App malfunction
I really enjoy this app but every time I do the instant chat feature it just gives me an error message every time. It’ll do the rotation and then it gives the error. Then I hit retry and it gives the same thing again on occasion. It has given me a person to talk to, but it’s been this way for a long time.

I’m positive that people would had loved the app in 2020/2022 they’ve took off good parts of the app like how u can edit ur pfp while still being in the group call and other stuff there’s a lot of sexual harassment on there were to the point I had to private my account because it was that bad I had got told that this dude loves touching his little sister with proof. Not only that only people that are on there are really judge mental people or just straight out weirdo’s and it’s sad I used to be on this app 247 and now it’s completely dead I’ve made multiple complaints trying to fix it and it never works also I think people have hacked in to the app there is a setting in the app where u can kick someone in the group call and now that doesn’t work. So i had the app since 2020 (GUYS ITS OG SKYE if u see my review) so like the only problem is the pedophiles and the wanna be com boys and com girls and then this stuff goes to discord and stuff but lets skip past that, Tiya is an amazing app and screen sharing was the best part i used to share my gameplay of my call of duty and i made tons of friends doing that. However not everyone used screen share for innocent funny safe reasons, some people offed themselves i think, showed their hairy coochies and some flashed their small pp’s, and some watched ph or viewed dillys online, and some played watched real gore. Please tiya give us better report options so if something bad actually happens we can fix it like idk pedo alert. 2020 was this app peak rn we’re falling off evb is leaving the app pls im tired of joining random rooms to people that aren’t my old friends 😔. I am a loyal user of tiya and have been using tiya for almost 4 years now and I have come to an conclusion that there is an error in the kicking process. For when you kick a person out of a video chat room their profile leaves but the remain to have access to the voice chat room. This app is disappointing from many days by now.
I’m going to list everything that is possibly been happening with this app for many times. First we have people. Every single person in chats have been rude in many occasions, and many times by other people. Actually so bad in fact that other people come to TIYA, only to be racist towards the people, in every chat, every voice, and in every way possible. And think about the sharing videos part, I see video gore, sexual content, and everything elsewhere inside these awful chats, and I don’t get this at all. Everytime I think this app has changed, and I wanna download it again, it seems to my fact that, racism is just the top problem towards people. The future is terrible, and terrifying as well for many other predators, because you can get notifications from anyone, and any who now days because there is no fixing this kids issue over this app. There is many kids I hear, and see in chats all the time. They by pass easily just by telling a year, matter in fact ANYONE CAN SET THERE YEARS IN AGE TO 100 YEARS?! like come on man that’s exactly how we even get kids on TIYA sometimes. There got to be a limit of how old you could be, because there is no way someone lives over 200 years of age still talking like a kid would be. This is the app for predators and scammers as well, because if there are many kids inside TIYA, I would expect them to talk to grown man, and women, and expect something to go wrong. And especially how they act is crazy. Anyway, I just believe TIYA, just fully gave up in making this app friendly towards people, and even kids. Especially since what has been happening I think moderation sees it, and ignores of what is happening. Maybe not but I see the deal here. The app needs more moderation for people, and even futures, because kicking people, from spaces, is not really going to solve anything. So please, make it better. So, I’ve been on and off of this app for over a year and every time I get on it’s a new experience. Honestly it’s not that bad of an app but there are many kids pretending to be adults and many p3do’s. I don’t like the fact that all I match with is just males and Bots. What happened to old Tiya?
This new Tiya is weird it used to be actually about having fun on the app like meeting new people and making friends and they used to have categories were you could pick which games you wanted to play with people. a few years ago this app basically changed my whole perspective of life as a child, since i got groomed on it by multiple different people at the age of 7. reports honestly did nothing unless it was by multiple people but by manipulation of those disgusting people the kids never knew anything wrong was happening (as i thought as well) and those people probably went to go groom more kids and manipulate and ruin the lives of more people. and even besides the amount of pedophiles, there was countless of hateful people which could potentially take someone’s life and when i was a child i had to encounter 1 too many people like this. and it actually DID take the life of a someone that my friend knew because of harassment and death threats from someone that caused that person to take their life.

