I downloaded and paid the $6 for this app because I hate ads when I’m trying to look up a simple QR code. The app appears to work fine and does exactly what I need but if I pay for no ads, that’s what I expect to get. If it wasn’t for the ads after I paid to remove them, I would give it 5 stars.

Not happy with this app
Tried the app by scanning the QR Code on the Menards rebate form. It showed me what I wanted to see. Made the one time payment to remove the ads, still getting ads!!!!

I have never purchased a scanner and am being billed weekly.
Talked with very professional Apple support person on 12/31 and she canceled that subscription and said she would request
A full refund.
I am eighty would have remembered such a purchase.

The first time I tried zooming in on a code I had a bit of trouble getting it centered, but the app popped up a “read” before I thought I had a good view of it!!

Finally, a QR scanner that works!!
I have had such bad luck with QR/barcode scanners, so i googled top 5 QR apps and downloaded them all. Two of them had no zoom feature, only recognized 2 out of 6 codes scanned, and those couldn’t be linked to a product. The other two were just ok and a little slow. This app by Gamma Play was far and away the best I’ve ever used. Not only super fast, it recognized the code so fast that I didn’t even have time to make the view bigger on the camera, like you have to on all the others. It captured all six codes, even though it didn’t find one of the products (none of the others got it either). Later i found out it was a really old code and product was discontinued. Oh, last thing, after last update you can now delete your history, which is great.

Oh, it scans QR Codes, but then it just opened a screen with a plain text link. Couldn't click it. Couldn't copy it. Nothing. Also, why have a pop up pleading users to rate the app when I already clicked that I wanted to rate it? Pointless and annoying.

Broke my heart
I was stoked to find this, then I tried to use it, and my stress level went up so high it literally broke my heart. QR scanner didn't work and just kept taking pictures without me doing anything. Super frustrating! The barcode scanner worked after a few tries, but then zoom in particular(even after setting changes) was a mess.

Camera and Ads
I had downloaded this for a quick scan, but it froze. I know it isn't my phone since I had closed and reopened the app a multitude of times, only for the camera to freeze it again.
I then went into the settings and changed some of the default settings to see if that was the problem, but after I had fiddled with the settings some, I went back to the camera (which was still frozen btw) and was met with an ad.
Normally, I wouldn't be so bothered about it. But I went into the settings multiple times to fiddle with it and was met with an ad every single time I went back to the camera.

Finally! A great QR app
I downloaded a few others before finding this one. The others were inconsistent or bogged down with adds, or just didn't work. This one is simple, clean and, most importantly, works perfectly. Thanks for a truly great app!
