I downloaded the app after seeing an add on TikTok. It looked like a good and fun game. After downloading the app, I launched it. The main problem was that I wasn't even able to play. The loading was so long. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and tried again. Same problem.
I then left the app running for a good 20 minutes. Still loading 🤷♂️
Please help me out. I would love to play your game. If I should do anything like turning my WiFi off and on, (did that) please let me know. Thanks in advanced.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this game, but recently I’ve started having issues with the app. I’ve never had problems with my phone (IPhone 12) overheating, but being on the upland app for more than 30 minutes leads to some pretty high temperatures. Not sure what the problem is, but that would be my only complaint with the app.

Thought the whole US was available, it wasn’t, that’s fine, understandable. Went to Fresno, apparently beginner area, cool. Can’t buy anything. Literally every property in the entire city is bought out and the price for the properties that players are selling are either out of the amount of cash the game gives you to start or unfathomably expensive (I’m assuming as a cruel joke). I have no clue how the people who run this intend for mass adoption of the game when you can’t even buy a property in the starter city without paying real money. And before the devs respond with a blanket “do scavenger hunts lol”, those cost money, and sending with a limited amount to pray that out of the entire city you find the chest with that tiny view scope is hilariously stupid. I really wanted to love this game, it is everything I’ve wanted out of a geolocation game, but the people who got in first paired with a complete lack of ramp up for beginners leaves the average starter player either uninstalling in 10 mins or paying 10 bucks to buy a single property. I hope this will change, but it probably won’t, the devs seem more concerned with getting defensive then actually addressing these glaring issues with the difficulty curve, which is I’m assuming because they’re afraid any major changes will upset the vets who’ve played since day 1 and who own insane amounts of land from when no one was on. Almost feels like an interactive art piece on how corrupt urban capitalism creates an unfair system for those who don’t start in the ruling class, but something tells me it’s not.

Where to even begin. I like the crypto world but this just seems laughable. The programming is extremely buggy and glitches at least once a week if n9t twice a week.
The hunts are fun... But you only get 3 sends per day. Sometimes I get it in three send but rarely. And then your done... No more sends... Period. This.kight be because I am not an official Uplander yet but I'm not paying anything till I know what I'm getting. With that being said... Directions are not clear and you don't know fully what being an official Uplander is. So... I'm not buying anything I don't know what it is.
And then don't get me started on the renewal. If you don't renew 1x per week you lose everything.
In summary crappy programming, unclead directions and details, many restrictions, and if I did invest $s I could potentially lose everything if I don't have reception for a week. What part of this doesn't sound like a cult?

This game is ridiculous. It has been issue upon issue from the start and customer service is an absolute joke. Most recently, when it came time to renew my visa the game was under construction so it was impossible for me to do so. I reached out to customer service and explained that it was an issue on their end that caused me to not be able to renew, as I literally couldn’t get into the game. Their response, after me contacting them twice because they completely ignored my response the first time they emailed me, was basically “too bad, nothing we can do”. This is just the latest of issues with the game that the team has been “unable” to resolve. This game is more trouble than it’s worth and I’m over it.
Update in regard to developer response: the screen did not say “down for maintenance, only lasts 5 minutes to an hour” it said the game was unavailable. Obviously I didn’t know to check back in 5 minutes to an hour, but I DID immediately contact support to let them know I couldn’t renew my visa, and then had to follow up a second time after 6 days without a response. Which is when they responded right away with “maintenance only lasts a day so we can’t help you”, regardless of the fact that I reached out to them the second I encountered the issue.

I was very optimistic about this game. After doing research and seeing gameplay from YouTube, it seemed like a good time to “travel the world” from home. After spending a month and collecting the coin bonus I was ready to PAY for more coins so I can own properties. It all went downhill from there. I paid for coins that never came. There is no way to contact support in the app and features they promoted were not available. They truthfully are scammers with the game as loophole. Do not download. I should have read the 1 star reviews, not just the “fake” 5 stars.

