So far pretty good, BUT please read this.

When shuffling some cards back in, it feels like I tend to draw stacked cards. I drew 7 grade 3’s in a row💀 I also think the gacha should be better, if not that at least make the drops from character fights have more quantity. Also, fights in ranked are VERY 1 sided. Either player (not both) becomes very lucky in pulling triggers in the early game. It makes it really hard to comeback from that.

What a pain

Getting cards in this game is a literal nightmare whether its doing the daily challenges for the 30 gems you get or trying to grind for card components to craft a specific card you want it takes WAY TOO LONG to do so to the point where the game is invisibility trying to make you pay money for gems it may not be blatantly doing so (for the most part) but getting resources is so tedious that the game wants you to think “maybe paying a little bit of money ain’t so bad” so you can pay money for the slight chance of getting what you want

Good game

Overall it is good game the only issue is when playing story fight and you can literally tell what they get. Ride 51 against kyou very first trigger critical than draw, draw and than around turn 3 and on around 5 he gets heal trigger.

Amazing amazing

I’ve come from other card game apps. DL HS. But this is smooth easy to make a professional deck and has a fun event where you don’t have to spend money. But you want to because hey these guys have earned something. Game is utterly amazing got my friends into it and they made a competitive deck in 3 days.

You’re kidding, right?

You’re telling me that skill and deck completeness has zero play in the competitive scene, compared to someone who calls their entire hand, including perfect guards, and vanilla cards that do nothing, all because the algorithm decides they will hit every trigger exactly when they need it?
This has happened for the past 8 high rank games, and makes me feel like theres Zero(pun) point in investing anymore if the developers think this is a good move.

Shuffling system

I’ve been plays the game for a long while now mainly plays for the story only because when it comes to online play the shuffling system is VERY TRASH. Always and I mean always I play online ranking matches. They system makes me DRAW GRADE 3 in my deck leaving me with nothing. I’ve literally plays matches n recorded the game of me literally NEVER getting nothing but poor draws n early draws that could have been used or beneficial later in the game

Good game. Just wish they gave better structure decks for new players

I played vanguard in real life for couple years. Looking for digital version since I’m busy nowadays. This definitely scratches the itch, just a couple of time changes. But otherwise, great game. Wish tutorial was longer since you have to manually complete the advance tutorials, but since i played real life vanguard i have prior knowledge always.
If a PC version comes out that is the same as real life vanguard that would be perfect.

Use

The creators need to adjust how the heal triggers and sentinels are used. I understand that the full and complete rules of vanguard might be difficult to follow but the use of heal triggers and sentinels are to simple and restricted causing the games to be simple and at times b.s.
I truly love this app and game so please as soon as possible rectify these issues to make this game more enjoyable and accurate.

Kinda Fun, Kinda Stupid, Mathematical Errors Too

So unlike most this is the first way I’ve ever played vanguard. It feel fun and exciting that being said what brought me here is wanting to learn how to play without going out and buying cards and trying to figure it out on my own. I haven’t had any real issues with getting cards so that’s good. But I don’t like the idea of having the decks be built significantly smaller and shifting around the triggers. If it’s vanguard it should be just that vanguard. Also in the advanced training there is a mathematical error on “use Skill 1” you 1,000 attack points short no matter how you mix it up.

Great games, plus a few suggestion

I like your games so far I play it religiously. Ever you thought to make buddyfight game too like this games. And in this few thing I notice, the card is hard to get and not all of it included in this games. I haven’t seen legion from gold paladin, shadow paladin or link joker. It would be much better if you have those card from that clan.
There is a issues when playing that game, unfair one. You have some way to categorize fight, it doesn’t really come to sense limit break vs legion. In anyway obviously legion will win, unless somehow you lucky enough to draw critical or healing trigger and defeats your opponent before either survive legion attack.
Your system should detect which deck come from, so deck with limit break will face limit break. Sometimes most of it player often play with legion because it is the latest one.
And for another suggestion, I have idea perhaps you should add sparing mode (player vs com). Mode that allowed you to practice with character you want up against, and in this mode the more you win the more stronger your deck will be and give you a chance to unbeatable.
And perhaps add tournament mode like VF circuit and any tournament in anime. Player vs famous character on anime or other player.
And for getting card, beside gacha maybe you should add card shop, player can buy a card with item or something. Store would sell ten random card from all clan, and it will be changing every four hour.

Vanguard Zero Review

Even though this game is addicting to play, the leveling system for rank fights annoy me, because losing a match takes you back to square one. It is impossible for regular players like myself to level up my rank and obtain the rewards. Another thing is that the Gold Paladins are too strong against my favorite decks “Narukami” and “Link Joker”, Especially with Liberator Garmore. Since I build decos of my favorite clans it makes it even harder to level up my rank since most of the online players use Gold Paladin Decks.

Мобильная адаптация олдскула

Cardfight!!

The best way to get started playing card fight Vanguard

I fell in love with card fight Vanguard through the anime and found the cards really neat and the game interesting not knowing where to start i’m not really having anyone to play with I collected the cards overtime but not really sure what clan I would personally use though I love quite a few when I heard of this app I immediately had to download it and it’s been fun it’s been great if you have the anime you’re going to love this I’m starting out I’d recommend this app I hope the fan base grows through this app to

Its pretty good but opening packs...

Open packs trying to get card to build decks is the worst thing I've ever experienced in a game like this. The game is stingy with grade 3s so it’s almost impossible for me to build the decks i want without months upon months of grinding for low rewards. Overall, deck building in this game is terrible compared to other games similar to this.

I’m genuinely interested

This is one card game I’m almost interested in taking up over Yu-Gi-Oh!
I play this occasionally and at times I have a lot of fun and it seems easier to understand, yet at the same time I may just prefer dropping Duel Links for this too. I feel like this game has more to offer.

