AMAZING, USEFUL APP!

I am a retro game collector. I never really kept inventory of my collection. This app easily allowed me to inventory my collection (over 700 games and consoles so I had a lot to input) and get real market prices on each item!!! It’s so easy to use. I’m not tech savvy and this app made everything easy. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this app! And you can download an excel sheet with all your inventory! This is a must have for game collectors. One of the most useful apps in my world! 👏👏👏👏

Gameye is INCREDIBLE

As a video game collector, I am constantly using Gameye. I’m always tracking prices, additions to my collection and researching trends, Gameye does it all. I’ve recommended this app to so many people as a way to easily keep track of your collection. It has Amiibo support as well. Just overall a great app and I’ll continue to use it for years to come.

Amazing and every synonym of amazing

This app has everything I could want or need as a collector. I’ve had issues with similar apps in the past crashing and my list is gone/not having much info/going defunct and stop working, but the ability to export the list as both a restore point and a spreadsheet made me confident enough to make the plunge into compiling my pretty big collection on here. The only issues I’ve encountered are the cart recognition not working particularly well and some missing info on some older games, but I’m not very inconvenienced by it and have confidence these gaps will be filled over time. I love being able to use tags and notes for organization. My one wish would be a list of what is included in a complete copy of a particular game. I can’t remember if certain games have manuals or if special edition pieces have been lost somewhere. Looking at if someone is selling a manual doesn’t work since they seem to be counting the various loose papers for some games as manuals. I could look it up easy enough, so it’s a wish, not a need. Very happy! Great job devs!

Exactly What I Needed!!

GAMEYE is exactly what I need to log my game collection! The barcode scanner worked every time, and you can also manually enter your game in and find your copies. Having Price-Charting right in the App makes my life considerably easier. All in all, way better than using an Excel sheet and manually looking up prices. And it’s FREE! Highly recommended. This app is amazing and perfect to quickly check prices to see if you’re getting ripped off. And simple to keep count of my collection.

I LOVE this app and it’s the best way to catalogue your collection.

one thing that would be cool is if to the left of the game it would say the number in which order it is sorted. Only for when browsing your collection not for when manually adding something. What I mean by this is like if you were to sort it by title, the top would say “1” and when you scroll to the middle for example it could say “401”

Great for Collectors!

The app is easy to use and the database of games/consoles/etc is ENORMOUS! It’s extremely easy to add multiple and import/export the games. Also contains pretty accurate value data for the items. The best part about it: NO SUBSCRIPTION. It’s completely free to use and save unlike the other collector apps. Would highly recommend using for collectors of all types!

Database Not Accurate

The database is filled with homebrew games. For example the Game Boy section has Pokemon Unova Red, Pokemon C*ck, and so on. So much clutter! This makes your overall progress inaccurate. This app would be perfect it wasn’t for such a fatal flaw. Until this is fixed, sticking to notes.

Great but missing something

First of all this app is great it’s got so many different consoles, it’s got all the different special addition controllers and consoles, it’s got prices of things and rating of games. As a new video game collector it’s super helpful and as an adamant video game player the little thing to say how much of the game you’ve played and if you’ve beat it is super helpful to keep track. I also love that they added print media and toys to life cause I’ve been wanting to collect those. But the one thing this app is missing and I would love to see is being able to filter out digital only games because I’m only interested in collecting physical copies of games so if there was like a setting or something to do that along with filtering out pc games due to the fact you can pretty much play any game on pc and their all digital which I don’t care about. Overall this is a great app for video game collectors and has pretty much anything video game related you can think of, love the app and I’m gonna put a lot of use into it. Thank you devs

Great App.

I just downloaded the app the other day. So far it is a great app. I am able to scan if I have a barcode or input manually if I don’t. I have found a few things that I am unable to find. Being able to look up online in the app to upload info would be nice or taking a photo myself and adding it the list would be nice also.

One thing that I feel should be in a update is the ability to log in and create an account so that I can put the same list on more than one media device. For example my phone and my husbands phone as we are not always in the same place while shopping for items I would love for each of us to be able to look and see if we already have an item.

Awesome app, could use more flexibility

Recording collections is hard. What the app author has done here is fantastic for the community and I hope it co to yes to thrive.

Suggestion for a future version: custom fields! I love the notes section but it would be really cool if I could define my own set of say 4 or 5 fields, and show them on all games in my collection. The workaround I do now is a mix of tags and notes, which can be very tedious.

Perhaps just custom text fields to start. But eventually having pre-populated multi-select fields would also be cool too.