I played this game religiously for months, stacking money, buying properties; it was great fun. Fast forward to about a week ago, and I had amassed a sizeable collection. Then I went on vacation. Was gone 5 days. Got back, logged on to renew my visa, but the game was down for maintenance, and wouldn't let me. Tried again later. Same thing.
The next day I get an email saying my "visa is about to expire and I need to renew it". So I log on one fateful last time, and low and behold, guess what: it's down for maintenance. Just my luck. I saw screw it and threw in the towel. I don't have time to sit around all day refreshing until the service is live again. Sure enough, later that day I get an email saying my visa has been deactivated. Log on, and of course this time it actually works... Only I see that all my properties and money are gone. Yep, I'm thinking I'm done with this game.
I like the concept, and I had a jolly good time flexing my digital house flipping muscles, but after seeing months of progress disappear because of a maintenance fluke, it's safe to say I won't be spending any more time with this game. Real shame. To any devs that are reading this, my advice would be to make a long term lease that players can purchase with real world money. Make it $1/mo or $10/yr, and so long as the player is subscribed, he doesn't have to worry about renewing his visa. If you implement a system like this, I would definitely consider returning to your game.
Despite my unfortuate conclusion, I really do believe in this concept: blockchain gaming. Especially for the mobile market, it has nigh limitless potential. I just wish the time sensitive mechanics of it was implemented better. Also please warn your players BEFORE there's going to be a long maintenance period. If it weren't for my problem, Upland would be a 5/5. As it stands now however, I can't recommend it.

Now you want me to pay for UPX when you can’t even accurately account for the UPX you’ve coded the game to give me automatically? Yeah, good luck. There’s a cool idea here but it’s going to take a ton for me to trust these devs with any real money.
Edit/update: dev can’t even admit instability. Address why this issue happened to me (and apparently many others) and what steps you have take or are taking to fix. I have no trust left.

The most exciting thing about this game is the title screen with a snarky llama. After the initial flurry of activity when you first start, the game consists of opening the app, collecting your earnings (1 click), stamping your passport (2 clicks), closing the app. I have 6 properties which give me about $6 a day. I can’t really own those properties until I’m worth $10,000 though...at $6 per day I’m starting to feel like a millennial. It’s just not fun.

Few recommendations:
1. A way to search a region based on min/max ask for a property - clunky and time consuming to find the right places.
2. More interface for social connections and communication.

I joined a couple days ago and chose Brooklyn as my neighborhood. There are supposed to be cheap “FSA” properties that are only for new players, but I found out once I got there that these properties are already gone. So the 4500 UPX I started with won’t buy anything - prices start at 6500.
The next day they opened up Staten Island with lots of FSA properties I could buy for 2500 UPX, but there’s no way to get there from Brooklyn. The section of their website that explains travel is no help. It says you can travel by train. Ok, so I tried to go to the Staten Island terminal and it said “you cannot go to this terminal from another city.”
Im being punished because I signed up a day earlier. I could spend $5 for 5000 UPX and afford a property in Staten Island, but why do that for an app with such bad gameplay? You can’t even control which direction your “explorer” walks.

Spending about 10 mins poking at my screen nothing is remotely close to 50 UPX so you would have to immediately spend real money to do anything. I would expect to have the ability to do something without investing real money at first. Not really my kind of property trading game. (Not to mention a bug that loses UPX 30 seconds into the game is unacceptable).

This game is just you paying to “own” virtual properties that correspond to real world counterparts.
So say you want to “own” your apartment building in this virtual world, you pay real money to the game developers to mark the virtual property as “yours”.
That seems stupid, but play this game, and there are other player icons roaming around with lots of virtual currency.
So the idea is that maybe, since I am early to this game, that an even bigger idiot than myself will come along and buy my worthless virtual crap for ten times more than I paid. People sure are stupid. That could work!
But then I just have 10x UPX (game currency) with no way to convert it and take it out of the game. So for all my speculation, I just get a “better” virtual property.
This game needs UPX -> USD or UPX -> BTC!
It gets better. If you don’t pay, you have to renew your “visa” and if you don’t, all your progress is wiped out after a week. So this game is basically a simulation of being a broke immigrant. Unless you start forking out real cash.