High Effort, Varied Returns

There are many apps that bring an online feel to playing card games. For fans of Cardfight!! Vanguard, this is a welcome return at first glance. The game is a bit different, removing the guard feature from every card except sentinels and placing triggers on Grade 3 units. However, it’s easy to get used to and provides the same feel of strategy and varied play style that the original card game brought. However, while the game is free to play friendly, you need to invest A LOT OF TIME to make it work for you. Some complain about making it pay to win. While you can pay to get more packs, these do not assure you if getting every card you need. The playing field can be evened out in that way. However, where the game is skewed is in the amount of time you need to spend in order to get better. You need to take this game seriously in order to make it worth your while. If you are just a pick up and play person, you may not enjoy it as much. For those who are in this for the competition and want to climb competition ladders and rank, you will enjoy yourself.

Luck and luck alone

This game doesn’t take any skill what so ever, there’s no way of controlling what can happen during matches and the ranked ladder only has power crept decks that people who casually play can’t beat. This game punishes you for thinking and playing with strategy and rewards dumb plays just cause a double trigger check. This game could add more gameplay from like guarding to add more depth to the game and introducing new players to the new game. Instead this game makes you play on and on to get nothing out of it. I have played over 50 games in one day and end up going up 1 level in ranked just cause the scoring system and the RNG in this game doesn’t work out in your favor. Like compared to the actual game where a person can strategically place guardians into the guardian circle and place rearguards when needed instead of using them as your main source of protection. Especially when going against most clans that get left behind and given supports that gets power crept in a few weeks/ not relevant. Also don’t get me started on the pull rates for certain cards and the fact that yes you can craft any card but being able to get enough material to do so takes over 1 month of playing when cards like that become obsolete and unusable to the player. This game is only giving vanguard bad names especially for nostalgic players such as myself who played the game ever since the first trial deck came out in english. The game can be fixed by adding simple mechanics and keeping a wide more spread out approach to the tcg to get people intrigued and making them want to play the game. This game needs to be fixed ASAP to be know by the world.

Broken

So firstly. They changed the game. I don’t know if this is how it is suppose to be played now. But it’s not the vanguard I use to play. The deck building system is kinda too simplified. 13 of each grade and a single 0. Your grade 3’s become your trigger cards. Since they weren’t already valuable enough. Your grade 2’s have to block. You can’t decide not to block. And obtaining perfect block cards is pretty difficult. As explained in the 2nd bullet point.
Second. The gacha system is broken. Sure you get 6 cards out of a single pack. However, the cards you get are so random that if you want to build a decent deck(specially early on) you are going to have to pay your actual money to open a single pack set 1000 times to get the set that you are hoping for. And even then it isn’t going to be useful. I play pale moon and Battle Sisters. Pale moon is hard enough to get cause there is so few. And even in the Asia circuit 2 set. If I buy 10 packs. I’m lucky to even see a single Oracle think tank card. But I have managed to pull 10 of 1 card in a 10 pack draw before…. So yay?
Third. They have a deal of the day half off purchase once per day per set. However, it has to be gems that you bought with money. Not the gems you earn just by playing the game. Meaning that they are just trying to be greedy.
Fourth. Game balance. I have seen multiple times where the AI in the game constantly break game rules to make a move. I went up against the spike brothers in the main story. He had 1 damage on him. I got 2 critical cards. That would’ve put his damage at 4. But he used a perfect defense card against it. Another instance. Nova grapplers. Kamui got a stand trigger. He stood one of his cards. Then for some unknown reason. Another card stood as well. I checked all the cards on the field. None of them had the ability to stand a rear guard at all.
Fifth. Card building is a nice concept. However, they cost way too much. To build a single rare card you have to spend 100 of the R type. Which when you farm for, you are lucky to get 2 in a single fight. Meaning that if you are down to just daily stamina, you are looking at a months farming just to get a single card. And that’s just an R card. RR is 100 RR material and 200 R. And RRR is 100 RRR 200RR and 400 R. All this means is that you will get bored of the game sooner than you get your card.

Best card game ever

I would honestly say this is by far the best card fight game that I have ever played versus Yu-Gi-Oh and everybody else it’s a lot of competition to give out a lot of free gyms and the gameplay is pretty epic and I love how to go through the whole story and make you play like he was actually in the anime the only problem that I have is that for iOS we do not have a lot of good free gyms surveys in actions versus android

Good game but ......

The game crashed it’s not opening. It says “Connection has failed. Returning to Title menu.” It’s not an internet issue I checked. I sent an inquiry too and said error. I don’t know what the problem is. I even tried to delete the app and download it again and that didn’t work either. What should I do ?????? Waiting for the problem to get fixed.
I had to start from zero because my account was not opening and I had to make a new account to play. All those RRR cards that I worked hard to collect are gone 🥺😢😭

Mats and Battle Rooms please

In future updates can we have play mats in game? It would be cool different mats when facing new opponents. Also for friend fights can a battle room be added? Meaning multiple players can be fighting in a room at the same time so we wont have to have multiple friend fight rooms open. It would also be less of a hassle for the players to keep hopping in and out of a room to participate in matches. Hate to compare games but similar to what duel links (garbage game btw) with duel rooms.

Favoritism and unfair cards

Aichi deck has cards that dramatically turn the favor and by using only 1 soul blast. Many other cards have to use two, but he can easily use 1 soul blast and also gain 10000 . There is no limit on it and people easily power up to 57000. Plot power at its finest . Ban this card.