Was Perfect Until….

So I downloaded this on a whim. It was great better than great it was almost perfect, with the barcode scan and go, until I downloaded it on my ipad to continue adding on from there only to realize its not transferable. Theres an export option but no import. No account to log into so you cant go from iphone to ipad to pc if you wanted to. So basically if I was to lose my iphone or trade it in I would have to start all over again. Now that i apparently wasted my time I will just go back to one of old sites i used and update on there. RF Generation and gamevaluenow (not updated as often to recognize newer games just fyi). RF Generation is better minus the lack of value for each game/system/accessory.

Update: Developer or employee of developer sent an email that was quite rude instead of just explaining how to do the transfer they had to add a snarky opening sentence. Unprofessional to say the least

Very useful; freezes a LOT

I'd easily rate this app 5 stars if it wouldn't freeze on me everytime I try using it. I believe it used to be more stable in the past as well. Incredibly robust collector's resource, but the stability really knocks it down a few pegs.

Great that you can save your collection as a file in case anything happens though (never had to import a save in the two years i've had the app, but still a great safety measure nonetheless).

Constantly freezing and crashing

This is a wonderful app except for the fact that it is constantly crashes and freezing. Sometimes I will be able to add maybe one game and then the touchscreen stops cooperating with the app.I don’t know if it just needs to be updated but it’s really frustrating

Could Be Better

Some games don’t have a price, some games aren’t even there, the prices are different if you do the same game but on a different account, and last but not least the CIB price is lower than the game when it is boxed.

For example, Super Mario All Stars doesn’t appear, Pokémon Shield is a different price on a different account even though they have the same settings, and For example the game MarioKart 7 for the 3DS is 12 dollars loose, the manual is 4 dollars, and the box is 6 dollars. That would lead you to believe the CIB is $22, but it is $15. $7 is disappearing from the total part combined to CIB.

I hope you can please fix these because this is the best app I have found.

Still needs some work

I like the convenience of this app and seeing a value on my consoles and games. However some of my games aren’t priced and simply have a question mark and several of the prices don’t come remotely close to what the games go for online. A good example is Puppeteer on PS3 a super expensive game that the app shows at less than half of its price currently and mine is CIB.

It’s touchy sometimes…

I enjoy the app and was able to assess and assemble most of my collections as I play or complete them. The issue of being less than 5 stars is the app regularly becomes unresponsive after entering a few games or additions. I think my dear old phone, i7, may play a part but took note that it’s becoming more frequent. The app resumes functioning in a few hours after closing and relaunching.

TL;DR: Good app; minor gripes when in a hurry.

Literally unplayable

I got this app to try and get around another app wanting to purchase more space but I got maybe 5 games categorized before the app just started crashing constantly. I can’t even add one more game without the app freezing at some point in the process and forcing me to close it. I gave it multiple chances, even waited a few days to see if it was temporary. Nope. I cannot use this app at all. It’s a shame, but I guess I’ll have to pay for the other app anyways. At least I know that one works.

Pretty good app

I've just finished entering my whole collection and the app made it much easier than others I've used. I very much enjoy being able to filter and sort by different criteria, so I can see, for example, the oldest game I have that I have not beaten yet. No app is perfect and there's some room for improvement, but my main request would be for it to use iCloud to sync the database across devices so I could access my collection on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Frustrating

I have a very extensive Gameboy Advance collection. This app is supposed to allow users to scan carts for faster archiving but that’s impossible because I can’t choose the Gameboy Advance as a platform when scanning! I have to add dozens of games manually (many don’t have boxes with a barcode to scan) because this feature is useless for me. Even popular Japanese games don’t show up or aren’t even recognized. A frustrating experience all around.

This app is so easy to use and helpful. I own many games from all my Nintendo consoles going back to my NES and several handhelds. Also, I have over a 100 Nintendo Power and some other gaming magazines including strategy guides. This app has helped me to organize all of this and acts like a reference guide as well. Needs some work

Needs a little more work, but has promise. 1) Game cart scan didn't work well for me with a Vita cart. 2) The UI is a little unstable. Stuff shifts around unexpectedly. 3) No differentiation between regions of games? Like I can't register the JP version separate from the EU version of the same title?

Best I’ve ever used

I’ve been using this app for years with my collection when it was at it’s peak and after the downsize and this app has done wonders. It’s so organized and easy to use along with providing useful information such as pricing and etc all in once place. Hopefully it gains a multi device sync feature soon as I would gladly pay for cloud backup. Go with this and thank yourself later!