Message glitch
The App is good but there’s a problem. Basically for some reason, I went to login into my account but then it wouldn’t let me in. It would just show the spinning circle thing. Then it would say do a network diagnosis, which I did, then it says Submit and Send then it would say something about check my internet is having an error but my internet was working fine. It wouldn’t let me go into my accounts up until yesterday and it lasted just about A day or 2. When I got back in, I thought everything was normal, there would be new messages from friends but when I tapped to get to their message, the messages did not appear at all or it will just show previous messages from the past before the present messages. Now, I can’t talk to my friends anymore. When I type things, they can read them but I can’t get their response on time at all because of this issue. I restarted my phone, deleted the app, and it still didn’t work. I can’t talk to my friends anymore and I would like to speak to them again.

Things to Fix from an OG Tiya user (2020)
I’ve been using Tiya for 3 years now and a lot has changed for the worst, A good example of this is when you join a call it’s just people screaming. But in 2020 when I was had the best times on Tiya and meet a-lot of my long time friends, it was more simple you swiped left to join a call with the hashtags you chose to narrow down who you were talking to. Like when i used it-it was for Minecraft so I would pick Minecraft chats and I would get a call with 5-10 people and we would all play. Good times. Please change it back to what it originally was. For now I have uninstalled but hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I don’t think that the app has no use anymore as it’s only for internet consumed users talking, and nobody offers to play a game. They have the AUDACITY to ask people to pay for they’re AI services. It’s so stupid!!
This app used to be for kids but the developers are doing a very poor job on taking care of they’re app and the gist of TIYA. I honestly quit TIYA a long time ago and I’m just writing this review so everyone can be aware and save they’re storage and mind set.

The update is a problem!
Don’t give me wrong I used to love the app I used to always be on it but now that the updates here I feel like it’s ruining the login I can use my Apple ID to log into the app and at first it works yeah but like after I close the app and open it again I can’t I’m private my space and I feel like there’s something wrong with the update because of that because I have to like a few months before the month before the update it worked good I loved to talk to other people but now I feel like I have to always delete the app and bring it back because of that so I’m just gonna delete the app permanently because of that matter I feel like you guys should fix it you feel me.

I would make this 5 star if y’all would bring back when I could get in a call with one person then press skip if they didn’t talk but now I have to get in with a bunch of weirdos when I only want to talk to 1 person. It like we had the 2 circles on the screen and it was our profile pic but it wasn’t revealed until we pressed reveal. I loved that I had a call lasting all night with someone but I accidentally skipped her but anyways it made this more fun and being with only 1 person I was able to talk more and was more comfortable and I know I can just lock the room when someone joins but it just dosent feel the same honestly. The app was amazing like 2 months ago, but with all these garbage updates, a lot of people have quit tiya and now the app is kind of dead. Y’all remember when you could see how much people are in a live room and could join it if you wanted? That was a big W. But then y’all removed it and added space. You know how there are different tabs on the bottom part of your screen? What you could do is, for the voice chat tab, have 3 different options within that tab. 1 could be to create/join a space room, another could be to create/join live rooms, and the last one could be to create/join regular rooms.
That’s just my opinion. But I think a lot of people would agree with me that taking out the live room and regular room has kind of ruined the app. Me personally, I don’t have too much problems with it, but it’s just the fact that because of the updates a lot of people quit tiya and now when I try to join voice chats I can barely find anybody.

it’s good but…
This app is fun and addicting but sometimes it gets annoying when people text you and sends weird messages and scams, let me tell you my 2 story’s , I was about 8 years old at the time I downloaded this app, I never told my mom or my sister I never told anyone I had this app (bad idea) . This one time I was in a group call and this guy was giving out free robux (robux is money in a game called roblox) ofc 8 year old me was like “omg I love robux I want!!!” So I friended the guy and asked him, he asked for my password, so I gave him my password, soon later I couldn’t log into my account after he told me he “gave me robux” so I told him I couldn’t get into my account but it said that he had blocked me (no surprise) I kept texting him I told my sister instantly because she was the one who made my roblox account keep in mind my sister was 14 at the time she got on a call with him and talked to him about my account (juicy stuff is coming get ready) my sister was talking to him while I was there crying next to her wanting my account and then he gave my account back (gladly) THEN MY SISTER HAD THE AUDACITY TO BE FRIENDS WITH THE GUY WHO STOLE MY ACCOUNT….