Horribly stupid

Whoever you are please don’t download this stupid game. Being that it’s a card game I thought I was gonna collect cards and build my own deck. Oooooh how wrong I was. You build other characters deck from the anime and that’s it. There’s no individuality in this card game. It’s fun but when I realized you can’t customize your own deck I instantly uninstalled IMMEDIATELY!!! It’s a total waste of time.

Vanguard but not really...

Alright so I was really excited about this game when it was announced because I wanted a virtual cardfight option to build and test decks. Then I tried it...and I was disappointed. It’s a real shame too because it gives you anime vibes playing it. When it loads it plays anime scenes or soundtracks helping you get into it. You can set your favorite character as your home character to interact with. Of course you get to play your favorite clans too. However...do not expect it to be the game your familiar with. From the little bit I played, triggers aren’t a thing at least not how your familiar with. Triggers are now attached to grade 3 units. Grade 2 intercepts also different because you HAVE to attack a grade 2 because instead of the opponent using their intercept to guard with. They intercept by making you attack them before you can attack the vanguard by no choice of your own. It also seems like you get a boost from every unit you drive check too. It’s just horrible, no one should honestly play this game if you’ve never played before because it’s not how vanguard really plays at all. So if you wish to play an entirely different game that has nothing to do with the actual card game go for it. However I am severely put off by the fact it doesn’t even try to remain consistent with the actual game.

Awesome

I love it then again I love vanguard itself. Favoritism

This game is fun and is pretty much like the show but the favoritism for the AI is ridiculous like if it’s gonna be luck for me to get triggers it should be for the system too but no whenever I trigger would make me lose there it is for the system ready to slap me with it

Amazing potential, but some rules and play style are WRONG

Firstly, I would like to say I think the design of the game is very nice. I love the design and flow of battling someone, it feels just like the trading card game but with the imagination coming to life!
However, there are several things that really irk me. There are some “rules” that are just completely and utterly wrong. As someone who used to play the trading card game with passion, it was very disappointing to see that this is almost a different game than the Cardfight Vanguard I grew up with. To name a few...
1. Grade 3 should not have triggers, Grade 0 does
2. Although Deck composition can vary, the game’s standard is pretty bad (since Grade 3 carry triggers). Normally it would be about 17 Grade 0 (starter Vanguard and 16 triggers), 15 Grade 1, 10 Grade 2, 8 Grade 3 for a 50 card deck
3. The guard system is wayyyy off. You should be able to call units from your hand that to guard (Grade 0 has guard of 1000, Grades 1-2 500, Grade 3 has 0). Grade 2 units have the option to intercept, bet do not need to be focused before attacking the vanguard
4. Drive checks from the vanguard attacks are added to your hand, not re entered in the deck.
These are some things I noticed, although I may have missed some. I don’t think the rules of the game would have drastically changed to how the app portrays the rules as they are now. I won’t be playing for now because it feels like I would have to learn a new game style, but I will certainly come back if changes are made to match the original rules.
Also, I would love a feature if we can add our real cards to the virtual game. I still own all of my decks and cards from when I played the trading card game

Pretty decent overall

The game is pretty fun overall, but there are some issues I feel should be addressed.
The crafting system is way too demanding. If you want to craft a RRR card, it’ll take you a minimum of 20 days unless you use gems.
Furthermore, the gacha system makes it so that you have to open hundreds of packs to build the deck you want. If you pull duplicates, tough luck, you’ll get 1/4 of the crystals needed to actually craft the card. It’d be better if when you rolled a certain rarity, you were guaranteed to get a card you didn’t have 4 of already
Finally one of the in-game mechanics is to damage yourself temporarily in order to unlock limit breaks. It’d be nice if we could choose which card gets put back into our deck at the end of the turn. There’s nothing worse than losing a heal trigger because the game decided to put back your grade 1 instead of the grade 3 you just damaged yourself with

Vanguard already is laced with a few problems inherently as a card game. Extremely luck dependent due to triggers that occur randomly and drastically alter the state of the game(it is fun tho, but card games are already laden with luck issues). And a sort of pay wall to play viable decks, more so than other major card games like Pokémon, yugioh, and some others(not sure about magic).
And this mobile version of the game carries those same problems but worse. At least in real life you can buy specific cards you need for a deck. In this game crafting elements are split in 3 rarities and then further divided between clans. Unlike TEPPEN where you only have one element for crafting this game has a ton, and they require either hundreds, no maybe thousands of gacha pulls! (copies of cards beyond 4 get turned into the materials) The other way to get materials is grinding. Which is normal for free to play games, but the amount of time spent grinding for good cards is ridiculous. The easiest way to “git gud” is to just pay for crystals to use on card packs which ain’t cheap. I literally opened 120 packs on the latest banner and was barely able to make TWO decent decks. Oh and banners have 4 or 5 different clans so that also makes it hard to build specific decks too.
Overall the game is fun. But these hurdles to actually play, is a little too high.

Disappointed

Honestly, I was super excited when I came across this app. I spent a lot of time playing through pvp, making decks, etc. Right now I’m waiting to get paid before I invest money into this game. I really liked the Dark Irregulars clan, so I spent most of my resources on that clan. I’m honestly so upset with the story missions. The free Gacha tickets are locked behind me playing the story decks (which I understand), but I honestly have only bad cards for those clans. I’m literally locked right now bc one of the NPC duels literally gets non stop crit triggers on me, non stop intercepts, and I never get my heal triggers (trust me, I have the max amount of heal triggers). I’ve spent 30 minutes already on this one match and can’t beat it bc every turn he just crit triggers me. I’m honestly glad I didn’t spent any money on this app yet bc honestly I shouldn’t be this annoyed on a story mission! Seemed to be a great game, but I’m not gonna pull my hair out over story missions (which I have to do to get more stamina, gacha cards, etc.)

