Update: Not Easy as pie!

With the new update everything I wrote before this new update is not true the UI is complicated and cumbersome. it’s not worth using anymore as It just got silly. As soon as I post this I’m gonna delete it from my phone. Remember the bottom is how it used to be; it’s exactly the opposite now.

I have not found anything negative about this app. I rarely write app reviews, but this app is an exception. Everything works perfectly, the UI is intuitive and easy, and the ads have been surprisingly unobtrusive. NOT

Currency Converter Not Updating

I really like this app’s design and usability, but I recently noticed that the currency converter isn’t automatically updating. This is a big deal for people who travel as currency rates fluctuate daily. I’m in Japan and the yen hit 150 to the dollar. My app still shows 136.24. Am I missing something here? Having to manually update the rate every time I use it makes this function unusable.

Edit: The App Developer has notified me that they’ve fixed the currency conversion rate update problem. It note shows the correct rate. I’ve updated my rating accordingly. It’s gone from good to great. Thanks!

Another handy app ruined

Before 2025, this app had no adds, except for the small banner at the bottom that you could end by clicking it off. Now, the app requires you to consent to have ads, and if you don’t want ads, you must subscribe for a $9.99 annual fee. The app now locks with the consent/ad option overlay making it useless unless you subscribe to the fee-based no ad option. Seems like forcible consent. Deleting this app and downloading a different one.

Forced to select “Allow App to Track”

I haven’t launched the app in a week or so and when I do there is instructions to click a consent button, I guess I’m consenting to viewing ads. So I click the consent button. Next there are instructions regarding the option for allowing or not allowing the app to track you. These instructions tell me I have to click allow the app to track otherwise I won’t be able to use the app. The instructions go on to say I can go back in and change it after. I’m not sure if that’s immediately or if I have to wait, it doesn’t specify. I’ve never had any of the other app force me to click the allow to track option. Even if I can go in and change the option immediately that doesn’t sit right with me. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I’m deleting this app. Maybe specify why you’re forcing people to select the track option.

There have been several times I had no Internet connection and needed to convert some values. This app will not let you do anything without an Internet connection—and it will tell you that. I simply deleted the app and found one of those that works offline.

Doesn’t work anymore

The app no longer works after the latest update. Ever since I’ve had it, it’s been fantastic, but there was an update today that made it stop working. When I open the app, it teases me with the main menu for half a second, and then locks the screen, not letting me do anything! It’s telling me to reorder the icons, but no matter what I do it won’t let me do that! I’ve tried to do what it’s telling me, but nothing works! I can’t even use the app! Just get rid of the icon rearranging so that I can use the app again! I have to hope that this is a bug, because this new feature certainly isn’t working as intended, since it’s locking out all other features and preventing the app from being used!

This was an excellent application that I had enjoyed for some time. This latest update will not allow its use unless connected to Wi-Fi. Cellular data plan will not open the application, only Wi-Fi connection.

My feedback in situations like this, for every app that holds me hostage for my opinion before releasing me to go about my business ,as I had planned, is evermore the same “Stop!“ Please show me the respect and common decency that I deserve by not hijacking my process and requiring me to answer a question before I can be free to complete my tasks. Please assume my intelligence and ability to find an use a “contact us” link to submit my suggestions and feedback should I choose to do so. I am extremely busy and have difficulty focusing on any one task in the midst of annoyances and distractions. It seems to me the reasonable question for your company would be: “do we want this individual using/exploring the benefits of our product or would we rather interrupt his thought process and cause him to forget what the heck he was trying to use it for in the first place, or would we rather have him click yes or no and then give us an answer that we won’t be actionable with anyway, and in this way end up with no changes to our annoying policies and now a potential upgrade gone, or a referral to new business is left feeling unappreciated and frustrated with nothing nice to say about the product?”

For those of you that might copy text from your banking app, a password stored in an app, etc, I would think twice about using this. Just what I needed and more !

It goes from download to 5 stars in less than 60 seconds !

Nice looking Home Screen, the icons are simple yet beautiful, specially the speeding car.

Scrolling the units side by side is as simple and effortless as it gets, the calculator-like numbers couldn’t be easier to use, the switch back button is a nice plus.

All the units are ok and even though the currency may be off a little by obvious reasons, the countries’ flags and name of their currencies makes it worth if just for learning purposes.

Not likely I will remove this app from my phone and puzzled about ( if any can be done ) improvements the developers may try introduce in the future,

Very Useful

Got this app for travel in Spain last Spring for weights, temperatures, exchange rate conversions. Used it today to convert kilograms to pounds on a web site that used metrics measures. Simple, useful, comprehensive. Highly recommend, even for non-travelers.

Not bad but no slugs

I needed an app to help me quickly convert metric weights to slugs. ( another metric weight ) I didn’t find one. I thought that an app with such variety of conversions would have slugs but, nope. Not even the best can have it all. I would rate 4 stars if you added slugs in and 5 if you made a better GUI, just saying.

Like the old version better

Wish it was like the old version where you didn’t have to change back and forth between units. For example, the in the old version you could switch from millimeter to inches and back simply by clearing and entering values on either side. Now you have to scroll up or down to find millimeters or inches each time you want to switch values.

the best conversion app I’ve found

I had probably tried half a dozen other apps for converting units of measure. They were all klunky and hard to use, with an awkward interface that made it difficult to switch between different kinds of measurements. This one is the first I found that’s really well-designed and intuitive. It’s easy to find the one I’m looking for and easy to switch to another. Definitely a keeper!

It is well designed. I have a currency converter that is ok but I loaded this app about 20 minutes ago and have been unable to put it down. Nice app

I installed this app when my wife and I visited Peru. We used it a lot there. It's very easy to use.

Since then I continue to use it more than I thought I would. You just never know when you will need to convert liters to ounces or inches to meters. Or more often I convert foreign currency to dollars when watching TV. The rates constantly update.

Pretty dammn useful
