Description
The Rocketbook app is designed to work with Rocketbook notebooks including the Wave, Everlast, and Rocketpad. Rocketbook allows you to write in a traditional paper and pen notebook, capture your notes, and send them to the cloud using your smartphone.
Capture your thoughts naturally using pen and paper in your Rocketbook notebook. Then, use the app to capture your notes and instantly organize them inside the services you use. Simply mark special icons on each notebook page to send your notes to your email inbox or specific locations inside Google Docs, Dropbox, iCloud, Evernote, Box, OneNote, and Slack. The Rocketbook app uses your smartphone camera to "see" your notebook pages and instantly blasts them in to the cloud.

Great app! Scan needs a little work!
Love that you can associate your notes to a clod service via the icons. This makes it quick and seamless. Although the scans work, the quality is not yet there. Evernote and Scanbot still do a much better job scanning and with the black border on the Everlast notebook, it makes the scanning easier for those apps. I know this is new and look forward to improvements!

An amazing product
Backed their kickstarter and they delivered 100% of what they promised.
Maybe the horizontal view would be a nice addition since a commenter mentioned it. But as far as coming out with a product and an app that just came out, this is how it's done. So many cool features, and so many options.
I find myself not wanting to write on it because it's so awesome. Even the pens they require come with an eraser on the top. So no need for a moist cloth unless there's a lot that is filled. Super happy and can't see many updates that will make this so much better. Thanks again guys, very happy here.

One way scan
Update is that scanning dies work but orientation is important. It will only scan one direction. Not the end of the world, it could just be better on error handling.

The Everlast notebook is awesome. The app is simple and fast. Needs to look more modern. But it does what it says and is just fun to use!

Cool app and works but have to be wary of shadows
App works well and is very useful for my school notes. However, it does have one minor drawback. You have to take pictures from certain angles. If the shadow of your arm/hands is visible on the notebook, it will affect how the picture comes out.

Well there's an hour absolutely wasted!
Set up the app, grabbed my special pen, and was excited to test this app. Well, no matter what lighting I use, whether the flash is on or not, no matter what I put on the page, the damned thing will not scan. Feels like a monumental waste of time and money.
It seems like a clever idea but in the end I'm left with no more than I would have just using my camera.

Rocket Notebook app
I have been using the Pilot Frixion for several years. I was very happy to try the rocket notebook and this app. The app uses your camera to take pictures of your notes and then sends them to your directed location. I had my notes sent to my Google Drive. I was then able to print the notes. This app works great. I was not compensated in anyway for this review.

Great idea, Bad tech
The rocket book and app is a great idea. But the best of ideas are only as strong as their execution. In this case, the poor quality of the scanning technology is the limiting reagent. I just spent over an hour attempting to scan the pages of my rocket book, but the scanner simply would not recognize most of the pages. I tried everything, from different backgrounds to different lighting, but nothing seems to make a difference. This was an extremely frustrating experience. My only option now is to use a different scanning program to save the content of my rocket book, which completely defeats the purpose of the interface.

Poor performance, needs high contrast
The software requires a very high degree of contrast between the page and your desktop, without which it will not scan. My office desk is a standard corporate beige affair, and the app simply never ever ever scans a page. I have to get up and throw the notebook onto my carpet or onto a chair where there is enough contrast for the app to do it's job. This is not a problem I experience in other iPhone scanning apps.

App is not good
The app is not nearly as good as all of the other document scanning apps. Anything near the sides of the paper get cut off. I've literally tried to get one paper scanned for five minutes and it would work so I gave up. The syncing with apps with the symbols on the end works well. The scanning is really bad. If they fix this the app would be amazing. Until then it's hardly usable. Also when it has scanned the notes couldn't even be read. I'll be using any other scanner app that knows how to use its software untill this app steps up its game a lot.

Great app and product!
I've only just used this today and I'm already a big fan! The notes are hand written and the uploaded image is very crisp and clear, I was afraid that the app was going to produce choppy images of the notes which would ruin this whole experience but boy was I wrong. I would have given it 5 stars but the erasing can leave some residual ink behind but that won't matter when I wipe it in the heat! So I'll have to update this review when the time comes. Great job Rocketbook!

OneNote still broken
I used to love my notebook and this app. I've every preordered the everlast. But I haven't been able to sync my notes to my OneNote notebook in ages. Sigh.
Update: they say they are testing the fix now. Fingers crossed.