Amazing game with potential to be Best

This is my very first Gatcha game and luckily it doesn’t feel like they are pushing you too much to spend money. They reward gameplay time pretty well with all the incentives on p2p ranked fight.
I have spent a good amount of money to save me some time and catch up; I don’t regret any of it. My love for CARDFIGHTVanguard has been brought back with the intense matches and opportunities to learn new decks and mechanics.
I am bumping two stars for all the recycled material and lack of optimization for the iPhone and iPad Pro screen sizes. I would really appreciate having original animations for the cards and story. The cut outs really ruin the gameplay for me so updating that and perfecting the UI would be great.
I hope they continue to not make it so cluttered it was hard enough learning the mechanics of how to earn cards and reward exchanges.
Overall, it’s a good game but has the potential to be a great game. I will not stop playing it and if they continue to improve the application I don’t see myself burning out at all.

Fantastic Game but 1 Issue

This is such a fantastic game and the only online version of Cardfight! I have found. It is extremely well done and brings back so many memories! One issue though is that sometimes a trigger won’t work. For example, the heal trigger. In online and solo battles the heal trigger does not heal you when calculating damage, and only triggers its effect if you draw it during a drive check on your own attack. I lost a few online games due to the trigger not working the one time it should be. And in the tutorial for the heal trigger it is the only time that the heal trigger function actually works. But still, overall this is an amazing game with so much potential, and has a story pretty based on the anime!

Favoritism and Unfairness

The game is fun and competitive but it shows a bit of favoritism towards certain clans, because I invested a lot of money on here and when I open up certain packs where it’s an event going on to support that clan like the Gacha pack for Dark Irregulars or Aqua Force but instead I get rare cards from different clans.
I’m just saying, if the likelihood of getting that clan is boosted, then you should be able to get those cards.
When playing the story or Character fights, the characters tend to get certain cards to their advantages and on Character fight-the higher the difficulty, the more power they get, that’s unfair because how you think people are going to be able to get 4 damage and beat them within 6 turns or less. I think that should be changed to at least starting off with damage. Giving them 1k and 2k is too much.
If we can’t get the right cards from the packs and the game don’t offered better ways to give them out other than having an certain amount of VPs, then maybe it should be an event or reduce the amount of materials it takes to craft cards.
They should add more items and cards onto the exchange store because it only got certain characters and cards to exchange coupons and tickets for.
Also, it should be 5 tickets to be equal to one gacha ticket and maybe try fixing your shuffle system because you could discard a grade 3, just to get that same card back into your hand

Fun until you start doing the mandatory hard level character fights

Literally when you have to start doing the hard level character fights in this game, which you practically need to do if you want to get good cards, like Dragonic Overloard, your opponent’s units are all boosted by 1000 power, and when there’s a slight chance of the AI losing, they get literally all the drive triggers they need in order to win, and a real kicker, they always have a set hand and field so there’s no chance of them bricking and giving you a chance. Also you for the story, it gets to the point that it is rigged against you, without fail against Granblue in chapter 5 with royal paladins, and tested with other decks you will; pretty much start the game with 2 damage because the computer always gets a critical during their damage, no matter what get put to 5 damage at some point, and when you’re at 5/4 damage and he has his grade 3 he will always get a critical. I did that fight 30 times, 10 times with Royal Paladin, Kagero, and Nova Grappler, same results.

Pros and cons

I’m glad Bushiroad finally released the app, but I still wish it was like the original style as a whole
Pros: gacha fun, the additional create a room and visit is entertaining, card crafting, and the rewards for ranking up and VP is cool.
Cons: the mechanics in the game. Intercept units need to die first, power upon damage, and Grade 3’s drawn are triggers drawn and when you drive them, they do not stay in hand. Kind of makes persona blast specific cards difficult to work with.
The power adjustment of many cards seems to hinder play for SOME players, though not all.
Getting grade stuck. The hand limit being at 9 and when you drive, since you don’t get the card to hand, if you’re missing a grade and you drive check the card, if you don’t have the draw trigger to even chance that grade to the hand, it goes to the bottom and you just flat out die. Seldom chance of even a comeback.
Hand limit reaching 9. If you have a huge hand that can’t be used and yo draw cards, they’re trashed. :/
Lastly, ride chain. The fact that we cannot make the stacks for ride chains like Gallahad or Tsukuyomi makes it a complete pain. They’re randomized until mid/late game and you have to work those resources to the very end to try and set up stacks which is far tougher than in the real TCG
The app is fun, but just be careful as this game is a complete twist from the original.

A dream come true

I have wanted to play this game since I was 8 but I was never able to because nobody in my family played card games so we never bought the cards. 9 years later and this app comes out and makes my dreams come true. I have throughly enjoyed this game taking over my life and re-watching the anime while I play. If you have any interest in card games or remember watching the anime when you were younger you need to play this right now while we are still in an early set.

Everyone in ranked is a autoclicker bot

If you want to play a serious digital card game, don’t both with this one. The first few seasons were very fun but currently there are too many people using autoclickers to farm VP 24/7. Because of this, you might play against 5 bots before you get to play an actual player. On top of that, people use Ride Chains, PG, and Heals in order to rank up because when they play against other bots. Theres even a guy who got Legend 70 and rank 675 using an autoclicker. This is unfair for people who actually spend the time to play a bunch of ranked games every day in order to reach the same Rank and because more and more people using Ride Chain autoclickers, it has become very hard to reach top 100 even with serious play. I understand people will be upset if they can’t get their 100 free packs every season from running their autoclickers 24/7 but there is no point to any of this if the gameplay is so boring and tedious.