The idea of investing cash into a game ive been able to do absolutely nothing with so far is laughable. The idea of allowing established players to buy the “fsa” properties is insane. Either expand the map so people have more options for properties or accept that you’ve made the game inaccessible to new players who aren’t willing to pump cash in for a game they may not like.

Hi, so i’ve literally had this app for like, 15 minutes. Theres supposed to be FSA (fair start act) buildings that allow new players to buy property, since you only start with a few thousand dollars and most properties are in the tens of thousands. It started me off on a plot of land, but it spawned me next to like 10 people, and someone immediately bought the property, and now im stuck in this endless void of million dollar properties with 4k. I don’t know if im missing something here, but from what I can tell im literally just screwed and can’t afford anything now

After starting this game. Trying to understand how it works isn’t worth the payout. You have to ask for a bunch of help from their support staff. Never helpful, the forums(not run by this company)are much better. The blockchain connection doesn’t make sense compared to other cryptos.
If you want to waste money thinking this might be the next big thing. DON’T!!!! This blockchain by itself would fail but is only standing because this game is the backbone. It has a cap and won’t change. Again DON’T play unless you want to waste money and have to put at least 5+ hours a day to POSSIBLY buy a property.
Also this tutorial is like Michael Jackson teaching you about Child Safety. Not gonna make sense.

Buggy, unintuitive AI. It appears the starting payout of 4500 doesn’t cover the purchase of a single property in the entire world, forcing you to either buy UPX, or attempt their ridiculous “treasure hunt”.
You can only get a sense of the general direction of this treasure if your “adventure trail” or whatever it’s called is near the building you’ve tapped on. Too bad your little wandering camera wanders into the ocean! No real estate to tap on in THE OCEAN. The whole thing with the wandering pieces makes no sense.
These issues don’t compare to the main one I ram into during my 30 minutes of suffering. The worst part was plots of property barely loaded, so you’d be staring at an empty screen where there should be land. Every time you move to a different spot on the map you gotta spend 5 seconds (at least) waiting (hoping) that the buildings appear. I thought this app had potential to be enjoyable, now I’m wondering how it’s garnered any following at all. Complete disappointment, waste of time, and annoyance.

Aside from the impossibility of gaining more upx without buying them (don’t even mention the treasure hunts, not even a valid option), it is imposible to find a first property now. Everything is purchased or simply unavailable, despite exploring quite a bit. It doesn’t seem like there are any beginner properties available, so despite getting 4500 upx to start off, there is absolutely nothing available. Annoyed that I even wasted the time trying to understand how to get a property when the game was the problem.

I like the idea of the game just fine. But, with out putting money upfront you can’t really even play the game. The treasure hunting is the only real way to earn currency in the game quickly but the odds of finding them are slim. I took some practice tries hunting and really lost more than I made. The game clearly takes time to play but with no real decent way to get started playing other than a free property. It sits bottom tier. You can’t even have full access to trading until you reach 10k in game currency which again is either a very very very very long waiting and earning. Or you can pay 5-10 bucks to get in.

There are absolutely no properties for sale that are not currently owned by other players. The community is already monopolized by people who started early, with worths of millions. This is the most backward “game” I’ve ever downloaded. The entire platform is janky af. The developers have created small patches of “real estate” that look like graphics from the 90’s. I think I could have created a better concept with no technical skills. There are two cities with properties and navigating these two isolated locations is cumbersome and not user friendly in the least. Every time I open the app I feel like I've crawled back in time. The price to buy property, if some desperate soul felt so inclined, is ridiculous; there are games you can actually buy tokens for and have actual play, this isn’t it. I spent some money to get a few extra properties. The rate at which you get rent income from them is probably realistic. So it’s going to take me months of checking every 3 hours for a few months to be able to afford another property. Now somebody can buy my properties but everybody who isn’t spending $$$ in the game doesn’t have any of the game currency to even buy it. Then they have “treasure hunts” where you have to search around for treasure. You basically have to find at or very near the property the treasure is at. The issue is you can only move to 3 properties a day that aren’t yours. So unless you have properties all over you have 3 guesses on the whole map where the treasure is. It’s almost impossible unless it spawns right next to you. Game could be fun but they need to speed everything waaaay up in the beginning. I should be able to buy a property every few days at minimum. As the map gets filled then start reducing the in game currency.