Fixed: Evernote causes app to Crash
Update: 5 stars. Evernote integration fixed next business day after submitting my review. Very responsive company.
Old: Unable to select an Evernote icon destination. When selecting any Evernote notebook the app immediately crashes.
Dropbox works fine.

Somehow after the recent update, when the app captures the page it still have some random dots all around ! the hand shadow makes a big deal now ! Loved the previous version hated the new one !

Great app, but fix iCloud drive.
Love the app, great design and decent usability. The one thing that's missing currently is the ability to add an iCloud drive account, And therefore save files to it. Currently the app allows you to save to the default iCloud drive account which is just called Rocketbook, which does nothing. Please fix, only thing holding back from 5 stars.

Not too thrilled so far
I paused the tutorial video and attempted to start it again. It wouldn't play for me even after reinstalling the app. I'll rate again if I can get it fixed.

Lost Dot After Scan
I like to write on paper better than any of apps on iPad. So, I use this app to scan the paper, but the image may lost after scan. For example, the dot which is important for my math note. I don't need to shape the image, it should give me the option.
Another things is there is no select function for delete image in the app which is annoying.
And sometime it cannot recognize the icon on paper.

Great concept but could not get Rocketbook to sync with OneNote application in Office 365 even with the assistance of Rocketbooks techs. If you are using other applications to save the notes it may work perfectly but unfortunately I purchased it to work with OneNote.

Great for transferring notes and charts to digital. Personally I would still like to see a handwriting to text option.

I love it, but...
Please fix your scanning to make it stop getting rid of my periods. It wouldn't be a big deal in most cases, but I'm an engineering student and I need every little mark I put on the paper. The same thing happens to dotted 'i's and 'j's.

Great concept but poor execution.
Notebook is awesome. Love the idea, style and use. App not so much. No force touch when any other scanning app has this built in. They claim enhanced scanning features. Not so. Did a side by side comparison of Evernote scanner and rocket book. Evernote kills it. What good are my notes if they are not high quality. Overall pretty disappointed in the rocket part of the book. The wave part is pretty cool but honestly a disappointment.

Great app but...
Great app! Rocketbook is amazing, and I use it all the time!
The only downside with this app is if your company controls your Dropbox password with a signal sign-in this app does not allow you to login to Dropbox to sync your notes (works with Google Drive though). Definitely a bummer.

Cool app. All your notes whenever you need them!
This app is awesome. I still use the old handwritten notes for all my to do lists, meetings notes etc. but I don't always have my notebook when I need it for reference. This app solves that problem. And microwave the notebook to erase and use again - so cool!!

Great except
I love the notebook and the app is very easy to use. However, I can't get it to send to my email, only cloud services like Dropbox or Google Drive. Unfortunately, any "app support" or website takes you to the Indiegogo page. Please set up a support page!!!

I love it, but...
It would be awesome if...
-Box was supported. Many enterprise level businesses prefer Box because of its security model. It also has a brilliantly simple API, so it should be easy to integrate with.
-Simultaneous delivery to multiple destinations was possible. Sometimes notes on the same page may need to go to multiple places and it would save time if we could just check multiple icons.

Awesome and convenient... When it works.
This app has a lot of customizability when I need to sync my Rocketbook notebook. However, even in good lighting, I'm having an extremely difficult time getting the app to recognize and scan any of my pages.

Just got my rocket book.
Started to play with it. So far it works as promised. Have not used the microwave erase function yet.
I did have to play with it to get clear scans. I found that you have to hold he camera VERY steady and the scans are good.

Love the Book, Hate the App
The book itself is wonderful, the pages are thick and good quality. But the app generates unreadable PDFs, which defeats the whole purpose of the notebook.

Needs major improvement
I was excited to finally get the app and use it with PDF printed sheets made into notebook. However, I was not impressed with it’s functionality. Two major things:
[1] EVERY single page scanned selects ALL icons — it does not recognize single icon that’s filled in.
[2] It has no connectivity to iCloud — the only cloud I use for my files.

Nope
Won't connect to Evermore, saying "must first connect" but email message confirms connection was made and access was authorized. Worse, there seems to be no customer support at all. I have no use for what turns out to be an overpriced ordinary notebook.