Next story I had, I was just in a voice call room (roblox ofc) and this one guy friended my ofc at the time I was like “yay new friends” he asked me some questions he first said “hey, how old are you?” Ofc I asked “why?” He said “no reason sweetie” weird…. Hello I need staffs help- so when you go on the page where you have your bio, name, pfp, and tags underneath all of that is this spot where you can create moments, and so today when I go to that page it says “create moments” and the problem in that is I already had moments created, two to be exact, one was from almost two years ago and the second from may. hello!! I would like to tel my experiences in this app. I feel like this app is way too carefree and what mean is that it allows 11 years old on here maybe if I’m wrong 12 year olds. well if you can change the age rating to 13 years old that would be suitable. anyways when I got on the app I was only applied to males and no females which I found kinda weird because if you want to find friends here you should be able no matter your gender to talk to males and females which I only got was males talking me. when I first talked to them a lot of them would be racist and then they would like skip me. and then some others when I changes my profile picture started to get inappropriate with me. I understand that this app is meant to be able for kids to talk to other people around the world and be able to communicate it’s just that you need to make this app a lot safer to avoid kids from causing suicide or any harmful events, maybe try to upgrade your system a little more safer and stricter? And make the kids go through an email verification it whatever? I really don’t like seeing kids being harassed or feel like they don’t mean anything because kids out here nowadays in this generation have became very violent and will do anything in there way if someone pisses them off over a small thing they would do anything to get that person back. And if anybody who has used this app and felt any certain way I would understand and because I wen through the same and I put fault for this person or company or whatever who made this app to make these rules and system a lot safer than it is now. Good, but issues
This app is really nice but it gives me notifications like: “Wanna call” or “I’m so bored without you” or “Theres a cool text, check it out” and its annoying. Also theres like “Free Robux” even though I got no robux which is not so cool. And to be honest, when someone texts you they don’t even require sending a friend request first and just text me. And this app is all about “Meeting random people in calls” or whatever, but people are under the age of 13 using this app and you have to deal with many different and obnoxious personalities. Dealing with screaming kids, or just really loud and frustrating music. Don’t waste ur time calling randos, the only reason I still use this app is because I need to contact my friends and I was allowed to use Tiya. In conclusion, kids using this app are even cursing at a young age, lets say like 7, is it because they learned it from other people using this app? Maybe trying to act cool in a bunch of teenagers too. Kids like my young friend is changing drastically ever since using this calling app even if it was supposed to be a 1 on 1 calling app with strangers, but its not the best at all, and I know Tiya can do better then saying “Oh free robux” or letting screaming, loud and annoying kids on the app.

Creepy and inappropriate
First we are gonna talk about the creepy part so first I downloaded this app yk to make friend and increase my snapscore on Snapchat and have new friends btw I’m 14 years old my friend was telling me about it so I figured I should download it, and as soon as I downloaded then it asked me for my location I was like no way! And then I just kept going to see what it was about, then when I joined a call theirs people saying “I know where u live” or that they were gonna kidnap me obviously I didn’t believe it because like I thought they were just joking, then when I like tried to see my profile or my account however u wanna call it I clicked on it AND IT LITTERALLY SAID MY LOCATION!! That when I started to panic and told my mom about it she tried to find a way to get it off and that’s why I said it is creepy!! Next we are gonna talk about the inappropriate part so first when I started using a lot I joined one call there was a guy and I was like hey! And then they said something innapropriate and dirty I just left. After when I joined a new one they shared their screen and showed a inappropriate video. I was like omg! Then theirs like 20 people sending me nudes so I figured to just delete the app no one wants a app where they don’t feel safe on it! As I they said I had wait for 24 hours for my acc to get unbanned when I got bac on my account after 24 hours my account was still banned. They really lie to your face when they make you go back to your account and do the things you want on there so I log out and yet they banned me for like quite some time it was very irritating for me waiting and waiting. My honest opinion, truth & honest.
Hey tiya, great app overall:) but, Lol as you may know there are hundreds & thousands of kids on here, most likely not of age for the app. So, here’s my opinion and, thoughts.. Firstly, obviously my honest opinion just make this a little kids app at this point. There’s too much anyways. It’s gonna be wayyyy to hard to get them off. Even if i try to file reports it doesn’t go through, for example from one of my reports.. (“Please ban this child. They’re underage, as you can tell by the profile.”) You guys didn’t even try to look into it 😒. I’m really done with this app, it’s horrible… You don’t even read half of my reports! Maybe i’ll come back if you listen to my suggestion. Here it is, i think you guys should make us verify our age, so we actually can make friends our age. The app used to be easy to use, i deleted the app because there’s was no more purpose for it but it was a great app. (2021) I just redownloaded the app and it’s difficult to use, im not sure if you can even do a single chat with somebody and not just a whole group. There’s no way to remove the “#example.” you either use that to get in group calls or nothing, it’s weird. I wish the app was the same as it used to be.