I love this app...

This app is great, I gave it 5 stars because it is absolutely free to use. There is room to improve, but again it’s free. I like that you can add your consoles as well as games. One thing I would like to see improve is on import games but that’s a small thing. One other thing I like is the wishlist it will keep track and when you purchase a title you just add it to your games.

Pretty solid library application

This is extremely helpful for when you need to know what games you already have in your collection. If you’re okay with investing the time to catalog your library of games, this makes it very easy to access and organize to said library. The bar scanner is very helpful with adding your games to your library quickly when applicable. I wish it was easier to add games they don’t have yet but that’s not a terrible problem. I highly recommend this application.

Wow!

Words cannot explain just how fantastic and well-designed this app truly is! Are used to use another app in the past but it was nowhere near as organized and powerful as this one! Extremely useful to keep track of your personal collection or to check (close to accurate) pricing. Only thing I wish they would do is collaborate with console variations website. The database on the app is missing a lot of console variations. I haven’t had any issue with games other than occasionally finding a game that doesn’t have pricing info. Overall 10/10 for a free app. Keep up the great work!

Great App, One Pet Peeve

Whenever I get a new video game item, one thing I look forward to doing is plugging it into this app. It’s a real joy to browse endless lists of games, consoles, etc. They are very detailed and even include the different editions of games, such as “Nintendo Selects”. However, I have a slight issue with the app. Some games don’t feature pictures, which is a bit annoying. Other than that, I really like this application and would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep track of their possessions in a fun and intuitive way.

Great for keeping track of games

I have games on virtually every platform from the Atari 2600 forward, and I love being able to track my collection here. I enjoy the flexibility the app offers. One example is, I have PC games on Steam, GOG, and elsewhere, and I can tag my digital copies that way. It’s very easy to sort based on virtually any aspect of my collection. I also use it when shopping my wishlist, because it tracks my wishlist and provides a good reference price range for the items I’m shopping. Great app that I use all the time.

An incredible app

Before this I used Google docs to keep track of my game collection, which always felt tedious and unenjoyable. But with this app, now it’s actually pretty enjoyable. The barcode scanner is an incredible tool that never makes it feel like a drag to add new games, and even just searching up games is efficient. The ability to track game progression, what you have of a game’s packaging and the quality of them is also an amazing feature. My only real problem is that you can’t categorize games by console, but the tag system fixes that. Honestly this app is just perfect if you’re looking for an easy way to keep track of your collection

I wish I could give this amazing gaming collection tracker but it is missing one huge key feature and that is the ability to add more than one item of the same in your collection. In my case I have multiple collector controllers of the same for example; I have two wario GameCube controllers but only tracks that have one. Same going for the multiples of games and consoles I have. I am For the time being I’m using the notes feature but would like to correctly see the value of my collection.

Hopefully this feature is added to give this a 10 out of 5 stars.

Best I’ve Found!

Got tired of accidentally buying classic games I already had, so I tried several game collection apps. This one is the best by far! They constantly work on keeping it up to date! Also the feature where you can get an estimate of your collection’s value is not only fun but extremely nice to have a ballpark estimate for insurance reasons. I know it’s a hard pill to swallow to pay for an app when you’re not sure if it does exactly what you’re looking for but I have never regretted purchasing this one! Thank you GAMEYE team!

Works great

great app with a clean user interface. If you have a gaming library that you would like to document and keep track of, this certainly makes it easy. The option of adding a monitary values to what you paid for the games and their current value based on state (CIB/ Loose/ digital) is useful in more ways than one.

only thing missing here is the ability to sync your library backups to a cloud service (ie icloud, dropbox, etc) and some type of login that would allow you to have the app on multiple devices (iphone, ipad, mac) all in synced up between them. That is certainly something that could be added in future updates, but for now as a free app this is pretty good.

Good if your a current game collector

I was excited about this app cause it gives you an estimated $$ on your games., but, if you’re a retro game collector, lots of the bar codes won’t scan. I had several Xbox 360 games that it didn’t recognize, plus lots of Japanese games it didn’t know. Where as another game collector app scans almost everything, but doesn’t value your collection. Basically if you only catalogue next gen games., I’d give it one more star. I’d actually pay $ for this app, had it been more responsive to obscure titles. Great App, Very Useful

I have at least one console from every generation of consoles for the last 30+ years. I started a real push in collecting games a few years ago and have picked up hundreds of games since. This app is beyond useful in cataloging my library. Whether it’s a loose game, to a Complete In Box game, or anything in between, this app is awesome to use and helps you keep track of exactly what you have for each game. If I’m looking at a sale and can’t remember if I have an instruction booklet for a game, I can just reference the app. It’s really useful in quick price references for games, giving you a base to know if someone is overcharging for an item or not. I also really like that it gives breakdowns for the value of each console library in your collection and an overall total value for your collection as a whole.