Game play

Vanguard has so much more that what is shower in this game for one grade 3s don’t have triggers. Plus the fact that you can’t attack the vanguard without taking out the intercepts is a reduces and puts a lot of pressure while guarding. Plus y can’t we have grade 0s is just sending wrong message for those who are trying to play the whole game. If the game doesn’t have to change a lot just add the guarding program and change the size of the deck to 50 cards onstage of 40. This also makes it hard when it is allocated how many of one grade we have to use. I just want a game that is more like vanguard and not like every other card games in the market.

Most Fun I’ve Had with a CCG App

I’ve played MTG since 1993. I got into many other CCGs too (ironically, not Vanguard), both IRL and as apps like Harthstone and Gems of War. This is the first one that’s really clicked with me, and I am loving every minute of it. One of the best things about this game is that you don’t have to spend money on it if you don’t want to. You can earn all of the cards and crafting materials you need just by playing the game. There’s even this awesome training mode you go through to get started, and by the time you’re done, you’ve already earned enough packs to get a solid, competitive deck. It’s really one of a kind.

Best game just one flaw pls fix

I love like really love the game!!! I enjoy a goood card game been playing YU-GI-OH for a very long time and this is game is the same entertaining!!! I love the app just one flaw I find very not annoying but boring and it’s how long the stamina charges 4mins for 1 stamina is waaaaaaay to long just make it 1 per 1min I already reach luv 30 and Vs and rank fights are all I have and I love to game the VS fights but I can’t because It takes too long and I’m not gonna spend 100 gems for stamina just balance that please!!

Solid game, got me back to vanguard

This is a throwback to og meta back at its infantry. yes it does get repetitive but that’s only because not all cards are release. Once they do, it’ll have a really diverse meta. The play style of this game differs from the original card game, so i can foresee cards that didn’t make too cuts in the original card game could make an impact in this game.
Yes this game can be cash whale but you can also really grind out the gems to get more new cards. And they have other options where you can collect new cards. Overall this game is pretty solid and i’d definitely would sticking to it for a long time. and i’d give it a try if you haven’t already.

Sacktastically awfully!

This game is a waste of time and money. It’s not like regular cardfight vanguard that you know from the TCG version of the same game plays. It’s different rules here. it’s based on the first ever versions of the cards way back, but with different rules of how it plays here in the app. The reason I say sacktastically awful is because of the gacha and the way people are playing it when they play the game, that just makes you hate the game. You get luck sacked over and over when your just trying to have fun and enjoy the game. So not only do you waste time because you don’t get the objectives done right but you get awful gacha pulls for your cards over and over again that you just get tired of seeing the same old pattern after so much time was being put into the game to grinding the event. I don’t recommend it unless you enjoy wasting time and getting sacked.

.

I love the game but getting cards is extremely hard thing to do unless you pay your way to getting the better cards... I love the game and don’t mind putting money into a game I enjoy but the more I play the game the more I have to grind the game to get just one gotcha ticket and not to mention the chance of getting a SSR or UR card. When I’ve done a 10x gotcha draw I didn’t get one SSR or UR and if I did mange to get one it was only one of them. I think they should make it easier for you to get gotcha tickets or make it easier to get more cards when doing the gotcha for players that don’t have money to buy a lot of cards.

Fix Banners

The Game is amazing. A little different from Real Vanguard but really fun to play. If you love vanguard you will love this game.
The problem I have is the Banners (the packs) in this game don’t make sense. Right now there are 3 different banners (packs) you can choose from, but every banner has the same card you can pull just has different pull rates. WHY?! I go to banner 2 to pull cards from that banner but instead I’m getting cards cards and clans that I’m never going to use. It makes spending money on the game pointless because I’m pulling cards for clans I don't even want to play.
Each Banner should have a set card pool that you can pull from. Banner 3 shouldn’t get ANY cards from banner 2 or banner 1. That would make building the decks I want to play much easier and helps me not feel that I’m wasting money on a ridiculous card pool.
Please fix this.

F2P

As a lover of Vanguard I feel the need to depend this game. This game is not p2w as long as ur not greedy and think that you can get the same thing as u can as a whale. You can however, get what a whale would get for AT LEADT 1 clan as long as ur willing to spend the time grinding for mats, as the game allows you to craft dupe of cards you pull from gacha. What if you didn’t pull the card? Well chances are you will but if you didn’t the game had already implemented systems in Jp(a few month ahead of global) which allows you to get the core cards for clan as long as you are willing to save and wait.
Tldr: to Vanguard lovers don’t let the p2w comments stop you from starting. As long as ur willing to wait you always will get the dream cards and clan you always wanted to play.

A lot of potential

I enjoy playing the game, it is not bad by any means anf very entertaining, the game delivers it's mission. However, it feels like tha game limits it's F2P players, not that it should benefit us, but at least let us try to do as much as possible. I feel that the currency system is flawed in a way that it costs too much to do anything, the free stamina you give is great, but if we were to want a spcecific card I have to wait a days to able to get all the materials I need to be able to do so, 10 gatchas for 1 pack? Wow. Also, there's very little income for gems and recharging energy costs 100. I feel that some changes on this would make the game incredibly better. Hope this feedback is helpful.
Thanks for Zero!

Cardfight!! Vanguard

Decent game, it’s fun to a certain point but then gets repetitive because the only cards out are to the decks the character of the anime uses. We all end up playing the same decks same strategies which is super boring. The change of game mechanics is terrible completely altars the game, the game is purely luck of the draw. You need the grade 0’s in the deck as the triggers and not grade 3’s when you pull that it limits potential of the match. Combos are a joke because of it, I feel in every deck I play all I do is superior call all the way to my grade 3 to use my card ability to win.. boring, despite what anyone els says I have not paid a single dime in this game and have almost every card out and have at least 3 of most cards so that’s a huge plus. Biggest things are they need to make the game rules the official not some knock off crap, and make a big update and add a bunch of extra boosters and booster really boring playing the trail decks essentially.

