Argo™ is a free mobile Social Boating and Navigation App made for boaters by boaters. Connect with others while out on the water, plan trips with your friends, learn about popular local spots, and navigate safely with our custom nautical charts.
Founded by a boating family from the Chesapeake Bay, Argo is an all-American app. Whether you are a new or seasoned boater, you will find it fun and easy to navigate with Argo. We take the frustration out of boating so you can sit back and just enjoy the ride. Check out our favorite features below:
Custom Charts with Auto-Routing Feature
Enter your boat’s draft and Argo will create a custom route just for you. The route changes color based on how close the bottom is to your boat to make navigation easier and safer.
Real-Time Updates on Hazards, Map Issues, Police, Marine Life, Weather and More
Navigate safely through new waters. Use the Argo community to stay up to date on any new hazards, map issues or points of interest. View pins others have dropped to make navigation easier and safer. Of course, while on your voyages, if you find something others should know about, drop a pin and share the love.
Find Local Beaches, Restaurants, Marinas and more
Plan your trip before you get out on the water. Use our custom marine charts to explore fun spots others have pinned. Search for places and read a brief description, view pictures and see the reviews that others have left. Save your favorite places and voyages to your captain’s log to use next time you plan a trip.
Share Your Location with Friends
Going for a spontaneous weekend trip and want to let your friends know where you are? No need to coordinate over the phone, they can just check your location and route to you. This feature is also perfect if you keep family members back home updated on your whereabouts.
Social Boating Community
Join our community to share your boating experiences or recent voyages in our social feeds and explore what friends are doing. Set up a group, invite members, assign your own burgee; then see each other on the water, and connect via messaging and social feeds. Groups are coming soon.

Argo is currently still in its beginning stages, so we need your help! Most of our boaters are located in the Chesapeake Bay, so most of our crowd-sourced pins and local advice is there as well. Are you a boater from somewhere else in the US? Or maybe you’re even sailing on America’s Great Loop? I downloaded this app, set up password, etc and then tried to open and only got a plain white screen.
