The game was made for the explicit purpose of throwing ads in your face. Wanna go to the main menu? You have to watch a 5 second ad first. The gameplay itself is very repetitive and boring, and you would have to play for many, many hours before you accumulated enough money to get enough card packs to hopefully get enough blueprints to buy anything decent. The other option is to watch 20 to 30 second ads for a free card pack, which ends up being more appealing than play the game over and over again. When the ads are more appealing than the game, the game's not worth playing.

Hi I love this game but after you defeat a boss you cannot deal damage control you take damage in the final blow on the shield where you're not supposed to take damage you do and a lot more than you're supposed to.

And the thing I love about the game that u are able to customize and build ur own hovercraft, also me and my friends play 2P with all our hovercrafts, my only complaint is the ads u go too customize or upgrade ur vehicle then u go back to the main screen and an another ad pops up, still 10/10 game

I personally like the game I had it on my fire tv but I moved away and it had to be returned so I never was able to play it again for a long time. When I found that it was free on mobile I was really excited to git back.since it was free I expected to see some ads.but when I was starting to git somewhere in the game. Ads just attacked me nonstop almost every move I made had an ad after it about 75% of the time. Now I know that it's a free game and you need to make profit from it in someway ads are my least favorite because lots of games go a little over kill with them.besides all that bad mouthing about ads I love this game and I never would rate it a 1 star unless...you know.. the game just was a blank screen XD but for all that talk I rate this a 4 star it's not perfect and nothing is perfect but I highly recommend this game.

Epic but needs improvements
This is a really fun game but there are a few things that can improve... first of all when your flying your hovercraft you should be able to heal your hovercraft. by using boosts or using coins and another thing is instead of having items like machine guns and tracking machine guns as a separate items you should be able to upgrade the regular machine gun to the tracking machine gun other than that I r8 8/8

Here's all you need to know about this game: pop-up ads every single time you return to the main menu. Finish a run? Ad. View your vehicle? Ad. Visit the in-game shop? You get the picture. Add to this that some of the ads are those horrid "interactive" ones that hard-crash the program every time they try to load, and you get a program that's not even worth trying to get it to play. I could go on about the ludicrous freemium pricing and mediocre gameplay, but I really do think that this game's ridiculous ad situation should be enough to let you know to stay far, far away from it.

A great update to an already fun game
I enjoy the developers' frequent updates to the game. New hovercraft types? Check. New kinds of upgrades? Also there. New block types! Why even ask. If you are tired of playing, you can switch to their construction mode. And of course, you are free to get coin updates without having to spend any $$$ by liking on Social Media, using your existing coins to purchase upgrade packs (minus the coin packs, themselves which are a waste of money; it's amply possible to earn the coins on one's own.)

This update is pretty good
I really enjoy the new update. I like how you can earn epic cards by getting the special coins now, I thought that this was a great idea though it wasn't executed perfectly. I really don't like the fact that every time you buy an epic card from the card store, the price of the epic cards increase. It's pointless despite the fact that there is no other way of getting these coins. I think it would be better if the price of the epic card packs stayed the same like all the other card packs then it would be so much more fun and give us a better reason to play this game even more. Great job on the game overall. The controls and gameplay is spectacular and I would recommend this game to anyone.

Great, but could use a few changes
Overall, I love this game. It played really nicely, has practically infinite customization potential, and the damage system is really pleasing. One change I would make would be an increase in the block limit when building custom crafts, and maybe a grid to help see individual blocks more clearly. I also wish that there was a sense of progression, or especially more variation in the actual gameplay. The desert landscape can get a bit mundane after awhile. Overall a really fun game though.

CONFUSED
I have always gotten around 2500 points each turn, and now suddenly I started getting 250 points per turn, a pretty large turnaround. I enjoy the game, but of course this point differential is strikingly in the company's advantage when I spent $$$ to have double points forever. I guess the question is, double of what?
UPDATE: this is a tale of dwindling resources sometimes referred to as theft. I had 120 points saved toward an better vehicle and virtually as I watched the app reduced this amount by half after saving for weeks. Don't think I'll be playing this much anymore.

Patience is a Virtue
This game is the successor to the original Hovercraft. The crafts are much easier to control, and the game is overall balanced. My only complaint is the block placement limitation. Some people complain that hovercraft are hard to build. It just takes patience. I built a perfect blue angel, but it took lots of trial and error. Don't rage quit and give up. Engineering takes time.