This game makes little to no sense. Seems that the only way to get ahead is to purchase a lot of properties which requires you to make in game purchases. There are treasures that you can find which seems almost impossible unless you own a bunch of properties which again, you’ll have to spend a lot of money to get. There is a lot that isn’t clearly explained and the tutorials still leave you feeling “okaaay, so what do I do now?”. This game will just make your money disappear for no real purpose.

Started playing yesterday. Tutorials have helped understand how to play. Purchased UPX and bought over 30 properties so far. Mostly in NYC.
One thing that would be good for the Upland team to fix is the limits to sending and the awkward wandering the explorer does. Should have the ability to control wandering direction.
The current state of the game gives little incentive to login daily, which means its more of a set and forget until you’re ready to claim payout. Payouts should continue to stack, that’s not the issue, so don’t change that. I suggest adding explorer leveling system where you earn experience by distance traveled, visiting properties, performing actions at properties, etc.. Make the levels increase the yield of properties you own. There need to be ways to take UPX out of circulation, which is where having other facets in the game could be leveraged.

So I put some time and money into this game. I got multiple levels and owned multiple properties and even joined the discord. I have a fiancé with Cystic Fibrosis and so I am not always in my phone. I apparently set the phone down for too long while dealing with my fiancé and her illnesses. They took the tens of thousands of UPX that I had and they completely wiped my account. That is thievery at its finest. The game is marketed as being on the blockchain, and heavily panders to the crypto market. If I were to have put the same amount of money into the actual crypto market instead of this excuse of a cash grab I would’ve made my money back. If you don’t want to 100% lose your money just because life got in the way I wouldn’t play this game. This game requires hourly check ins to get any money at all.

This seemed interesting, and I wanted to test it out. However, once I finished registering it made me select where I wanted to start. I choice one of the “easier” starter zones yet once I started moving around it placed me near a starter home “FSA,” or whatever it's called. When I went to purchase the starter home I either got a it’s already being blocked by someone or once I was able to “buy” it I got promoted with a error when purchasing it. Completely broken and I can’t even do anything since I can’t buy a property from someone else off the market until I earn 10,000 coins so I’m not a visitor anymore. I thought about paying the $10 to earn enough to be maybe able to purchase a property on the market, but I figure why waste any money when it’s already proven it’s broken from the start. I have never been more impressed by an app by how much of a failure this is.

The entire idea has been my dream since a child. I think it’s an amazing idea of a game if we can even call it that. It has the capability of expanding in every way as a game. As it progresses and it makes more money and EOS increases in price so will the price of these properties especially with Scarcity!!!! It’s Genius!!!!!!! I just love that one day this will be in full VR. Just wait you guys I can totally see it. I spent only $100. Already gave 39 properties and I keep earning more and more daily residuals. I started playing 2 weeks ago and I felt some real potential with the concept, however, after a few days I was placed in jail for suspicion of cheating (they put me in jail and THEN told me I was suspected of cheating). Customer support gave me 3 options - give a reason for the suspicion, admit you cheated, or ignore their email. I sent them my reason and I was disappointed by the customer support because, for all I know, they outright ignored my claim. I did not receive a response after a week and sent a follow up email which was also ignored. If you decide to play this game then I hope you don’t run into an issue because support staff don’t care AT ALL.

Overall fun game, really like hitting the treasure hunts. One recommendation would be to add property filters so that you can look for more targeted properties. Having to scroll through hundreds of properties of various sizes gets a little annoying, especially as your status increases within the game and you start looking for higher earning properties.

Received a sign up bonus but after your first property it’s pretty much down hill , to pick up any treasures which is the only way to pick up any coin (without spending real money) which I haven’t ...... to can spawn your own treasure in for 3min but you have to search for it . So every time you move your piece around the map you use certain amount of coin depending on how far you go. I’m not spending all my coin to maybe find some treasure , I’m almost out as it is . Not really liking it .

