Honestly, I’m ready to toss the maker and remove the app. It keeps bringing me back to a registration screen which requires money to be paid. I would not have bought this maker if I had known that. I’m going to go back to old technology for label making.

Registration process seems impossible
One registering for an account it only gives you 60 seconds to validate a code that is sent to your email. I have tried it several times and still can’t seem to beat the 60 second timeline. This seems impossible and so frustrating.

Doesn’t let you print on generic thermal paper. The official paper has rfid so if the generic doesn’t have it, it fake outputs lightly to make it seem like it’s incompatible. Incredibly shady and anti consumer behaviour.

This is very annoying when there is more than enough storage space on my phone to store thousands of labels.
Local storage also does not have a privacy document that basically says that they may share your information with anyone they want.

A mess
The app window keeps telling me that the device is jailbroken. Then, god help you if you try to connect the printer to the app. Takes 7 to 10 attempts to connect. Turning it off and on for half an hour only to be shown an error message. In all, very disappointed with the whole process.

Would be 5 stars if my 1st didn’t quit working
But I loved my first one so much that when it quit working this weekend I immediately got another of the exact same thing. If it quits working too, I’ll give up on the brand. But hopefully it was a fluke. But it prints so fast, requires no ink, creates QR codes, it’s so easy to place my text, QR codes, etc wherei want them. The drawback to this product is that help/support couldn’t help me with the one that quit working. They told me contact the seller for after sales support. That really wasn’t an option. Also, some of the instructions in the app are in Chinese Characters, which I can’t read. But there are so many different labels for this little machine—even Holiday themed!

Have had this for a little bit
I have the 1 oh1 printer and absolutely loved it. Did everything I needed it to do then I let it set for a couple of months without using it and now I've come back and it will not read. The paper keeps telling me there is an issue with the paper, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it's still telling me the same thing. I cannot find anyone to get some support on how to make this work with the same paper that worked fine a month ago now it won't I put new paper in it and it still won't work, what do I need to do to make it work if I could contact someone through support it would be great, but there is no contacting anyone and the website app is useless for troubleshooting. Someone please help.

Uploading a picture is a slow process - when that feature works. It seems as though it has been worse this week. Maybe there needs to be an update?

NOT COOL that my “tap to pay” pops up when phone is near machine!
When I’m printing labels, ever so often I’ll look down at my phone and the “tap to pay” is up waiting for me to “double click” the side of my iPhone! What are you trying to get me to buy? I’m not currently paying for anything with your Ap or Business, and I don’t like that I need to make sure to keep my phone away from the machine for fear I might accidently click the side and purchase God knows what.
Why is it doing this? Not cool at all.

I love this little label maker. Always working out my vehicle, it sure does come in handy. The only thing my OCD would like is some colored labels. The only ones I have seen are light shades of purple, yellow, and like light shade of olive. If some normal colors exist, I’d love to give them a try.

This is a great accompanying app. I only have two points. I would absolutely love it if you added a way to crop inserted photos. It would also be great if you could add a way to flip images and icons horizontal or vertical. PLEASE add these features, it would make the app so much better. Thanks!

Great for home use.
I love the app and D11 printer. The many selections of label types and sizes are nice. (cable tie labels/ luminating labels/ longer addresslabels). I purchased a few ($8.99 each at the time of rating) and will update regarding the ease/difficulty with switching and calibrating each time I switch label rolls
The app service bott for support is not very helpful and just regurgitates general info, all which was irrelevant to my support question. The issue was with the App loading device selections to choose before allowing me to access items for puchase. The list to choose from was blank and froze the app. Eventually, it was resolved on its own.

This app is easy to use however even the VIP upgrade is short on icons. They have a plane but no car or truck. I really wanted to add one of those for my office file folders. Really wish they would make photos makes me wonder if I should get a different label maker.

I have to say, it’s very annoying this company decided to run ads while users, who already spent money to buy the product, are using the app. What a greedy decision.

Forcing you to subscribe just to use it
The app updates keep making the NIIMBOT app less usable. You pretty much can’t use any of the label features or save a template without being a VIP.
What’s the point of buying the device if the app you need to use it with requires an annual subscription? Shady business practice.

Change it back to the way it was with all the basic features without needing to pay just to use it.

New update is absolutely trash!
Why can’t you just leave the app alone? All anyone needs it to do is print labels yet you constantly update it which makes it worse every time. This new update is especially bad. The interface is confusing when compared to previous gen, it’s over complicated, and nothing seems to work correctly. Great job team, way to screw up something so simple.

Works for me!
I'm using this with the Niimbot B1 on my MacOS and it works just fine. The interface is designed for a phone but it still works for my basic printing needs, which is to make quick one-off labels. I'm glad to have found such a simple, affordable alternative to Dymo.

Premium basic label making
Using a B1 machine. Easiest label maker I’ve used and the app is delightful. Have been using it for all kinds of things. The one downside if I had to choose one is the niimbot brand labels are a pinch more expensive than generic. But the simplicity of the experience offsets it, tbh.