Pretty Much What I Wanted; wish I found this ages ago

About a year ago I was searching for a CFV app where I could actually play but there wasn’t one. I was just getting into the game at the time and apps like these help new players learn the ropes. This app does exactly that.
It’s a little cluttered but easy to learn. I actually like the add crafting mechanic. The ability to quick fight is nice too. I’ve been playing for about two weeks and I haven’t had a problem with a lack of resources or cards: everything seems well balanced.
Most importantly it’s fun. The pvp, the story, and even the “my home” features are all engaging. I love it.

Tutorial is great!

So I own 2 starter decks of the game. The instructions in those things are super bad. Trying to combine both instructions and the anime to figure out the rules left loop holes. I’m glad playing this actually made sense for what cards did what! Granted with ALL the cards this game shows, certain skills don’t make much sense to me. Hopefully I can meet some nice players out there to practice my skill. I do dislike that I have to grind my way to the deck I want to play. I’m a little peeved about the drop chance for cards. I do a draw 10 twice and only got rare’s and commons. Once I got enough to do another draw 10 I come out with 2 SR. RRR(Ultra rare) are really rare! Lol here’s hoping my review changes my luck. To bad my area hates TCG, it’s all warhammer here. Thanks for this great game, btw can you make the heat generation a bit easier? Phone gets hot pretty quickly.

A wolf wrapped in sheep’s clothing

Now pay to win games are nothing new to the card battle genre. We kind of expect it at this point. Capitalism. However. It’s one thing to masquerade as a f2p game when it is very clear that; and this is purely a design flaw; you literally have nowhere else to go after a certain point without paying money. Wanna grind for a specific card or deck? Gotta have unlimited stamina. How to get unlimited stamina? Pay gems. Oh and f2p gems? Also have a figurative cap in the game. At least tell players they’ll have to shell out money. And want to do the fan base a service? Allow players to buy singles in game. Or, similar to your competitors (looking at you Duel Links), make structure decks available that include relevant archetypes and cards. This games system for acquiring specific cards is inherently broken and lends itself to lottery level luck and spending a ton of money at the chance of getting lucky at getting the cards you want or spending MORE money grinding the materials to get the cards you want.
tl;dr
Want to make a better game? Let us buy singles.

Let’s work on it

First let me say if this is your first time with Cardfight Vanguard don’t play this game because it doesn’t play by the same rules. Learn the actual game first then come back.
Good: I will say I love the card cutscenes and the return to the OG cards that I know and love.
Bad: the changed rules make it hard to strategize dew to the game forcing you to attack certain cards first and forcing you to have equal amounts of grades in your deck. The rules also cause problems with one third of the cards ability’s witch makes good cards become bad and pointless. Cards in your hand are pointless and perfect guards are forced in only certain situations making the game a spam as many cards on the board as you can type of feel to it with little strategy involved. I always want more grade 2 in my deck but I’m not aloud for no real reason.
Conclusion: I love the game for the nostalgia of the old days and I can’t wait till my clan is added, but dew to all the bad things in the “new rules” the game often leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I believe the game could greatly benefit from a few mechanic changes. For old Cardfight Vanguard players like me I say give it a try, but I would not advise spending money until they make some “rules/mechanics” changes. I want to put some money into this game but it’s not were it needs to be yet.

Cardfight how I feel

this game does bring that nostalgia to the game for sure, if your a fan it won’t let you down completely, but one thing for sure the game just came out and they are still bringing in updates! It’s not going to be perfect right away which is why I’m giving this game a 4 star
Things they could do is make it a little easier for people who don’t have the money to spend have something for us to work for packs so we can get the cards as well, it’s a little paid to win which isn’t okay with me everyone should have a easy route like challenges or more story or maybe in rank if you win a certain amount of games you can get packs...
Another thing I suggest is a chat system so you can play with your friends chatting with them and such when you friendly duel or Atleast when your in the lobby with them,
The blocking system is a little off And should be changed.
Another thing the PCs are scripted to get certain cards which I believe should be changed as well
One last thing if they can’t help with packs atleast make it easier for us to craft our cards because the material it takes to craft one card can be a lot of work especially with a limit of 100 stamina
Thank you for releasing this game for us fans but you guys have some work to get done

I’m having fun

This game brings me back to when I first started playing vanguard when we only had 2 TDs and 1 set and slowly over time grew into the huge game it is today I started with Overlord in the original game and I’m happy to say I started with an Onverlord RRR in this game and have since gone to legend rank with my Kagero deck it’s a lot of fun and I like being able to play with all my friends as we yell at each other for getting crazy trigger checks like we did back in the day (and in the present we’re still playing the irl game)

Vanguard zero

It’s isn’t 100% like vanguard but close enough. I would say it’s like duel links/speed duels in Yugioh. It’s a different format cards that came out in the first sets that were suppose to be good that got their effects off when they hit never got there effect off back in the day. Here they have a home their effects go off all the time also cards that got their effects off from drive checking a grade 3 get their effects off a lot more in this format. It’s cookie cut right now because it’s at the beginning of vanguard at the moment we have 5 clans going around. I myself can’t wait for shadow paladins and gold paladins to come to vanguard zero. I’m glad we have granblue finally wish it had just a bit more support but it’s fine for now.

Great Game new Mechanics

I’ve been playing non-stop, maybe Since I’ve been a long time gamer since the physical card game. This new phone game VG Zero provides something totally new with a bit of the old school we all know and love.
I’m not holding anything against the game especially since it just started. Try it out, you do have to work for a complete deck tho, but all games have some sort of grind, not interested in spending money? It’s cool, the game provides a way to obtain cards but it’s a grind.
If you want free, don’t expect a easy run, but it’s free2play. Buying just makes the process faster. But remember free, you still get what you want, just not as fast.

