One of my favorites

I use this every day. It allows me to select which Google account I want to add my notes to and I can share between the two accounts or with other people. I have had not a single issue with syncing or losing notes. It often use it to save book highlights from my iPad Kindle. I also make up shopping lists, use it as a quickie journal, gather recipes I find online, etc. I use it for everything. It seriously is one of my favorite apps.

Continually Not Working

This app was recommended to me by one of my clients, as I am a concierge and this app was perfect for sharing grocery lists. But it is continually not updating, the error message of cannot connect right now is always happening, the lists are not syncing with the associated emails, adding items but never appearing in the lists after updating the lists, etc. This is so disappointing, because at first it was working amazing. Now it's just pure frustration for myself and clients!

Key feature missing

Doesn't hold reminders created in Inbox or through Google Assistant.

You can make a voice note, but you can't use the Google Assistant to make a reminder that will show up in this app. It makes this app feel very sequestered. I guess I was hoping this app could serve as a one stop shop for all the reminders I make across the different google apps but they all feel a bit siloed, though they're supposed to be "connected."

It won't synchronize

I used to love it. I used to keep a shopping list with this app. I haven't been able to use it, because it won't synchronize between what my husband adds and what I add. Very disappointed with this now.

What Happened???

This app used to work great then suddenly I started getting error messages on all my devices "sorry can't connect now, try again later." I can only use it on my phone otherwise if I open it on my laptop or chrome browser note info is deleted. I even contacted the developer but didn't even get a response!!! What's up with these people who develop apps but can support it? I'm now looking for another solution!

Synching is broke

My husband and I used to use this app to have shared grocery lists and hardware store lists. Now every time one of us opens a list the behavior is completely random, sometimes it deletes all the new items. Sometimes it duplicates them, sometimes it ressurects and old version of the list. Basically it's unusable now

Easy and concise

I'm liking google keep. Would be nice to have a couple formatting options like character weight and some basic character stylings. Maybe an option to group certain things together like lists and notes. Evernote is better in some ways but not all.

Synch doesn't work

Sometimes my devices (3) are in synch. Sometimes they're not. Its hit and miss. The synch between devices is just not reliable, so this is useless to me. I thought it was great yesterday. Today, nothing synchs.

Simple to use and keep organized.

This app is simple to use and great to use for reminders. The organizing features make organizing notes quick and easy. Also this app like app Google stuff has unlimited storage. Great resource for those who don't want to bother with apples iCloud limitations of notes storage.

Finally we can add drawing making this superior to Apple notes even more!

Useful service, glitchy app

I've used Google Keep for years, and it's remained one of my favourite Google services to date. I hoped it would function as cleanly on iOS as it did on Android.

Instead there is a major functionality bug. When using Keep in another app that has a scrolling feed (such as Twitter or Tumblr), specifically using its pop-up view to save a link to Keep, it freezes the scrolling feed of the other app, making it impossible to interact with.

The only way to "unfreeze" it that I've found is to hit another button on the nav bar of the app. So in Twitter, if your home feed freezes, hit the icon for messages or search or whatever to "unfreeze" the app, making it function as normal. (Try it for yourself - "share" a Tweet link via Keep, save it, and watch what happens to the Twitter app).

But if you're in an app (or a section of the app) with no access to the nav bar, your app will freeze totally and you will have to force close and restart it. This is obnoxious and frustrating if you're just trying to use an app in peace.

Constantly crashing and losing list updates

LOVE the concept behind this BUT for a year now (and I do all of the regular updates), this app keeps crashing on me, as well as pulling up outdated lists instead of current lists. None of my other apps crash. I don't know why Keep is constantly crashing and losing things I save. It drives me crazy. I'm about to look for an alternative list making app because this is too much!

I got this app the day of the release, so I understand if it's not the best it can be yet. But I'd suggest a locking feature, where you can lock a note with your fingerprint so no one else can see it. Also, different fonts would be nice. 👌

Great idea in concept

App is inconsistent. Lists will end up with random empty lines and partial line entries that change at random! And shared lists seem to update 60% of the time. That is the main reason we got the app. Making sure the errors weren't one-off, we tested the app for a full day. Lack of reliability makes it a bit useless for lists of any importance. Looking for another solution. Edit: went to my inbox and found that I get an email for every shared item. I have yet to find a way to shut it off. I also notice it is punishing me for not using a gmail account. "Unauthenticated email from yahoo.com is not accepted." So into the trash it goes.