Another option I enjoy is having the option to filter how you view your library. I will say I wish there were more options to view your collection, whether it is loose game, game + manual, CIB, etc. Also, I do wish there was some way to include pricing/price points for import games.

I absolutely recommend this app for anyone who has any sort of game collection. It is so user friendly with a number of great features.

Beat way to organize a large game collection

I tried a competitors app “game vault” and found it to be buggy and prone to crashing. The more titles I loaded in the worse the problems became. GameEye is a much better experience. More comprehensive and so much smoother and polished! I recommended the app to another game collector and She was equally impressed. Once you have all your game titles loaded into GameEye it becomes a game in its own right (so to speak). Great concept and execution! Bravo

The best I’ve found so far

The app is great for basically everything that I can think of... it has 99% of the gaming world cataloged and informed, the only nit pick that I have is that it’s really hard to tell how your collections value changes over time, and what games are gaining/losing value in your collection. Otherwise I highly recommend this app

Collector for 35+ years...

I collect for probably 25-30 different systems, including some weird ones, having been a collector for 35+ years now, and this app is probably the first that I’ve made a real effort to use and have confidence in. It’s well laid out, easy to use, and most importantly, the support/dev team genuinely listens when you have a suggestion/complaint/question/or notice something missing. Their customer service is outstanding, and they are CONSTANTLY working to make the app better and increase the library.

They might not have the wide-reaching rep that some other apps do, but that’s only because it’s still a hidden gem. So, go download it and start cataloging.

Trust me, from someone whose collection boarders on “hoarder-level”, you won’t be disappointed...

Excellent Game Catalogue App

I’ve been using this app to track my steadily growing video game collection for years. I can’t say enough good things about it. A visual representation of my collection is not only fun to see but also extremely useful. It has saved me many times from purchasing something I forgot I owned and the notes section is invaluable for helping me remember where I got an game and what I purchased it for. There are a few small gripes here and there but honestly I think some of them are intentional designs so I won’t bother listing them. I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs a comprehensive list of the games they own. No more guessing. Just take the time to catalog them once and you’ll be glad you did. 5 stars all day!

Excellent

This is simply the best video game collection app that I have tried (and I’ve tried quite a few). Simple, clean looking, and ability to save everything from games, systems, peripherals, and even amibo! I highly recommend to anyone with an extensive game collection that needs tracking of what they do/don’t have! Also has ability to create a section of items you are selling or have loaned out as well. Simply the best game collection app!

One of the best catalog apps on the market

This has to be one of the best if not the best cataloging apps on the market. I have had other apps and had multiple issues with them so I created my on spread sheet that I still use on top of this app. I have had very few issues with this app and my issues are small. The game eye does not work half of the time but I am hoping with updates that becomes much better but the barcode scanner has worked everytime. This make cataloging my games much easier. I recommend this app to everyone who is collecting.

Versatile and intuitive

I’ve migrated through four other game apps before Gameye. It’s pretty expansive in its library of consoles, handhelds and computers. If a game is missing it is pretty easy to use the online portal to add content. If a console or variant is missing it’s less clear how to add - small overall detraction. The app has gone through regular updates in my three years using it, improvements have refined it immensely. A great app for tracking your many libraries, wishlists and such. My collection has found a management/tracking home.

amazing collection manager with one thing I wish it had...

This has been the easiest, most actually fun way to manage my video game and amiibo collections.

The only thing I would like to see is pricing for non-ntsc games. I can add all of my Japanese games with no problem, but it doesn't give me any pricing information on them.

Otherwise, this thing is perfect.

Decent

This is a fairly decent tracking app. My biggest issues with it are:

The fact I can’t directly add titles from the game list to the wish list. Having to use the pop up list means I can’t see anything but the title and if I switch to a browser the app loses everything I tagged and I have to start over.

Also the formatting of the list could use some options. Too much wasted space left and right of the titles cutting them off. Options to hide columns in the list would be nice.