Pretty good except one big major flaw
I think if you buy a variation of a ship you should be able to use the variation instead of having to pay for the ship because a long time ago the game was extremely balanced but now it's just gone downhill so either turn it back to the original old version or let people use variations without making people spend hours or days of gameplay trying to buy it, and if not my rating is going to stay the same

Personally I love this game it is so much fun and I have an idea for a few new features in a hopefully near update. They are: 1: players that are connected to wifi connection can race/battle with AND against friends!! 2: That there can be in the search other people's creations and you can try them out yourself. You could also comment on their build (how they can make it better and NO bullying other people you don't even actually know!) 3: So you could also take pictures from your photo library (ones that are ONLY one main item in it) and then you could enter it into this new section called the photo-infuser. It would then make the photo into a hovercraft!!! Anywayysss, overall AMAZING game and keep up the good work!!! 😎😎😎

This game has good potential but was executed poorly. For starters, the currency makes zero sense and if the icons are very unclear. The graphics are bad and the game as a whole just feels unpolished. My main complaint is the amount of ads. I'm fine with the occasional pop up or bar at the bottom of the screen but this game takes advertising to a whole new level. Every time a click a button an ad pops up that takes a few seconds to load and even longer to disappear. Clicking on the ad takes you to the App Store, which takes even longer to load and close out of. It is really frustrating when you can tell that the developers are more focused on making as much money as possible instead of letting the users enjoy the game. It is unclear how to progress in the game or what the value of the cards even are. This game could be so much better, it's disappointing seeing the decent physics and concept go to waste.

Great, but could use improvements
Overall, I love it, but a few things need to be added/changed, such as that if you select a powerup, you can't deselect it, forcing you to use either it or another if you selected it on accident. Also, the enemy weapons need a change so I can tell what is coming at me. Cause some of their "bombs" will strongly heatseek after me, making it impossible to dodge. Also, the large truck enemy either needs a weapon change or nerf, it has one shot me multiple times, even having all 400 blocks between its shot and my core completely destroys my ship. Some enemies are also difficult to see, making it nearly impossible to tell what is neutral and what is hostile until there is suddenly a laser down your throat.

Exciting, entertaining, and very customizable
This is a fantastic game to download if you are looking for a game with fast-paced action, strategy, and creativity. The thing that sets this game apart is its ability to let the player fully customize their own hovercraft. A little like minecraft, hovercrafts can be built block by block in any form the player chooses, down to the strategic location of the power core, weapon blocks, and thrusters. Many combinations of weapons can be strategically equipped to the greatest effect during gameplay. With upgrade packs, the durability, handling, weapon damage, and weapon range of the hovercraft can be upgraded to best compliment the particular loadout and form of your customized hovercraft.
In this way, it can be a really enjoyable and involved game, but primarily in the long term. It does take patience to earn weapons, upgrade packs, and blueprints from card packs. This adds a rather engaging element of luck, but getting powerful weapons takes a while to get unless you pay real money.
However, this game certainly does not require paying money to enjoy it, and its nearly absolute customizability and fun gameplay makes the time and effort it requires worth it.

I have way too much fun with this
I usually hate endless games as a knee-jerk reaction, but Hovercraft's building system coupled with the gameplay is incredibly addictive. I've built so many ships and flown all of them. The building interface is easy to use and really fun. You have to choose where to put your weapons and power core, and makes you strategize. The endgame gets a little repetitive, however. Once you get a fully upgraded ship, you're basically set and there's no real challenge anymore. Nevertheless, still an incredibly fun game; definitely worth a try.

A Serious Nostalgia Trip
Admittedly, when I downloaded this game, my expectations were fairly low, as just another rail shooter. When I got into it though, my eyes widened and a childish grin came over my face.
This game takes me back to my childhood, where I would create a bunch of combat vehicles out of LEGO blocks and make them fight each other. The whole concept of this game is pretty much exactly like that, building your hovercraft out of many small blocks and sending it out to cause havoc among other blocky vehicles.
This game is simple and straightforward, with a fantastic Art Deco style, and it deserves five stars for nostalgia alone, were it not for the extremely repetitive gameplay. You're doing one thing and one thing only: destroy vehicles on a highway. That's like the Burnout franchise consisting only of Road Rage events: fun, but it gets old.
If this game had multiple game modes, such as racing and survival, then it would receive a perfect 5/5 from me. But for now, it must make do with only 4 stars.

Did Not Expect This!
This game is one of the most addictive, fun games I have ever played. My sister got it on her tablet, and I thought it was lame when I heard of it. When I watched her play, it was amazing... So I got it! The graphics are amazing, the animation is nice and smooth, and the sounds are really awesome. I have a short attention span too! What kept me going was that you can design your very own hovercraft! This game is FLAWLESS!

