Description
Simply dial with WhatCall and the person you dial will receive an instant missed call from your number, while you are directed straight to their voicemail without ringing and any possibility of them answering your call.
WhatCall helps you avoid returning or making a call when you don't really want to speak to someone, but gives you the excuse and proof that you tried!
With WhatCall they'll even receive a missed call text message from their network if it supports that feature!
WhatCall works in every country and on most networks that have a voicemail including landline and mobile. It automatically figures out all the dialling codes so you can go ahead and dial in the same local format you use on your iPhone (See screenshot examples for US, UK and Japan).
Examples of where WhatCall is useful:
- Calling in sick to work but don't want to speak to your boss and answer lots of awkward questions. With WhatCall your boss with think you tried calling them while you can leave a voicemail letting them know you won't be in to work.
- Returning a call to a friend or partner when you're busy and don't have time to speak to them. WhatCall will connect you straight to voicemail allowing you to leave a message without spending precious time getting drawn into a conversation.
- Leaving a message for someone you know is unable to answer the phone (eg. in a meeting or putting a baby to sleep) but may have forgotten to turn off their phone. WhatCall will direct your phone calls to their voicemail without ringing and disturbing them.
- Leaving an important message for someone when you don't have time for a full conversation or to type out a long SMS message, use WhatCall and dial direct to voicemail instead.

Good App
This app works well, the only thing I hope for is a whole UI upgrade. It looks kind of old school on an iPhone 6 plus. That's the only thing I would like to see is a whole new design.

Love it ! Do you ever want to go on record of having returned a call but not really want to talk to that person ? Sure you have. Essential app on any phone
Why do I say that? Because of the many ways that you can tailor your voicemail to any user. You can be proper or get silly. You can even be serious with certain callers.

Free and indispensable
Ok, there are issues with this app (although they shaid they are fixed in this version - I havn't tested yet but will update this later), but the service is so vital to my family that I would literally pay whatcall every month to use this app. - UPDATE: Ok it works perfect now!

If you are NOT a fan of being live on the phone (like this kid) there is a GREAT app called what call that allows you to get directly into a cell phone voicemail so that you can craft your message with efficiency and have it delivered to the person you are sending it to.

Must HAVE if in Sales!!!!
I've used it for years without an issue on older iPhones. But when I recently upgraded to the iPhone 7, it stopped working completely. A quick phone call to the developer resulted in directions to fix the problem – delete the app, restart your phone, reinstall the app. All works well again!

Doesn't work
I wasted 2 credits testing this app to see if it actually worked. It didn't. I placed a call to my son's cell phone and it didn't go to his voicemail. It didn't call his phone at all. I burned up to credits trying to get it to work.
UPDATE: Customer service is excellent. The issue was explained and my account was credited.

I just downloaded and it and it works great. NO problems. I don't hear any ads either. Not sure if they show up after so many calls or what but I haven't had sit through an ad yet.

Worked perfectly for me
Needed to avoid a long call and downloaded this app for that purpose and it worked flawlessly. No ads, no problems. Maybe they kick in with continued use, I don't know. I'm happy with this app.

It works great and I never rate any thing but this works good. Why did some people give bad ratings? They fixed some problems in this version but to be honest i never had any problems in the old version either

My career is in public service. I do a lot of networking and fundraising. I make a lot of phone calls everyday. whatcall makes life so much easier for me. I can leave voice messages without ever having to talk to people most of the time. It's a nice touch and it saves me lots of time.

Whatcall is actually one of those apps that will sit on your phone for days, weeks or months and you probably won't use it for ages but when you do need it you'll know exactly where to find it :) There's no bloatware so keeping it installed is a no brainer

Good app but with some issues.
So first it works and does what it says, it even does it quickly without ads or annoying bs to deal with. My only problem was when i reinstalled it but after a few emails they managed to sort it out