Hands Down the Best Option for Game Collectors

The BEST option for anybody looking to track their collection or their collections ~value. The app is loaded with features, is organized extremely well, works incredibly well, and offers me to create a backup or ‘restore point’ of my current data anytime I want (which I store in iCloud). I have a few small complaints, but for everything you get with this app being 100% free, I couldn’t possibly NOT give the app a 5-Star rating. I love it, love it, LOVE IT! Thank you to the developer for making such a generous contribution to the gaming community. You have exponentially increased my quality of life with this single app! :)

Really good, just needs a few things

This app is really useful for keeping track of all the games I play and collect. The only bad thing about this app as of 12/23, is that the website that it uses for game info is down so it has slot of missing games which is a bummer. It would also be cool to see other features like suggesting other games to look at. Besides that, the app is sooo good.

Great but I want one thing

The entire app is great. I only saw a shortage with the most minuscule and rare consoles, which will certainly be added and I loved knowing if I unknowingly had a rare game to cap off my collection. The only feature I’d like to have is a way to not just see how many more games I need to complete a collection, but WHAT games I need to complete the collection. Even after that the app is very effective in doing its job well and is a must have for any video game collector.

Love it

This app not only categorizes all your games but updates and provides current prices based on recent sales. When I get new games I use the handy scanner to catalogue and rate them before they hit my shelves so I don’t forget later. Also when I’m out and about game shopping and I see a game, this app tells me if I already have it and how much it goes for so I don’t overpay. I have a lot of games and it initially took a few days to catalogue all of them. It will keep up with games, systems, accessories too. Very impressed!

Great app. Very helpful and smooth

Heard about this app while surfing the net from Radical Reg. I downloaded it right away and couldn’t be happier. Sure it’s not perfect but with a little effort (typing in an occasional name or two) you can get what tasks done. I’m sure the developer is working on making it “perfect”. Through my experience from other comparable apps, this one wins hands down.

The wishlist is an awesome feature, and the fact that you can separate your personal collection from what you want to sell or trade is clutch.

Thanks for developing this app and I’m really hoping too much doesn’t change with it. 🤙🤙

This is the app to use

So many choices. The loose cart scanner is really bad. Very difficult for it to identify the correct game so I didn’t use it.

One thing that this app is missing is the ability to filter the games by region. For example I’d like to be able to filter out Japanese and PAL exclusive titles and only see NTSC titles. Other than that, it’s the best way to catalogue games on an iPhone.

Best Gaming Inventory App

I’ve been through several of these apps including one where I had spent a lot of time entering my data only for the app to be discontinued and I lost everything I had put in. GAMEYE is incredible!! Free, accurate with a HUGE database across multiple systems. I can even keep inventory of my Amiibos. How is this a free app, it’s so thorough?!

Only think I could ask is the ability to create a spread sheet for my Amiibo collection as well as systems, just like the option to do so for games

Will last longer than other, similar apps

So I’ve tried quite a few library apps to catalogue my game collection and many of them hit a point when the reference pool that they draw from runs dry (meaning the new games you try to scan don’t show up and you have to manually enter everything). This app connects to a user managed database which seems to be kept up very well. Aside from that the barcode scanner is great and the magic eye feature (not sure that’s what it’s called) that lets you scan cartridges from retro games works enough of the time to be a cool feature. Just make sure you double check your scanned carts, it’s not a perfect system yet.

Best game collection app!!

This app has everything I was looking for to keep track of my collection and keep up with my wishlist. I really like that you can track the average prices of games and the wide range of systems in the database. Plus you can manually add games if they're not already in there! I tried game vault and was incredibly frustrated that it relies on the game bomb database because it didn't have a lot of the more random items in my collection. Gameye is the best thing out there to keep track of your game collection! I highly reccomend!

Manual add

Please add an option to manually add games. For example: I'm trying to add Fantastic four rise of the silver surfer on Nintendo DS, every version of the game appears but this one... and I cannot manually add to my collection. Let the user add what we they want... if I want to add home brews, I should have that freedom... if I wanna add a can of baked beans, I should have that freedom. Other collection apps allow this, why not this one. Furthermore, If this is an option it's not easily found. Otherwise app is fine so far.

No need for WIFI REQ.

Heard about this from Radical Reggie. I am a developer myself and game enthusiast too. However the moment I saw "the application requires WIFI to download data" I knew right away this wouldn't last on my phone. The app has the potential to be the best in market. The issue is you should never require WIFI once the application has been downloaded. It is a better practice to have the initial download carry the most weight and have it download any database or such. Then use simple 3G/LTE functions for normal updates and other downloads.

I will keep this on my phone for maybe an update but please take off the WIFI requirement.

Also do not get discouraged the app looks great! Just trying to give feedback brotha!