I’m still at “Visitor” level. So I cannot buy a property from another player. That leaves me to any grey, unpurchased properties. The only problem: THERE ARE NONE!!! The devs really should have taken this to mind when building this game. I have two properties and enough money to buy one or two more, but THERE IS NOTHING TO BUY!!!!! Hey devs, wake up!!!! You need to have some safeguards for your newbies so they have something to purchase! Right now it’s just “whoever spends the most gets the most,” and we all know the PTW model. It’s cheap and not well thought out.
Perhaps a time limit on when you can buy properties would help? As well as more properties designated as “Vistor-only” properties would help beginners with getting into the game.
So far, this game is a hot mess.
Also, the IAP don’t work on iOS.....

I can’t even get into the game. I think it’s been happening for the last couple weeks, and I have to log in through my browser to collect coins, etc. Idk

I joined and got a sign up bonus of about 3000 and then some other UPX that got me to 4500 or so. I see properties on the map that are priced at 1900 UPX, which I can afford. But when I try to buy, it says I can’t because visitors cannot buy from the marketplace.
My problem with this game is it seems I was too late to the party. Every property I found that was within my price range was already owned by another player. I just want to buy ONE property but I can’t find even one. Extremely frustrating.

I would say I’m not going to go into detail in this review, but there is NO detail to go into. You get a bonus for signing up, from which you can buy one property. After that, it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to get more properties without spending real world money. The “mining” is a joke, it would literally take years (not joking) to get enough currency to buy a property. The devs are going to respond to this review with “But oh! There are many ways for beginners to earn! Treasure hunts! Blah blah” NOPE. They are impossible and most of all not fun in any way. Definition of pay to win. Don’t waste your time, and especially DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

Game has a good concept but in order to do anything after you buy your first property is sit and wait for 4 years in real time to get enough in game money to become an uplander. Unless the game makers of the game did it on purpose because you can become an Uplander(gross 10,000 in game money) sooner if you pay for it. So I’m just going to get rid of the game and move onto something else. As for everyone who agrees with me go play Millionaire Tycoon. Same concept and has more options to buy and don’t have to pay to play.

I thought this idea sounded fun and wanted to like it. I downloaded the game, created an account and was given 4,500 UPX to start buying property. Pretty sweet.
Then I tried to buy my first property under the “fair start act” for less than 1,500. Awesome. I can buy 3 properties if I do it right. So it spent quite some time “minting on the blockchain” before locking up for about 30 seconds and telling me something went wrong.
Whatever I thought. I tried buying a different one. This time it entirely locked up and I had to close out the app. When I reopened the game I was missing the money and saw no sign that I owned anything.
Fine. I can still make a start with 3,000. So I did it on a larger property for over 1,500. It did the same thing, errorEd out but didn’t lock up but it charged me anyway and I show as owning no properties. Maybe it’s on me because I at best skim most tutorials but if I click buy, yes I want to buy, and do not get it, I don’t see how that can be on anything but the designer. This game needs fixed, possibly from the ground up before it’s even remotely worth anyone’s time.

I was skeptical when I first started playing. It was just a computerized Monopoly game of some kind. Then I got plugged into the Discord community and my eyes were opened to the diversity and potential of Upland. This “game” is so much more. It has the potential to connect people like Second Life while facilitating trade like EBay.

I played for weeks, enjoyed the game. Took a break to move my family(you know, people actually do that in the ‘real world’) and I try to get back to the game, I’ve been logged out, try to use ‘forgot my password’ and you guys want to tell me I’m not a ‘verified user’... but you’ll send me ad emails on an almost daily basis to the email that you suddenly don’t recognize when I try to log back in? Give me a break. This “game” is beginning to look a LOT like a blockchain data grab with a few VIPs earning the vast majority of the rewards... I’ll bet if I were to give my credit card number to buy some UPX, you guys would be more than happy to take that.