Words cannot describe how great this little printer is. My coworkers and I ordered this to make detailed badge labels for an event. We’ve now spent about 30 minutes playing with this printer and app, and we’re all downright amazed at what this thing can do. 10/10, 5 stars. We love it.

Printer is great but app keeps crashing
Just got this highly rated/reviewed label maker and LOVED it the first day. I was able to make dozens of labels for my classroom and even bought blue and pink labels to go with the white. All was great until i tried to make more labels…
Now, the next day I’m making some more and the app keeps crashing. The app is having trouble recognizing the paper, saying it’s not the correct brand when i only got Niimbot brand. Then, several seconds later shows the paper is fine. Sometimes the app crashes directly after printing one label, other times it crashes while I’m typing in the text for the label.
I would totally give five starts if the crashing stops. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app plus restarted my phone with no change. The printer is super quick, the labels stick really well, the choices within the app for labels is huge plus tons of formatting options, and it’s quiet and aesthetically appealing.

Good except constantly freezing up
I like the NIIMBOT app that goes with the label printer. However, it is constantly freezing up during use. I have to restart it constantly to be able to print the various labels. It also takes a long time for it to save labels. I do love the features of being able to add images and lots of other features. I would give it 5 stars if it didn’t freeze up so much. It is still definitely an app worth having to use the NIIMBOT label maker though. Hoping the glitches get fixed so it can be more efficient. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Works on iPhone, not iPad
I just got this printer and installed apps on both my iPhone (13) and iPad (pro). Works on the iPhone, but not the iPad. The problem I’m experiencing is that when going to edit a text box on the iPad, the box that pops up below enabling text entering doesn’t show up (but does on the iPhone). Even when I switch orientation from landscape to portrait on the iPad, the edit box still doesn’t show up.

Easy to use, lots of free stuff to chose from + if you subscribe it opens up even more, but even on the free side lots to chose from. Works but No Keyboard Support and Ads
I got the Nimbot about a month ago Bluetooth connects quickly and printer responds to app commands well, the issues I have are the app not working with keyboard or mouse effectively with the iPad. When using iPad you still have to use the touch screen keyboard in order to make labels which is clunky when typing is so much faster. Hopefully this will be addressed when the next update is done because this makes the label making process much smoother and just makes more sense. The Ads also should be removed from the app since it was not advertised as part of the Nimbot purchase. I can understand the app having ads if this was a standalone app used with multiple branded printers but not for items paid for fully. A better marketing method to the developers make ad viewing optional upon device setup not a baked in feature that annoys consumers. So with that said I will give the Nimbot 3 of 5 stars, it would have earned 5 of 5 if the non touch screen iPad keyboard was usable and there were no Ads in the app.

I pad not able to use keyboard
I got this to day excited to use it. When I download the app it contacted by blue tooth with out a any issue. When I tried dual licking on the text I was unable to edit with the keyboard. When I took the I pad off the keyboard dock. I was able to. I disappointed that I have to use the onscreen keyboard to type. I like using my keyboard no the on screen one.

Very good. Works better than expected
Very very happy with this product. I really give a five star review, but in this case, it is totally justified. Everything worked out of the box without even looking at the manual. The app and the Bluetooth on my phone hooked up to the printer with no problems whatsoever. And has been working great every single time.

Can’t enter text on iPad
Which makes this app (and device) rather useless on the iPad. It says double click to enter text. Do this, it shows the “enter text” box at the bottom, and then it immediately disappears.

Easy to configure, operate and it does not waste labels because labels are ready to peel off and you can center before you print. Give a professional finish with sturdy labels. Worth every cent and very cost effective. The app is easy to use and user friendly. Highly recommended over the Cube which I used for 4 years.

What a printer!
I just received my printer and had a chance to print some labels. This printer connects via Bluetooth so fast and does not disconnected for a while. When I turn on the printer it connects right away. This printer prints out the labels really fast. Love it!

I ADMIT I AM NOT THE SMARTEST PERSON, BUT I AIN’T DUMB EITHER. CAN’T FIGURE THIS “USER FRIENDLY APP” OUT. IT SAYS DOUBLE CLICK TO EDIT BUT NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN YOU DO. I would like to revise my original review. My daughter came over and checked it out and it turns out I am the idiot. I was totally missing a step. She walked me through it and now I am very impressed and very pleased with this handy little printer. I have labeled about 100 or more items and works great every time. I really wanted my D1 101 printer to work. Out of the box this app gave me issues with Bluetooth connectivity. then suddenly it worked. I was hopeful. Then I noticed it did not correctly identify the labels installed. I put it aside for a little while allowing it to charge though it had adequate charge on it. When I went to use it again, the labels were identified correctly. I was hopeful again. I printed several labels out and was pleased with the results. I switched the label roll to Christmas labels that were of the same brand. It could not identify the label. The settings were not correct for the label and it would not print on them. It would eject two labels. Though I have manually selected the correct labels it would not work. So after running about 8 to 12 labels through it, I decided to give up. Restarted the app and the printer however, it never detected the Christmas labels in the app. I put the sample roll of labels back in the printer, and it did not detect them.
I am surprised that there have been any successful use of this product by anyone. The labels come with an RFID tag installed. This is how the app is supposed to identify the installed labels. Very clever and keeps you from buying generic cheaper label. That’s OK. I knew that going in. However, I could not get it to work consistently. It was returned. I have not found a replacement that I will trust at this point.