A work in progress

I love the game and how it was made. I wish that this was more like the old yugioh tag force games where you have the small character gets to move around. The most lacking part in my opinion is that the game goes in a little bit Of a different route than the original where you draw 2 cards, grade 3 units have their own triggers on them, and when you take damage power automatically gets added to the vanguard. Not being able to intercept or use an actual guard in the game. I feel like this takes away a lot of the things that made it a fun card game to actually play with the real cards and I hope that this gets changed so that it is more like the original

Game that punishes you for doing good in a match.

I’ve played several games with friends and I couldn’t help but notice if you get even a small leg-up on them. The game decides to go ‘Nuh-uh, you’re too far ahead, need to slow down’ and prevents you from drawing anything useful for the rest of the game.
This hasn’t happened once, but multiple times in a row. This isn’t me being salt about losing, I can take a loss or even multiple losses. What I can’t take, is a game that tries to inhibit you from playing good for the rest of the match. I see no point in this being a thing. It’s not only unfair to you but it’s also potentially unfair for your opponent because then it feels like, the game just handed in the match.
My friends also feel the same about this. So unless changes are made, I’m not recommending this to ANYONE nor playing it again. What’s the point in stopping someone’s momentum, and denying them fun?

Deserves 5 Stars, But...

The game is great. If you already love playing Cardfight! Vanguard or just competitive card games in general then you should definitely give this a shot. Especially if you don’t have as much time to go out to card shops in person to play due to work, school, etc.. My only complaint is that for some reason the app bugs out on the last story chapter and won’t allow me to even play it much less finish it. If I can’t complete the story mode then I cant progress throughout the game... Please fix this issue, several of my friends are having the same problem.

Good Game, Wish for more

Satisfying game at the moment. Only issue is that it isn’t the TCG.
I’ve wanted to play the TCG since it came out, but had nobody else interested in it (they were all playing YuGiOh in High School). The games that came out since then were in Japanese as well. Then we get an announcement of a mobile game that restarted from 0, and was really excited.
The game itself is fun! It’s decently free to play if you reroll to get a good start, and you can be competitive with any clan (currently # 800 playing a Royal Paladin incomplete deck, and never spent a dime. Have about 100 packs saved up, with even more possible if I had set up a VP Farming loop). However, it dumbs down vanguard a bit to adapt to mobile, so it’s just disappointing in that regard. Still recommend it: probably my second best experience with card games after LoR, and the gameplay loop is a lot more addicting.
A Regular Guy Like You.
2020-04-20

Not great but not bad

To be honest, an online format is something players have wanted and needed for quite some time. I like the game and it is still more or less Vanguard that has been dumbed down for mobile... However, there are some glaring issues. Deck ratios are bad being forced to play 13 of each grade 1s-3s causes a lot of bricks. You cant choose when to PG and you also cant decide where your crit goes if you drive check one.
The biggest issue, as with all games if this nature, are the gatcha and resource collection rates. Understandably they want and need to make money to continue development of the game, but you find out pretty quickly that you may only be grinding out 1-2 packs a day for a 0.16% chance at the RRR you want. Thats just no fun.
Regardless, the game and its core idea are there. And during quarantine its nice to have someone to fight with even if its a little off.

This is not vanguard, it’s a disgrace

If you like cardfight vanguard don’t download this game it’s not cardfight vanguard its a watered down kiddie version of the game that removes all strategy and changes most of the rules
-you can’t use grade 0
-grade threes have triggers
-40 card decks
-13 of each grade required
-no guarding
-all grade 2s have taunt (forces you to attack them first)
-Changed skills (they say for balance but it’s really to fit there dumb game)
-the person who goes second draws two cards on the first turn!!!
-the vanguard gains 5000 shield every time it takes damage
-drive checks go to the drop zone or to the bottom of your deck
-perfect guards require special conditions to activate and are automatic
This is not cardfight vanguard this is a joke it’s not even a good game it’s complete trash the first time I played vanguard and too this day I have fun and feel some excitement I got bored of this game fight one because all it is is fill your board then attack as long as you have a bigger number and maybe use a skill some time which even then might not help because again they could have taunts or they get a boost every time you damage them it’s luck and math that’s barely any skill is needed for this game

Urgent: read carefully.

hi guys. I’m a vanguard player. I started playing VGZ about a week now. And I find it after finishing the story and ranking up on ladder, that it is incredibly designed as overly difficult to not only rank, but also obtain cards that is needed. Even the rewards.
it is not worth and it saddens me that after a long awaited time to play this mobile game, it’s lack luster in design, rewards & expectations. The collection is very limited. The rulings are somewhat cumbersome. There has to be a better way.
my suggestion as a long time bushiroad player of vanguard and buddyfight is such for VGZ the mobile game: give twice the amount of ALL rewards, make ranking and story 1/2 or at least even 1/3 less difficult to achieve especially to draw in newer players.
also I would suggest the collection to be twice as unique in what is given in the game for each clan because it’s too limited. Make the in game experience as pleasing as possible. It’s the very thing that draws new players and keeps old players in the long term.
Please bushiroad, listen to the feeeback and carefully consider how to make this game a lot better.
Sincerely,
Hayden Azyhrius

Fun game except one thing

I would say this game despite the mechanic changes are fun although sometimes i feel like it rely too much currently on luck. The one thing I hate though is the story mode especially on hard against the main characters. It’s so annoying that you fight them in their playset while they almost always check the damage and get a defensive while having their unit boosted by 1000 each (I’m talking about ride 51). Honestly make them random please, this is much more annoying to try to get the win with 4 damage condition in this story than the very hard character fights.