Been playing this game for roughly 4 months thanks to one of my friends playing it for a while. Awsome game. Graphics good. Really like how the "enemys" get harder has the game progresses. One note to add make power up available every so often and when you unlock a weapon level everything can get that level. Otherwise great game

Great game, could use more balanced weapons
Hovercraft Takedown is an awesome game with a very polished aesthetic and controls, but the weapons could use a bit more balancing, once you have the tracing rockets, there is no reason to use anything else, every weapon(except machine gun) should have roughly equal power, that way each player could customize their hovercraft to their own play style, instead of just slapping the most powerful guns on.

Great game
I love this game but I need to disagree with the people that think it should have better graphics and smaller blocks because the big blocks and square graphics are what give the game this simplicity. I really like the gameplay and the easy controls are great. Especially when you have two targeted weapons. It is so fun blowing up cars on the highway and trying to doge them. This game is great and I recommend it to anyone. I play this game anywhere I have a 6s and an iPad Pro and the game works great for both.

Right Up There
Fun is the word here! Great fun blowing up other Hovercraft on the long Hiway of destruction, trying to avoid getting hit by flying pieces! The sounds are top-notch, and the animation is smooth, controls simple, just steer with your thumbs. This game is equaly good on iPhone or iPad, & I play it on both (6s & mini 2). Take Down is in the running for my 'Game of the Year'!

Great Game
This is one of my favorite games on the App Store. I love how interactive it is, allowing you to make custom vehicles if you choose to.
If I could make a request: some more weapons would be cool to experiment with, maybe a which shoots in other lanes, so that you could get total coverage of the road. Another idea would be custom variants for your own vehicles. You can have an option to change the color of existing blocks, but you cannot add new ones. It would add a new layer of creativity to the game, and I would most definitely use it for all my custom hovercrafts. Thanks you for your time, and keep up the good work!

Great, Addictive, Fun
This is a great game, very easy to end up spending a lot of time playing it without noticing. The design is great, The only problem, is that there are a few glitches. For one, by the time you get to 60,000 points roads can become impassable, you can get debris in one lane, with those red bombs in the next two. The other thing is, if you're careful you can fly, by aiming the car at those closed mountain passages and hitting The mountain wall at just the right angle to turn the boosters toward the wall you can fly towards the wall, and you may hit the wall a couple times, but you can fly.

I love this game, I really do, and it's for this reason that I want more content to be added. I've played this game to death, I've bought most everything and it's getting a bit stale, and the last thing I want is to delete it. So I thought maybe you could add more stuff like maybe an off-road mode, where you dodge difficult terrain, or maybe a version in a city.

This game has tons of potential but you people haven't really used much of it. You could add new kinds of weapons. Other classifications of cars. In hc customization part building should be an option to people who like to build their own HCs. Class 2 cars have a 800 block limit and 6-10 weapons with 7-12 boosters. Class 3 cars
x1 1/2. And so on.
Weapons such as vacuums and… parts could be made so you can copy paste on your HC.

Great fun but ads...
Hey guys. Love this game. Reminds me of Zombie Highway, but better! You use a hovercraft that can be customized. The weapons are fun and dodging destroyed vehicles and mines while collecting coins is addicting.
Here is the only rub. Ads. So far I have purchased the starter pack and the coin doubler. Both worth it. But I am faced with ads still. I would still pay again to get rid of ads. I'm now a paying customer. How much more do you want from me?
All in all. I love this game. Just wish that I could get out of the ads since I am the customer they want... One that buys stuff.

Addicting
The game is extremely addicting but not in a bad way. I would rather be addicted to this than drink bleach. This game helps distract me from the clinical depression that plagues my life 24/7. I wake up in the morning, tie a noose begin to put it over my neck then remember that I have free packs to open, when I get those dank purples I look at the noose and say"not today old friend, not today". All in all I would give it a 9/10 just because of the fact I'm still alive to write this review.

The way you guys have the advertisements set up where there is a lag is genius and sooooooo annoying. The game is fun to play, but just because every dam time I load the game and want to start playing right away but I accidentally click on the lagged advertisement then have to wait for it load then close it. No thank you deleting this crap game! Way to ruin the fun guys seriously I applaud you. Your advertisements couldn't have been that small pop up at least that would've been less annoying. Tricking people into clicking things when all they want is to play the game! If I could give less then one start I would just because I've never seen anyone do this and trick their advertisements on people!!!!!

