The biggest thing for me is the shot tracking which is almost always accurate, unless you have poor lighting. But the other drills like the dribbling ones and conditioning ones have tracking errors often. When you reach to hit a target it is very hit or miss and not consistent so it can be hard to get in a rhythm but other than that it’s a good app

I made a review on here before and gladly it was answered, (thanks) I do love to train on here, it’s so much fun. This is a brilliant app! The best part for me is to see relatives who live so far on here, see their workouts, like and comment. But now I can’t do that! They have to be a member now for me to see it? Why?
I would gladly pay to help fund this app but I don’t get why it has to be that! It’s pretty pushy.
Text is relevant but using HomeCourt is way more fun! One of the many reasons why I use it!!
If this for some reason can’t be taken off is somewhat understandable, but people will really just shoot a video text, defeats the whole “get your friends to monthly/yearly buy!”
Keep up the great work and looking forward to future updates!

I have mentioned this several times to support with no response. The one si ole fix that would make this app a game changer is separating players by age groups. There are few things that are more disheartening than to compete against a 9 year old who high dribble is one foot off the ground. I think it’s great to get the young ones trained, but categorize them like tournaments would do. This way you have a true sense of measurement against your peers and how you compare based off of your age group.

Let’s start out by saying, I’m not a super motivated person. I play basketball for school and I want to progress more, but I never feel motivated to practice! I go outside for a few minutes every few months or so and shoot a little because my mom says I should practice. It’s never very fun and doesn’t help me since I never try.
But then one day it all changed.....
(By the way that day was today)
We found and app called HomeCourt and I was like, “huh, let’s give it a try!” I ran outside with my ball and my iPad, and literally, I don’t think I’ve ever practiced that long! I was outside for almost three hours, practicing! At first I did a little dribble drill, then my dad came out and we decided to try shooting.
This app is a GENIUS!
Well, not the app, the masterminds who made it! You’ve made me enjoy practicing basketball!
Anyways the point I was getting to was that this app just blew my mind. It knew when I made a shot. It knew when I missed a shot. It could even tell the difference between me and other people, which is awesome!
For the people who say they hate this app, it’s the worst, etc etc, their loss! It’s too bad they are too busy typing out long, all-caps reviews to recognize the amazing creation this app really is! If anything can keep me from sitting and watching YouTube videos for three hours straight, it’s worthwhile!
Sorry this sounds like one of those cheesy reviews that seems like a fake or that the person was payed to say it, but I promise, this is all from the heart! Normally I would say the pros and cons of an app, but I can’t think of many cons! The only one that comes to mind is that sometimes it didn’t count shots that went it, or it counted a shot that didn’t make it in. That’s alright though, the app is amazing as is!
I know I just got the app today, but I feel that I have improved more in the three hours I practiced with this app today than in weeks and months of practicing by myself!
Oh also! I had an idea!
It would be cool if you could do games like H-O-R-S-E on here! I know this is supposed to be pretty professional but who doesn’t like to get a friend and play some horse? You might could be able to see who got what letters, who lost, etc. I understand this would be difficult and take awhile to implement into the app, so no pressure to add it! Just a suggestion for if you guys needed ideas!
I’m planning to get some friends and make teams, so we can play together and beat high scores together!
I also love how this app can bring people together through one thing:
Basketball.
Even if we can’t see each other in person, we can use this app to connect with one another and share something we love! We can compete even if they live across the country, we can do SO MUCH! I have two more words for the developers.

