Description

Hatch Baby Rest is a night light, sound machine, and ok-to-wake indicator in one modern device, designed to control and program conveniently from your phone. As your child moves from bassinet to big kid bed, Rest grows with your needs - first providing soft light for middle-of-the-night diaper changes and nursing sessions, then alerting your toddler when it is ok to get out of bed in the morning.

Simple and easy to use

The app is very simple and easy to use. It easily connects with the device. I don't even use the controls on the device because it is so much easier from the app. My only critique is that when the device is running a programmed setting, updating the settings do not seem to take effect until the next time the program is ran.

Lanscape mode gone?

I had a review on here about landscape mode not working correctly and the developers responded promising a fix. Well the "fix" was removing landscape mode altogether. If I didn't want it there why would I have even mentioned it!? That's a cop out and I expected better.

Sleeping longer

Got one of these for my 3yo when he moved into his big boy bed because he kept sneaking out of his room at 5am. After about a week of using it, he now stays in bed until the green light turns on 6:30. We're all sleeping better! The app is fun and easy to use.

Love at First Light

We LOVE our Hatch Baby Rest. We have a 2 year old that has rarely slept through the night... until now. We received our light about 2 weeks ago and explained the "rules" to her. Blue is the sleeping light, pink is the awake light. Within only a few days she was waking at night and falling back to sleep on her own, then calling for us once her light turned pink in the morning, instead of standing up and crying like she used to.
This past weekend we transitioned to a big girl bed and this light has made it a breeze. She knows the routine and has stuck with it. She doesn't leave her bed when the light is blue, but immediately jumps out and runs to our room if she sees pink. She is the type of child that thrives off of boundaries, rules, and routines, and this light is just what we needed. We'll soon be buying a 2nd light for little sister.
Now, if only it also came in a travel size!

Love it

This is a great app and product! I live with loud roommates but this white noise machine enables me to sleep with things going on outside my room. The app is pretty cool and I enjoy playing with the colors.

Nice product

Great sound quality, easy to use, customizable. Knocked off a star due to the lack of wifi (requires Bluetooth) and a bit on the pricy side. Otherwise, solid product!

Get this!!

You won't find a better sound machine for kids! Then throw in the night light and ok to wake light and it's truly a must have. Beyond love my hatch baby rest!

Great idea, bad execution.

The light itself works really well. However the app needs some serious work. It seems to only connect to my phone 50% of the time, if that. I am sitting right beside the light and I keep getting the message that the light cannot be found. I would increase my rating if the app would get straightened out.

Great sound machine

I ordered this to use for my 7 month old and have been happy with it so far. I like that I can control it with my phone or program it to turn on/off by itself, and I can't wait until my son is old enough to use the ok to wake function. I only gave 4 stars because I've noticed that sometimes in the middle of the night the sound will do a quick fade out and then turn back up within a few seconds. I also wish that there were more sounds to choose from and that I could customize them so that I have 2-3 sounds together, like thunderstorms, waves crashing and wind, or something like that

Great interface, no issues so far

We've bought 3 units and have had zero issues. Programming the preset sound/color modes is easy, much like using the iPhone alarm interface. Love being able to crank up the volume when we put kid #1 to sleep then turn it down from outside his room after the others go down for the night.

App could use updates

Love the nightlight and white noise and the ability to use my phone to control it. The only issue I have is with the app and how it has trouble with connecting to the machine most of the time, and often "resets" if I close out of the app. Hopefully there will be some updates to fix it!!

So great that I have two!

I have a 3 year old and a newborn and have TWO Rests that I use differently! My 3 year old swears by the ok-to-wake setting and hangs out in his room until the light turns green (we use it in the morning and at nap time! Parenting win!). He also loves the nightlight function. With my newborn, I'm using the white noise to soothe her throughout the night and the light on the dimmest setting to nurse her at night without waking her fully (or disturbing my sleeping husband). The app is easy to use and the device itself looks and works great! Must have for parents of kids of all ages!

Idea is great, but it's very buggy

About 75% of the time the app can't find the rest that I'm standing right next to. It takes forever to get the app to connect to it. Pretty disappointed.

Great first version

Overall pretty great! Would love to be able to set a program or a preset from the main screen. It is easier to set a light level and sound level live and would be nice to save that setting. Hopefully that will be added.

We love our Rest!

My one year old absolutely loves our Rest, and so do I! It's been a huge help in getting him on a healthy sleep schedule, and his naps are longer than ever! He's excited every morning when the light turns green and the bird noises gently wake him up. The app is easy to use and I love that I can easily change the light or sounds in the nursery without having to get up!
