it works, it works great. But after like three days, it wouldn’t let me use my own videos that I have on my phone, and when I try, it would always say “server error” I’ve tried messaging the people who run this app multiple times to fix it, but none of them have responded to me.

Looks like a cool app but I like to buy apps once. I don't like subscription based apps that charge monthly. I do have some apps I pay yearly but they are very reasonable. Maybe in the future I'll check your app out again.

The update in which they say they’ve made “Faceswappng even faster” did the complete opposite and ruined the app. As soon as I launch it it freezes up with no response to touch or anything. Was working great until then. Now I have a year subscription to an app that won’t work.

Well I downloaded this app thinking it was something different I tried it for the first time today and all the sudden I started texting and talking to some person out of the blue they just popped up. There’s no chat room or anything like that so I don’t even know how I’m talking to this person I know who they are? I do not see any buttons to edit your profile, And what if you want to delete your profile I don’t see a way of doing that either?

The new AI Partner is interesting. It really does feel like we are talking to someone, sometimes repetitive and buggy, changing genders mid convo. It would be nice being able to change the face again and restart the conversation. Mine is a bit mad at me and wont let it go haha

The app is its own deterrent from purchasing the pro version. Only ONE rendering worked out of 20+ tries in 2 days of trying to use the app. The one video that did process was phenomenal, should the app have worked beyond that I would have gotten the pro version. The pop ups say when in use my many people it will take longer to have your videos complete, it will also say the maximum amount of videos has been reached and a half hour timer will start, however even after choosing to watch ads to bypass the half hour it will still remain on the processing screen, it’s one big cycle of being stuck on one of its three screens. Unfortunate as the one video that worked as I said, was amazing.

Fun app but the app “Reface” is the winner. Better results, cheaper cost, and doesn’t crash. I like that I can upload my own videos on iFace pro but the time limit and crash issues doesn’t seem worth the monthly price of $7.99. Reface’s monthly plan is $3.99 and the overall deep fake results and search capabilities make it the winner

Amazing face swapper. This is truly groundbreaking considering the hours it takes to use deepfake IF you can learn it.

This is a good app. But the quality is very low, and i thought it would be more simple, as like two people take a picture and the sensor automatically swaps the faces. Like Instagram and snap chat. I can’t click anything without this app asking me for premium, I’m confused and every time I try to take a picture, it lags. The quality couldn't get any worse, and i wish it would help me out when I’m trying to swap a face. I have been looking everywhere for good filtered face swapping filtered apps, but this still isn’t quite the one. There’s nothing you can do to fix this. I know your trying to earn money, but this is ridiculous. I give it a 2/4. Waste of storage space.

Hey, this app does great face swaps. But could you please fix the custom videos. It won’t let me do a video over 19 seconds. Anything over, is just stuck on processing. Also its very hard to trim videos, I can’t move the left side of the trimming feature for some reason. It’s very inconsistent, sometimes the trimming feature works sometimes it doesn’t. Overall a great app, but definitely has some bugs.

Why do i need a subscription just to access something that should be free. Can’t the big feature locked behind a subscription be something 4K quality or maybe longer clips. Why is it that to access the best part requires something that taints the experience of owning this. I like the app for the most part but I would prefer a more fair system

When it works is pretty cool. But it only works half the time. Literally, it works once then it doesn’t work. It goes back and forth. It wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t take your coins no matter what! When it works, it’s fast. When it doesn’t, it just loads until it crashes or something. It doesn’t produce any thing but it still takes the money you spent! Why the hell are they taking your coins when it doesn’t work?

I have been paying for this for a couple months now and since the last update it won’t let me use my own videos anymore. Before the update it started making me use coins again. I have tried multiple times to get someone to help me on the in app support and email with no response. I used this app constantly but I haven’t been able to use it for the last two weeks at all with my own videos and no one will respond to any of my multiple messages. Please help!! This is crazy

You have to pay $5 to make your own videos. Waste of $5 subscription for 2015 snapchat quality face swaps. Videos take way too long to process on a strong WiFi connection. A 20 second video shouldn't take 6 minutes to process. I recommend the iOS app REFACE over this crap. You’ll definitely get better quality face swaps on REFACE for free. Plus the iFace homepage content is identical to REFACE so you’re really not missing out. Snapchat face swap is free btw.