Can’t login. Slow to print first label
I cannot log in (tried FB, Google, email). And the unit is connected but the app says it isn’t. I can print, but it takes a minute or two for the first label to print. Bought the labels that go with the unit. Have to adjust each time or the print does not come out where it should on the label. This is not as easy to use as it appears in the ad. I give 3 stars because once I do get a label to print, I can just use the power button to repeat, but have to adjust the start point of the labels each time to get centered print.

The app is great usually. Can get buggy after using it for an extended stretch of time. I have been using over a year now and they’ve improved it, but I really really want them to add the ability to install fonts. This especially helps with brand identity. Please consider, thank you!

Great Little Label Printer
Just received this printer and I’ve already set it up. The only improvement I would suggest is that you make it a little easier to identify the label number and it sure would be nice to know how many are in the roll. Overall it’s a great value for the money

Freezing problems
The printer I got required this app. The printer works great but the app does not. Every time I log into the app, it freezes after a minute of use. It does not matter what I am doing whether it’s printing out labels or making new ones. I can’t even log in without it freezing. This makes me not want to purchase any more of their products if the required app doesn’t work enough to use the device to begin with.

Good app but 5.2.2 has performance issue
I have been using this app to label custom made products. It really is useful for that however after updating to the latest version I experience significant performance issues on all my apple devices.

Auto date setting now costs $65 per year 👎
Response to developer comment: the developer comment is incomplete. The auto-date feature was the only behavior of date fields in the first version I bought. It then disappeared entirely, and only manual date setting was possible. Then the auto- date setting came back in a beta, but free for everyone to use. Next, they introduced the subscription model, but existing templates with auto-date setting were grandfathered in - that is, those templates were still available and worked for free. Finally, a recent update disabled those existing templates - and that’s why I downgraded the rating.
Update: no thanks to a new subscription model that asks $65 per year to get the auto-date setting feature that I previously had for free. The constant to-and fro on this feature is giving me whiplash. Rating downgraded correspondingly.
I previously wrote: Thank you for restoring the ability to set the current date automatically - lost in a previous update, but now there again, and in a better form. This brings my rating up to 4 stars.

Impressed by this company
Not only is there hardware exceptional, but the software is extremely functional for an entry price label maker. I miss their old app that was a quick and simpler version than the new app but this one is also good

Handy but small
The size of the device is great but the labels are very small and have limited use. Make the product a little larger and then larger labels. File folder labels so small it’s hard to quickly glance and read the text. Bigger text and not enough information on the label. Address labels only allow limited lines and data.

Awesome little compact thermal printer!!
Just got this today and it’s incredible! The possibilities seem endless for sweet label making, perfect for my garage organizing project I’m doing now. I already have a Brother and a P-Touch label maker but they don’t have an app and are physically much much bigger. GREAT JOB GUYS!!

I’m learning a new language. I had hoped and I am now satisfied that this is the perfect little tool for that. I’m going around the house labeling things in the language I am learning. It’s a great help because I can copy paste from a website the style of writing which is not included with the device but this lets me paste it in. So if I can do this with Arabic you can do it with French

I love this little machine!
I just purchased the NiiMbot and I love it! I’m still trying to figure out all of the functions, but let me tell you when I printed my first label, it came out that machine so fast, it shocked me! I was expecting a slow print! I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a fast efficient label printing machine!

DO NOT like the app update!
I love this little printer - but the app update is much more complicated to operate - my favorite font is hone, spacing is way more complicated, it puts random hyphens where hyphens should not be in English, every step is mote complicated & time consuming. The update is not useful to me. I may stop using this printer.

App Update Is Terrible
The way the app was before was a lot better, now I’m constantly wasting labels cause of the centering being messed up. After the update it took off all my saved labels with the correct centering and I can’t get it to work again. Smh.

NiiMbot Printer
Great quality printer / labeler. Prints nicely once you get used to centralizing the label on the tape size that you have in the printer. Bit fussy to set it up & on an iPad the screen wont orientate to the key board which is very frustrating. The label is super sticky & seems to hold good on smooth plastic surfaces. Refill sticky paper tape seems overly expensive which I could only find from the manufacturer of the printer, so they have you there, but if it stays put in wet/damp locations it could be worth it. All my labels have been for inside use so far.