I really enjoy this game, it's so much fun and one of the only games that doesn't get me frustrated. I have some requests
First add more card packs each containing a different specific item, that could be cool. I feel it's really hard to get blueprints and different weapons and weapon "skins/colors"
A second type of currency to but card packs could be obtained through playing the game, that could be ok.
Make the currency pack that costs 250 coins have an even higher chance or guarantee at least one rare or epic item.
Add an option to not use any power ups, some of my power ups drain because there is no option to deselect it.
Add more vehicles and vehicle skins definitely.
Add extra paths to explore (that could be cool.
Maybe multiplayer and some type of races.
A brake button could be useful.
Definitely add objectives that would be great
Other than that this is a great game!

The physics are amazing. So many gun combinations possible and so many crafts you can make with the custom craft builder. I love the guns and the fact that you have to earn and play legit to earn better guns with card packs. It's so much fun grinder and playing just as a normal street slide scroll shooter itself it's just so amazing. My only wish it that he adds more Legendary Weapon Cards other than that the most fun app of all time easily :) I highly recommend this 😃

Impressive concept, underwhelming gameplay, heavily focused on iap
The premise is sound: build your own craft, and fight, gaining resources to upgrade your craft.
Unfortunately, there's virtually no substance to this game, as it quickly grows repetitive.
This game is literally:
Drive in a straight line as your guns fire automatically, pick up coins, die (impressively, admittedly, breaking up as you take damage), watch a video for 50 more coins, buy a card pack that usually only has "commons", rinse, and repeat.
Over and over and over.
Trying to get "blueprints" so you can upgrade your weapon level (to allow adding additional weapons to your craft).
The problem is - there's no point. Getting more guns so you can just live longer isn't a compelling reason to play a game - there's no real challenge, it's just "keep doing what you are doing and you'll be able to keep doing what you are doing for longer"

Worthless
Tap games are worthless, waste of time, and too simple to be complex. They are made my money hungry developers that want a quick buck with iap's. I guess now we will see the App Store fill with these worthless, useless apps just like it did with town building, gem games, turn based games, and endless runner games. The developers care nothing about the people! iPhone games use to be fun and there was some sort of wow factor but now they are horrible. Epic and Awesome
Epic. Awesome. This is what I need in my life, just awesome games like this. Just put some crap together to make a hovercraft, slap on some weapons, shoot the crap out of cars, watch as everything explodes, and holy crap the game is awesome. But I feel like it can be more awesome by fixing or adding a few things:
1. Add more weapons. Just pile them on. The more weapons, the more awesomeness.
2. Fix the card packs. Most of the time when I open the card packs, I get disappointed. 9/10 times I get a bunch of boosts and upgrades, and I spend a good chunk of my time grinding for coins to buy packs. I don't need any of that, all I want is WEAPONS. SUPPLY MY NEEDS.
3. Weapon levels? Like why? I don't want a limit to how many weapons I can put on my hovercraft. I just want to pimp it out with as many weapons as I want. Or at least make the limit higher.
4. Add more maps. This barren desert is getting boring.
5. Multiplayer? Because multiplayer is always fun. And if there is going to be multiplayer, don't make it lag like a potato.
6. Another thought, maybe add fiery explosion effects when cars are being destroyed? That would boost the action by quite a lot.
Pretty awesome game overall. Please make it more awesome. I give solid 7/7.

Hooked
I honestly downloaded this game just to see what it was about and it looked pretty cheesy at first glance but about five minutes into it I was hooked. The whole idea of the game is really unique and is a good test of the imagination. Great game all around. I'm constantly trying to design cool hovercrafts trying to one up my friends and trying to get the best weapons possible to create a power house hover craft. The one thing I wish you guys would change is the amount of blocks we get to spend on each craft. If I had just two times more blocks I would be really happy. Great job to the developers you guys are awesome.

AWESOME
I love this game but I have a couple of requests. One I would like to be a able to control where and who I shoot. Also, why was this a new game and not just an update? And three it would be cool if there were more maps. And it would be awesome in the hovercraft could have moving parts like if you built a person it could look like it's running or something. Awesome game. Thanks!

