I am running iOS 16.6.1 and all of a sudden the “back” button has disappeared. Whenever I look at someone’s profile private pics, I can’t go back. I literally have to reboot the app… When I go to update my profile, there’s no save button port back button, so I have to reboot the app and then go back and realize that the profile has not been updated. And why is it that when I block certain people from accessing my private packs they can still view them??

**BEARS BEWARE THIS APP IS COMPLETELY NON-FUNCTIONAL ON IOS 17**
This app no longer works on iOS 17 which is no surprise considering the last update was over 3 years ago. I am currently only able to access the app and my account via a spare phone running an older iOS version. Be advised that if you update to iOS 17, it’s at your own risk of losing your account at this point, as there is no way to access outside of the app or really get to the dev. How they can still consciously accept payment for a product subscription is beyond me when they’ve basically left this app to die.
The app is otherwise okay but obviously not designed for newer devices and in need of a massive refresh. Videos cause crashes, removing private access causes crashes, just old and unoptimized.

The concept of the app is awesome and I love it. There’s really no other platform like it. It’s like instagram meets old tumblr. My issue is that updates haven’t been pushed out in 3+ years. I had someone repetitively requesting an unlock, even after I blocked them, I was still getting notifications that they were still requesting an unlock, a total of 20x. If you’re giving the option to block someone can it please actually block them ? There’s so many quality of life changes that can be made to the app for improvement, but again, it hasn’t been updated in 3 years. I guess I’m not sure why there hasn’t been any app development when they’re still collecting profit off of premium features

When will there ever be an update? The annoyances continue. If I leave the app for a moment and come back it auto reloads the entire feed so you have to start from the beginning. It’s so lame. Also the lack of dark mode? For $80/yr I expect a little more.
The concept is great, tumblr meets instagram with a heavier social aspect blended in. Lots of pictures of men from across the world, tap to like their photo, they can tap to like your photo, then you can chat. So that part is great and works mostly well. The most annoying thing about the app is that when you leave the app and return it auto refreshes and puts you back to the top of the photo feed. So then you can to scroll with all of the pics you’ve already seen to get back to where you started. I’d get it if I left the app for more than say 15-20 minutes. But to answer a text message then go back a minute later and have it refresh. Grrrr! The other thing, the price. I’m all about supporting apps but there has to be a balance. A paid membership is $80 a year! This seems pretty steep for being able to see videos, not much value. If it were $40 a year I’d be alright with that because the app is fun to use. Otherwise the free version is still a lot of fun.

This is a great app indeed. My favorite part is that with the private albums you are completely in control. If you don’t want to see someone’s they cannot arbitrarily send them to you. You have to request them essentially giving this bit of consent.
The unfortunate news, or at least what it appears to be is that the new iPhone update has seemingly restricted my ability to open the app. I think because it has potentially explicit material.

There hasn’t been an update in two years. Full screen video locks up the app after it plays so you can’t go back without closing the app. Pinch/tap to zoom works inconsistently. You still can’t rotate images to the orientation of your phone. The likes I give posts don’t always stick. I see new message notifications for messages I’ve deleted. Also the app automatically pastes whatever you have in your clipboard at launch. I really do enjoy this app but it’s getting harder to justify paying for a membership if years old issues aren’t being addressed.

When uploading a new photo, it would usually show up on the Worldwide and Around Me tabs. I posted the same picture a few times over the past few days and they haven’t shown up. Similarly, a photo I posted the previous week didn’t show up but the second time I posted it, it showed up. Not sure why it’s so inconsistent. They all post to my profile, but can tell when it doesn’t show up on ‘Around Me’ or ‘Worldwide’ because I’ll at least get a like or view.

App works wonderfully and has loads of users! Lots of bears who are active and nice as well. This app has created a great environment and has multiple uses. My biggest “gripe” is that everything pertaining to a link in your profile or in a post is taken down. As an OF creator it is hard to build a base when I can’t even post a link to my Twitter. I wish this wasn’t a thing or was an option in the profile editor to have that be posted!

This app is so much better than all the other gay apps I’ve used. It’s a great blend between social media and meeting local guys. It’s helped my boyfriend feel more body positive and I think that’s amazing! Great app! I feel the community support and bond I once felt in apps like GROWLr and Scruff before they got muscle and muscle chaser dominated. I bought a membership and feel it is worth it to support such a great app. That being said, there is room for improvement such as: ability to unlock for a person, sending a flirt, and maybe a forum for wider discussions.

It’s still a buggy app.. it’s not as bad as it was BUT they now have annoying loud video ads(still play even If your phone is muted) on the system for ANYTHING you do unless your a VIP member. While an ad at the bottom or top of the page is fine and acceptable this is NOT ok.
If your app was not as buggy as it is then paying for it wouldn’t be that bad. In the past even with the bugs I would recommend this app to everyone, but with the bugs and the LOUD video ads, Not anymore.

Overall if your looking for different experience that as limited as grizzly, Baskit, and daddy hunt your looking at the right app. I would say that I think its worth putting money into this app. Free basics are excellent, when you liked and ask for to many private photos it can be limited. I would recommend buying the subscription it’s worth it.

Since the latest update, you can't look up all the people you're following unless you shell out for a paid account. And the buttons to switch your feed from "worldwide" to "followed" or "private" seem to have disappeared, so you can't even see posts from the people you're following. Borderline unusable now.
Edit: Issues seem to be fixed, changed my rating. The app does a lot of things better than other gay social apps. Needs a user search though.

Initially you had plenty of freedom without upgrading to their VIP options, and I understood when they tacked in a couple more to make VIP more valuable. But now you have to pay to look at your followers and who you’re following? At the rate they are taking away options, they might as well charge for everything you post. Would it be possible to be able to manually update the ‘worldwide’ photo feed; maybe by pulling down from the top like you would other apps? I only ask because when you open the app from being closed and see someone of interest...if I don’t tap their profile fast enough, it goes away and it’s VERY difficult to find them again as the app auto reloads with the latest photos. Scrolling downwards doesn’t guarantee that I’ll see the profile again depending on how long it’s been since that photo has been posted.

Lots of improvements being made (video!!) and app has become a lot more stable with recent updates.
Dev team is SUPER responsive so that’s a major plus.
Subscription model is still a little bit of a downer but devs have to make money to support the app infrastructure somehow so I get it!
Overall, solid and fun app!
It keeps improving...

When this app first came out it was kind of a buggy mess, now it’s truly awesome. I think the addition of VIP/subscription features is great. Love the fact that we can finally upload videos... BUT it’s a bit useless without the ability to upload videos from your camera roll. This is an insane omission that renders the new video feature almost uselsss.