Look at the distribution of reviews. Have you ever seen a game with exclusively one and five star reviews and literally nothing in between? I read a bunch of the ‘positive’ reviews and they are all extremely generic, either posted by bots, the developers’ sock puppet accounts, or possibly because users were told they would receive in game currency for leaving a five star review. This ‘game’ has micro transactions and buzzwords, but no actual gameplay. THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING TO DO BESIDES SPEND MONEY. It’s not a one time purchase, you either repeatedly give them money or you do nothing. These treasure hunts the devs keep telling people who leave genuine reviews to try cost money to participate in, they are classic slot machine gambling with a modern facelift to appeal to kids with iPhones and aspirations. Spending money on games is ok, but spend your money on a game with actual gameplay, and if you want to gamble, that’s fine too, but you’re way better off with fantasy sports or video poker or CSGO skins, or any form of gambling that will be straight with you about what’s going on.

If you’re not living paycheck to paycheck and can afford to support the developers with a $20 initial investment when starting, you will absolutely love this game (not to mention you’ll own a few amazing virtual properties that will most likely increase in value as the app grows and certain properties become heavily sought)
Essentially you’re buying virtual property, you then can sell, trade, or buy more property. They have annoying hunts around the map that will reward you with extra currency or prizes.
I wouldn’t say this app is “fun”, however, it’s extremely interesting and time consuming... I’m looking forward to see how they expand the concept and make our virtual currency/property more valuable in the future!

Downloaded this app a few hours ago and was extremely disappointed. I thought this would be a game, with strategy, skill, or thought. This is none of that. This is... I don’t know how to describe it. You install the game, follow the tutorial, and that’s it. There’s nothing else you can do. You can’t buy any properties, nor can you make an offer on another players property without spending at least $10 upfront. Stay away from this garbage, it’s not worth your time even thinking about downloading this awful, horrendous app. Would rate it 0 stars if I could.

The premise of using blockchain intrigued me. I setup up my account and was instantly awarded enough upx to buy my first property. Awesome, right?! But that’s essentially where the game ended. The property earns so little investment that it will take months to earn enough to buy a second property. Buying more upx with real money would take about $15 to purchase another small property. I guess I’m confused what the point of the game is. Four days in and I haven’t seen any events, my token/avatar just floats around, and I don’t seen any incentive to play at the moment.

Don’t bother trying to learn how to play this game. There is nothing to play. Treasure hunt is stupidly hard. There is a send limit and all sends have a cost . Your explorer moves in one direction after a send that you can’t pick. Finding the treasure with those stupid flashing arrows wasn’t possible for me. There is no official guide for how to do the treasure hunt properly as a beginner. There are only guides available from people with very many properties who get free sends by owning those properties .I wouldn’t spend a dime on this crap as it is now. There are unexplained numbers and symbols popping up on the map. I’m very regretful that I spent 3 hours trying to “play” this.

While I understand the game is in beta, I really don’t know what the purpose is other than to be a money grab for the devs. You can buy a property, and a tiny bit of virtual income trickles in, but if you want to not spend forever waiting for your tiny income to allow you to buy a second property, then you have to spend a lot of money to buy more in game currency. They talk a lot about how the in game currency (UPX) is based on a blockchain, but it’s not a real cryptocurrency because you cannot make a withdrawal or exchange it for goods or services. Literally all you can do is claim a pretend ownership or real world property on a digital map. Is this fun? It doesn’t seem fun.

I love the idea of block chain games, but this one is one of the ones you have to spend cash or the game is absolutely worthless. They claim that there are ways to build up their in game currency without spending money but I haven’t seen it yet.
The treasure chests for example. You have to be able to move your locator around to be able to find it. And guess what, that costs too! I think the game could have some potential, but there are too many mechanics that need to be worked out. I could not recommend this game at all in its current state.

So, been playing it for over a month, been collecting my coins daily multiple times a day. So here’s the thing, I’ve noticed that doesn’t matter how often I’m collecting them they are not being saved when I leave the game. So it makes the game entirely pointless and I refuse to spend money on a game that the only way to play you have to spend money since I can’t trust the system itself to even keep up with money earned.