This is an amazing game! Okkay? But there's little things that really grind my gears number one... You get explanation marks next to car upgrades etc and you can't get rid of them without buying them.... Since I didn't buy any upgrades on old crafts I get an explanation mark around everything! This is super annoying and I really hope you'll implement settings to get rid of these notifications, Number two! When I play this game I select a power up.. I have 38 of them..... So I have to play with a power up very time I play? Since I can't cancel any out this is very annoying because I sometimes like to play just for fun and not to get a high score or anything and I don't want to use a power up while I see my power core self destruct and I slowly crumble away until I'm a bunch of pixel flying across the map, and I really don't want this to happen to this game, it has a lot of potential! And I don't want you amazing designers, programmers etc to lose that potential.

Best game ever
First if this gets updated regularly this has potential to be the game that everyone will back on as the game on the App Store. Plus the make your hovercraft builder has endless possibility I'd recommend this game to anyone it is awesome the controls are easy to learn and the gameplay is fantastic. So if your reading this go download this game now!

Perfection
I started playing hovercraft a long time ago on my Kindle Fire. It was really interesting and I loved it! When this came out, I noticed it and I got it right away. I started playing it and I instantly liked it. My favorite part about this game is that it added shooting the cars in front of you instead of dodging them, which really adds more action and it helps you last longer. In conclusion, get this game.

Amazing Destruction
When I was playing hovercraft, I always wanted to make my designs annihilate the other cars. With this I can. The coolest design is the jet and if you get missiles on the sides and machine guns it totally looks boss and just annihilates the road. One thing I would like to see better is the coin things. They move and it makes it hard to collect them. Other than that great game.

Fun game with some issues
First of all, this game is really fun. I like it a lot more than the earlier game that they made that was the first version. The only problem is that when I built this awesome vehicle, it turns out it was backwards! There is a faint arrow on the bottom that the put to show you which way to build but it is really hard to see. Also, there is no way to reverse it, so now I'm stuck with a jet that flys backwards which I spent an hour building.😒

I Really Enjoy this Game! (The Building though)
I really like playing this game, but my major complaint is the building process! I can be INFURIATING at some points when trying to place blocks. And figuring out COM (Center of Mass) is really difficult! Please add an option to do that! And also, maybe make a Multiplayer option! We can Co-op, or challenge to see who can get the highest score in one game! (^-^)b Thanks for being awesome developers!

Great,but lag in the editor
This is just as good, if not better,than the first Hovercraft. I love the extensive customization you can do to a vehicle, and the weapons are really cool.
The reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lag I'm getting in the craft editor. There is also a lighting glitch of sorts on the hovercraft if you have the editor camera pointing directly up or down.

some ideas for improvement
1) Be able to share your custom builds online and creating a voting system to sort out the hottest/best/popular builds. This creates more incentive for players to play this game because now they are competing to build the nicest hovercraft
2) When building, I would like to have an option that lets me see where I put the thrusters, weapons and core so I don't have do much digging around to find it.
3) Introduce a leveling system where you gain exp.
4) A multiplayer mode where you can make full 360 maneuvers in a big square arena so you can battle your opponents.

Really good game
I really enjoy playing this game but there are some minor Fixes that I think could really enhance the game. The store shouldn't have the red exclamation point all the time. Needs to go away after I've looked at the store. Also after you've selected a power up, you can't Unclick it. You have to use all of them and I think that's a bad feature. Otherwise everything is awesome.

How to explain?
The original hovercraft was an awesome game, with all the hilarity of sending a semi FLYING with a derpy dragon I created BLOCK BY BLOCK, and driving it off the edge just to watch it desenegrate into tiny, itty bitty pieces. But this takes it by a long shot for the fact that I can VAPORIZE A SEMI WITH MY CUSTOM BUILT, HOMING LASER FIRING, ROCKET SHOOTIN', MACHINE GUN BLASTIN', SNIPER PIRATE SHIP! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+⭐️⭐️ for the lols of a futuristic semi that hovers over a barren wasteland being blasted to bits and vaporized by a flying pirate ship with a LAZER. Probably best iPhone game of the year.
I downloaded this game because I saw a friend playing it and it looked incredibly fun. Only played it for a bit but essentially, HC Takedown is composed of two games. The first part is the fun of building your own custom hovercraft from scratch. It's an aspect of the game that I have personally dedicated time to assure my hovercraft is more pimp than all my friends. Then comes the second part where you actually get to fly what you built and destroy the road with it. It's the perfect game for all those people that have fantasized about destroying cars when you're in traffic lol. Overall this game pushes me to want to get better guns and upgrades so I can make my friends look bad heh. The first version was good, this one is way better. Not surprised it's top 20 already. Although I wish magnet was permanently on, I'd say overall they did a fantastic job in creating such a detailed and refined iPhone game.