Great game!

A few changes I would recommend making but overall it’s pretty great so far :D Please add a better data transfer system in the game. Myself along with many other players would love a way to safely secure our account so we won’t risk losing it. The stamina refill rate is also horrible. Been over an shout and I only have 12 stamina. How can we farm materials with no little stamina available to us. These are my only complaints about the game. Fix this and this game will truly be a great one rivaling duel links! I’m ready to put money into this just show me its worth. Account binding and stamina refills! More ways to earn gems wouldn’t hurt later.

Pretty good but could be better.

The game overall is pretty nice. It feels pretty fluid and easy to comprehend. There are plenty of changes from the physical version of the game but it is to make it faster for mobile which I understand. Some things that I wish we're different: - sentinels should be allowed to activate whenever you want. Some instances I want to use it before the triggered activation like staying under 4 damage. - I would prefer if cards added to hand on trigger checks. I understand why they are not but it would be nice. - pull rates for RRR cards need to be increased or a different system to purchase packs.
Those are my biggest gripes with the game but overall I'm very pleased. The graphics are great, gameplay is quick and clean, ranked play seems pretty good so far. Good job. 4/5.

Needs work

Okay, so here’s the thing. It’s a very nostalgia game. The mechanics are very carved to be simple. I honestly like bringing the whole “old” format back with no extra deck. I also like the idea of giving us elementals in the beginning so we can start off “neutral” clans. Also can also appreciate the different grade-threes that are now triggers as well. However I think there is more needed to be fixed than not. First is the home-page and everything: it is too messy and stressful to navigate. Second, how to get your deck cores takes way too long so maybe you can take some ideas off of MTG Arena. Third, the multiplayer takes a bit too long to achieve. Four, the grade-two card’s ability to always be intercepting is annoying because you will never have them on the field. Five, the deck building ratio is very weird. It doesn’t create a very consistent gameplay.

Wonderful but Flawed...

I love Cardfight! Vanguard. I was so happy to see this app come out. However, after playing I was rather disappointed. The gaming meta is entirely different from the actual game. Some of the most irritating parts are:
1) The lack of personalization in deck building. You can’t customize to make a deck to fit your needs, instead you’re forced to have 13 cards of each Grade and it feels very stifled. Additionally having the Triggers on Grade 3’s feels wrong and hurts the flow of the fight.
2) The fights completely ignore player choice when it comes to hard decisions. You’re forced to attack Grade 2 Rear Guards instead of taking a gamble and Drive Checks don’t go to your hand. MOST OF ALL you don’t use your hand for guarding, one of the biggest decisions in the game. If you don’t have Grade 2’s, you’re going to get hit and you’re going to lose. No skill is required, it’s a “who hits first wins” and “luck of the draw” type fight.
Honestly, I love the idea and the work put into it, but if the developers could bring it back closer to the TRUE Cardfight! Vanguard, it would be a much better game. I still completely support this app, but I can’t say it’s really enjoyable yet.

Bitter sweet

The game is cardfight everything about it is what I loved yet the gameplay and game mechanics from the store to the missions and everything in between is really confusing it looks like it should be played like the tcg yet it’s really different once you play and the ai helps you a lot that should be a good thing it’s not does not let you play the way you want and don’t get me started on how you obtain your cards the system is kinda weird and I think you can just get endless cards as long as you got the money to get them so you can just continue to get cards you don’t want till maybe you get lucky and get one good card that you need there’s a lot of problems that can be changed and I just hope they change them before it’s too late I already spent 100 $ and trust me when I tell you that 100 $ in yugioh duel links goes a longer way then in here plz update the game clean up the rough edges make it more user friendly and better to understand I love vanguard but rn your better off playing the tcg then this and once again this does not follow the tcg rules it kinda change the way the game is played even tho vary small it big cuz it’s not the game I’m use to playing

Worth your time

This game is phenomenal! I have been waiting since the game was announced and now that I have played it I know it has rose to its expectations. Though the game play is different from the original, I can understand the intent as this is a mobile game, hence more quick paced games. I personally am a fan of this game and I find he drop rates to be quite fair. I was filled with so much nostalgia after seeing the cards of the past and remembering my time of watching the anime. Any new Vanguard player who downloaded this game will most definitely enjoy it.

Almost perfect!

The game is great for people just getting into vanguard or veteran players. The way you access cards isn’t hidden behind a huge cash wall or that tedious to obtain through grinding. You can easily create a viable deck on your first day using Vanguard ZERO. But a glaring issue I couldn’t ignore was the spontaneous lag, something that plagues most mobile RPGs, the lag spikes can happen few and far between. But when they happened, they’re utterly intense. It makes it almost impossible to play the game, luckily the game has a feature that saves any and all progress, even online matches! Despite that flaw, I would say if you love vanguard or are looking for a new TCG to try, download this game. It’ll be worth your time!

It’s okay

I know I should just be happy to get a mobile vanguard game, but the change in mechanics really alters the feel of the game, the 40 card decks aren’t working for me there was a reason there’s 50, with the needed 13 grade 3s I often get stuck at grade 1 and I know it’s about luck but deck building is used to alter that problem, I wanted to play Vanguard as myself not as a certain character who loves having a lot of grade 3s. I miss being able to guard and intercept the right ways, it added the need to strategize so that you could win or at least try to hold off losing for another turn, no blocking means shorter games and maybe that’s what the developers wanted but it just doesn’t feel right. I know a lot of people will still play this and hopefully in the future they’ll overhaul it to be like the actual card game, but I’ll stick to the physical game over this one.