The overall idea behind this game is a great one. You get enough UPX (the currency in the game to buy one property which is nice but the rest of the time you are waiting around for hours just to get a percentage of a single UPX as your dividends while each property costs at least 2500 UPX. Playing this game without paying to buy more UPX is literally impossible unless you want to sit around for months possibly even a year to get enough for just one more property and then you’re back in the same boat just getting a small percentage of the 2 properties you own.
Absolutely terrible execution from the game player’s point of view but great execution on the game maker’s point of view because they know there are suckers out there willing to pay over and over again just to get in the leaderboards. Definitely not worth your time unless you have actual money to blow in real life and want to waste it on a game that you get no satisfaction in except for being the “best” in a game where it’s impossible for everyone else to even have a chance at even being decent.

I had high hopes for this game, but it seems like there wasn’t much planning for the user’s experience. On Reddit, they said that the game was still in Open Beta as of 20 days ago. That’s fine and I’m pretty understanding if something isn’t working correctly. But if this is still in Open Beta, why make the user spend so much money for UPX when we’re testing the game out for you? The treasure hunt is a neat idea, but you spend a lot of UPX to participate without the guarantee of finding the treasure. How can engaging in this game be worthwhile if you have to pay to have fun? I don’t have a problem spending money on apps, but what am I getting out of this? What’s my ROI? And why is my Explorer out in the water? It’s not worth my money at this time.

This looks like a great game. It has a great concept and the I can only imagine what I could do with more coins. You have to acquire a net worth of over 10,000 coins to move out of “Visitor” status and become an “Uplander”. But that’s the problem; you’re gifted 3,000 or 6,000 coin to start and the minimum property value is ~2,400 coin. If your property accrues 1-2 coin/day (what my two are) it will take MONTHS, to achieve the 10,000 coin level. Full game function (the marketplace where you can buy/sell/trade properties) doesn’t become available until you cross that threshold. At the moment, the only way to get more coins is the wait (an exorbitant amount of time, seriously, do the math at 2 coins per day, needing 2,600 more coins would take 3 and 1/2 YEARS), OR you can BUY coins.
Great game, amazing process, bravo for putting together an awesome app where the blockchain integrates to real world assets. Needs serious attention to gameplay for beginners.
Everything about this game screams “PLAY ME!!” But I can’t. I can’t buy anything else, I can’t sell or trade what I already have, I can’t fill any more collections to generate coins faster, I can’t do anything but collect a few coins a day but at this point, I’ll probably just come back weekly to renew my earning timeline or cut my time lost, delete the app and let what I have cycle back into the system for someone who wants to pay to play. Shame.

Really boring. There’s no entertainment value whatsoever in this “game.” All you do is collect rent on locations every few hours, and save up to get another location to keep repeating the cycle. You end up spending all your money to travel to the area you want to buy in, and if you don’t pay with real money it will take you several months to reach the real “uplander” status, based on the starting money, the login bonus you get the first week, and assuming you use your money to buy property right away instead of saving up- which you couldn’t do anyway without paying. Without this “uplander” status all of your progress is erased after 7 days of not logging on. Don’t waste your brainpower for a game with no entertainment value, attempting to create an altcoin with weak blockchain technology that inevitably will have no utility or monetary value. Total bust

You start with enough upx to buy like one property, maybe two if you get dropped in a different place. Then your only income is that property. After 4 days of playing I made about 4upx.
The idea of a limited amount of currency is awesome. Like if visitors' visas expire the upx they have goes back into circulation.
But you can buy upx, and you MUST buy upx to get anywhere in this game.
Without paying you would play this for like 3 years before you could buy a new property. Even then you would lose interest and all of your stuff would be taken away. Even though people can pay to literally create money in this "economy"
UPDATE: The game wouldnt launch, thought I needed to update but was up to date. So couldnt log in for a week and my visa expired and all my stuff is now gone.
Deleting the game. Im not gonna sit around playing the waiting game anymore. Hopefully someone out there will execute this idea with more than just making money in mind.

This is by far the best virtual reality property game with real life properties.
I’ve spent hours with this game and had extremely fun. This game is so addictive and the perspective to earn and spend Upx currency with my virtual property is unique. Soon, there will be NY, too and then the rest of the US. Let’s wait ( hopefully not for too long) and see....