the app also has an age restriction now when this was an app for kids to talk and play games with others? it was a game chat app, which is just stupid. The update is just weird, the age restriction isn’t a problem but is for kids who used this as an app to chat with other players. Overall you would love the app tiya. Especially because you can hook up with friends on there call him and text him. You can have that for free you don’t have trials on there, Nothing you have to pay. The updates come here or now. Bad updates
The amount of time I spent on this time because of conversations, just to be ruined when they had the 18+ in age policy implemented, it truly ruined most of my experience I had with the app. Every call was filled with mostly kids, but still other teens that made the apple bare able without having much difficulty having fun. But then, on some random day, the update that implemented a 18+ policy made the entire app population to be all kids. The new policy didn’t benefit anything at all with making sure very young kids weren’t on this app, but instead made it so that every person would have to change their display age to over 18. However, this did absolutely nothing to decrease the amount of kids on the app, but rather make it so that every person you would match with in a call, it will always be a child around the age of 9-10. Not only does this policy does nothing to prevent underage people from using this app, but it also makes it that everyone on this app is a child lying about their age. So now, it’s basically impossible to find any teen or someone older than 16 at all. It’s now much more difficult to categorize certain age groups with each other, considering that it’s basically just kids saying they’re above 18. At this point, it’s just a burden and very big of an annoyance, so don’t waste your time on this app.

Why is Tiya 17+?
I beilive Tiya used to be 7+ or 12+ I am currently 12 I watch anime+ I play roblox and this got suggested by my friends so I said sure let me join then as I joined I went to the anime rooms and it was fun then like maybe a month after using it someone asked me “how old are you” I said 12 and they said “naw” I was confused until they said “you are too young for this app” when I looked it was 17+ so I was confused but I deleted The app from embarrassment and I put it as a 3 because it truly embarrassed me lol but I get maybe why Tiya is not a bad app but I would often get messages like “nudes” or see people with pfps as private parts and that concerned me I don’t wanna make it seem like this is a bad app I just wanna know why it’s 17+ and if it is any way that y’all can lower it to maybe 11+ or 12+ and if it’s any way to verify pictures or pfps before people can see them

I love the app it’s amazing but issues…sometimes when I go on the app it just glitches and logs me out so when I try to log back in with my finger id it just will stay there and I have to keep doing it until it works and then it works but it’s still glitching. Nothing will load and it’s just all glitchy. But if it loads it’ll still glitch..sometimes, my message goes on the left and not the right and I just can’t fix it after a few tries! And sometimes when I try to send a meme or voice message it’ll just get stuck and when I leave the app and go back on it it’s just full screen and it’s really wide and it won’t fix. Please fix that issue but I still love the app :)

I love this app but there is one thing… the age limit. I just wanted to say 12+ is good but i think it should be 10 or 11+ cuz 10 and older play apps like rolblox and Minecraft even fornite. Save Yourself, Don’t.
I’m fairly sure most of the reviews are paid for or people just memeing. This app is functional as a “randomly enter a 1 on 1 voice chat with a stranger thing” it has that, you can randomly enter a group chat and randomly enter an among us voice chat lobby. I am CERTAIN that the majority of the people that use this are under the age of thirteen. It’s apparent when you randomly get in a call with someone and obvious when you join an among us lobby. This app is a terrible counter to discord. There is no mute feature so ANYone at ANYtime can say whatever they want and you (assuming you randomly joined) are forced to deal with the screaming kids or join another lobby with screaming kids that are now playing deafening music. There’s also a feature that will let you create your own private group chat and among us lobby, but both are only functional when you actually know people inside the app (or convince a friend to download this awful thing so they can join in). In conclusion, this is not the app for you to play among us with. It’s great to talk to random people and their varying personalities... and more unfavorable things😒. Don’t waste your time with this like how I had.