HomeCourt gives me the motivation to exercise every day doing something I love. The variety and the challenges offered through the app give me something to look forward to everyday.
My game has improved over the past year as I’ve consistently used HomeCourt. Every part of my game has been taken to the next level. The pay off came when I had the chance to start playing in games. My confidence level had increased tremendously because of the hours and hour I spent using HomeCourt. First off the app is super laggy it doesn’t track my daughters moves you have to stand like 20 feet away from the camera it says she doing it wrong but her couch even said his son tried it and it sucked if I were you I would never ever use this app again so I got my daughter a dribble up basketball set that comes with a app and literal basketball so if I were all of you forget this stupid app and go to dribble up and get the basketball set it might be pricey but it’s better than this hunk of junk

This app is great! I love all the shooting ball handling etc activities that they have. I have mainly used ball handling and I had no issues what so ever. I used it every day for a month until I got on today, it told me I needed to update the app. I did not thinking much of it, when I went into the app a lot changed. I still was able to do my workout but a lot of my features were taken away that I really enjoyed to use. This included the skill rating, how to view my workouts and much more. I dislike how I had this app and had those features and in an update with no warning they were taken away from me. I would love some of those key features back without having to pay 70 dollars a year for an app. Overall I love this app and just hope they change a couple things.

I downloaded this app cause I love bbal and I practice a lot so I thought why not get better? So I downloaded it and it was great it had a bunch of different categories to choose form to practice so I did ball handling and I crushed it!! So then I thought why don’t I try conditioning and this is where I started hating the app. So it said track your push-ups, jumping jacks, high knees and so on so I did pushups and I started doing them it didn’t even count one!!! Ridiculous!! So I was like how about jumping jacks once again another mistake I started doing them and it didn’t even count one! So I’m starting to get fed up so then I do ball handling again and I started doing all the moves and I didn’t even count one! I’m so fed up with this app! Don’t even get me started in the ball height routine because that was just a nightmare it was like low and I was doing it and it was like you’re doing it wrong wrong and I was doing it with the right hand this app is a piece of crap don’t get it unless you have a lot of patience which I don’t! Not getting this again!

Overall, this app does a valiant job at tracking. However, three main issues:
1) Battery issues. It’s logical that this app would eat battery like crazy; and while that does happen, it’s understandable. However, this app somehow causes the battery estimator to go crazy. I started with 50 percent battery, and just two minutes later my phone said I was at 1 percent. I plugged in my charger, then about two minutes later it said I was back at 45 percent. Not sure if it’s the app or the phone.
2) Overheating. I have an 8 plus, so age has something to do with it, but in order for the app to work on full power without slowing down or missing things, I have to take the phone out of its case AND run a desk fan to blow air across it. Otherwise after about five minutes the app slows down, misses actions, and overall creates a frustrating experience. Once it overheats, I have to take the phone off the app, let it rest for a couple minutes, then resume. Again, probably not all the app’s fault, since it does require a lot of processing power.
3) Had trouble dealing with hand movements. On the agility training, occasionally will miss hands hitting targets very far away. Again, likely due to phone overheating.
Overall, a promising app with a few frustrations here and there, but if you temper expectations, it’s a great companion app for working out.

I had this app before it was an Editor’s Choice app. I had it in January 2020. There was still a subscription program but most of the content was free. I had deleted the app because I was in need of storage on my phone. I reinstalled the all in November 2020 and now almost everything I did before requires a subscription. There are people who cheat and like still get on the leaderboard word can get back on the leaderboard like they should be banned for like a week or two to learn their lesson well sometimes they keep doing it and it’s annoying to get on the leaderboard and to pretend like you’re very good on the leaderboard but like it’s just dumb because I have to work very hard to get a good score on my drill and they just use cheats like crossovers and they still get their drill like all done in all good and a very good score that goes on the leaderboard like I saw one video where this kid did you have a basics and all he needed to do is crossovers and the dribble basics it doesn’t count my left or right sometimes my crossover dribbles it says wrong hand

Hi. I use HomeCourt everyday. There is one problem. In the dribbling drills such as 300 combo, it keeps telling me wrong hand. It gets pretty annoying and also makes my time go higher. Even though I am dribbling with the correct hand, it still says this.

The app is great but the leaderboard system is crap. Most of the time it is somebody cheating using things that are not allowed for the drill. Also another thing is that when doing some of the drills where you touch targets with your hands it doesn’t think you actually touch it so you lose points. It makes it so frustrating when you are really close to beating your high score.