In the add it said you can get FREE robux it when I downloaded it, it’s and voice chat game honestly I feel like I got scammed because that add said you can get free robux and this app has nothing to do with free robux. This app is really cool! The only problem is people ask for inappropriate pictures of other things, I don’t know if you can fix that…but could you please give reminders that there are kids on this, not just teenagers and adults! Horrible App for your kids you should not download!
My daughter download this game and she told me and her mother about it, she said it was a game where you can meet new people and me and her were very concerned so we decided to look at the app, we were surprised when we saw that a lot of people said that it was telling people about the locations and my daughter even said that she said no to the notifications asking if it could know her location, but we looked at some of the reviews and every single one of them complained about saying that the notification is lying to you and is actually still is going to give them your information! I do not suggest this game to any kind of kid and you should probably use kids messenger instead...

It’s obvious aimed towards kids but the lowest age you can be is 13. That’s fine. It does show your age and you could even show your location if you wanted. I don’t think that’s a good idea because kids could end up showing where they live. You could also send messages to people along with images. Kids are getting sent scam links and inappropriate pictures. I think parents should monitor their kids things but even I thought this was a kids communication app. A kid is gonna see this app and download it to play with their friends and could end up doxxed or see things they never wanted to see.

I think this should not have kids playing if there under 16, because I still live with my parents and here is the story,so I was in the living room with my baby chicks and my sister was playing on my ipad (im fine with that bc she wont do anything) and she was playing one of my games that she didnt have on her ipad and then my dad came into my room and then we heard some little kids voice so we check our ipads and then he found out i had tiya! a bit.. weird?
so, I started on this app like a couple months ago and I really liked it! I could talk one on one with a stranger with other people not interrupting but then the feature was gone! I took a break from he app for a bit and when I went back on, I couldn’t do the one on one talking to a random stranger thing! now I’m always in a random room with a random group of people. I really liked the old feature. that’s why I took off one star. the other star was because when I was looking though other reviews, some said that when Tiya asked for my location, and they said no, the app took their location anyways and put it on their app! so I checked my profile and my location showed too! and I distinctly remembered that I didn’t put my location in because I never put my location on when an app asks me. this is a bit creepy and why it’s a 3 star. overall, this is an “okay” app that’s a bit trippy but if you really want to talk to strangers then go for it.

Don’t get me wrong, this app is amazing to find new people that are interested in the same stuff that you like!, it’s free and easy to get used to and overall it’s a great app to communicate with people!, the only reason I’m giving it a 4 star review is because I ran into a issue I really don’t like. This might be my fault that caused this but I’m not sure but if it is then I am very sorry. When I downloaded the app it told me if I wanted the app to see my location and I clicked when I’m only using the app. After that it showed everyone my city name and current location. I remembered that my mom didn’t like it when I shared very personal information about me so I quickly turned off the tracker. At first it was gone and I thought it was over but I then refreshed the app and it said my current location again. I deleted to information and then refreshed the app and my location was there again. Hi there! Tiya is one of the most popular apps where you can talk and meet people, but there are some problems. I ran into something where I had joined a room and kids were cursing, yelling and screaming. Through my experience here it’s a pattern you’ll see kind of often. Although those were one of my problems I do know many people have made friends here but I do believe that if people are going be using this app I do warn you about the cussing. This game was worth it and I love it so much I don’t regret getting it so it is a really great game. I really like it. Who ever made this game is a good person I put five stars because it really means some thing to me I really like it. I think people should like it because I really do. I don’t just like it but I love it so much that I play it every day sooooooooooo much. I play this game for like 2 hours. That is how much I love it. You know what I love about this game is that you can talk you can hear people talk, sooo I really like this app. You can even make some I mean who wants friends EVERYONE. So ya I love this game.

Age limit
Okay first of all you should be able to set which ages you want to chat with, I am a young adult and constantly get spawned in a group with little kids this is terrible you should be able to pick a age you want to talk to 🤦🏽♀️like for example let’s say I’m 18, and I want to talk to people in my age range like 17-21 we should be able to do that there is too many kids on here I do NOT want to be spawned in a chatroom with a bunch of kids I would like to talk to people in my age range..

Age-Range People!
Unlike a few other people who wrote bad reviews, I’d actually like this to be fixed. Again, along with some other people, this app is definitely not made for people 12 and over. If, in fact, someone who uses the app is 12, they will not be met with a pleasant surprise as the app doesn’t let you choose an age-range for people you wasn’t to talk to. It’s hard to connect with people if you’re under the age of 18 and I feel like the developers just put 12+ in order for more people to be lured to their app. I’m not personally attacking the people who worked on this app, I actually think they did a pretty good job with being able to connect, but if possible I’d just like a feature where you’re able to choose an age-range.