So buggy

It has gotten to the point I can't even use it anymore. I'm going to switch back to the app I used before. I got this because it worked with my Google Home, but now that doesn't even work. Collaboration is buggy, the app freezes and often fails to sync past changes. Incredibly frustrating.

Formatting Options Please!

I absolutely love this app and use it religiously on a daily basis. The only feature that would make this perfect for me is the ability to format text in the notes without leaving the app, interface. Just a simple Bold, underline etc would be perfect. Keep up the good work.

Best Note app, period

Tried em all, including Evernote (overkill for me), OneNote (just takes over Windows), plus a lot of smaller apps. Keep is simple, elegant, and pretty. And unlike the native iPhone Notes app, it downloads to backup as Word Docs.

Good but a lot of room for improvement

First off, I like Google keep. It synced very fast.

There are at least 3 areas for improvment for checklists.

One, right now you can only set one due date for the whole list. It would be nice to be able to set due dates for each item in the checklist.

Two, currently, it only allows one level of items. It would be nice to have multilevel items.

Three, Google keep and Google calendar integration. It is desired to have Google keep checklist items with a due date to appear in Google calendar.

For now, I am using Microsoft outlook and Wunderlist to achieve the above. Since Google is ignoring Google tasks, I suggest Google to add more features to Keep so that Keep can replace Tasks.

No Import Function

Google Keep lacks any general import function. I'd like to see an import function where it just finds your other "notes" apps an asks you if you want to import everything from them.

I've used Evernote for a long time, I would really like to replace it with Google Keep, but I have hundreds of notes in Evernote. I clip recipes from the web, clip interesting articles, keep all kinds of lists, To-Do lists, grocery lists, wish lists, notes about things I need to remember. Since Google Keep doesn't have an import function I can't switch.

Call me when you add that feature.

Great for quick short-term notes

This is perfect for the kinds of quick notes I used to make on a small notepad until I had a chance to act on them. The interface is great for reading through a bunch of short notes and reordering them, and has some other nice functionality for coloring, tagging, pinning, checklists , searching, and setting reminders, while keeping things quick and simple.

Stopped working! Weird error message

The app stopped working for me & said "Google keep needs to be updated" inside the app when I tried editing any of the notes. I cannot add notes or edit any notes - the bar at the bottom for editing notes has disappeared and when I tap on the note that error message pops up "Google keep needs to be updated." I checked the app settings and I have the most up to date version. The browser version oof my Google keep works but the new notes I add through that are not shown on the app. I deleted the app and downloaded it again and had the same error pop up. I turned my phone off and on again and had the same error pop up. Very disappointed. Never had any issues with this app until this. I loved this app and used it almost everyday. I had to delete it off my phone since I can't use it anymore.

Needs web text extracted vs links

I'd love to find a replacement for Evernote whose best feature is its ability to extract full text from websites into notes whereas keep just pastes a link, which isn't convenient for sites that change often or where you may wish to search for clipped text.

I love its ability to archive notes which Evernote really needs, but as for Keep there are many note & list apps more powerful than this with reminders/snooze/etc.

Google home integration problems

So I am using google home to make my shopping list which should populate in my google keep app (assistant shopping list) but it's not. I'm hoping this is maybe just a bug that can be worked out because as a mom of four it's imperative that these two devices work together to help me with shopping efficiency.

Other than that... adding a security feature is about the only other thing I'd love to see!

Quick, Easy, & Eye Pleasy

This app has done wonders for my volunteer organization as well as for my study habits. It's a sticky note and a reminder app all in one. Did I mention I can quickly write food orders, shopping lists, or any check list and easy tap to scratch off something when completed. From being customizable to just down right easy to use, this is a must have for any student, business, or general mobile device user!

Just 1 Flaw: No Revision History

This app is almost perfect. I've used every popular note keeping app. Google Keep easily wins in almost every regard. It's simple, easy, and functional. It has only 1 flaw. However, it's a MAJOR one. It doesn't keep a revision history. I'd give it 5 stars, for sure, if it did. What if the app crashes? What if you accidentally edit text that you didn't mean to? You could lose crucial notes & there'd be little to no hope to recover it. At this point, I'd recommend Evernote. It's somewhat less functional, but they do an impressive job of keeping revision histories.

Not as good as iOS notes

I'm a big fan of Google apps because typically they are easy to use and well thought out. The layout of the notes are nice but having the ability to lock a note for security would be great. Being able to access the note via fingerprint would be even better. If there is a way to have a note such as a "to do" list show up on the lock screen would be a great feature as well. So far no app has that feature that I'm aware of. I know i personally make notes of things to do and then forget to open the app and check the list so if I could see it on my lock screen there should be no excuse why I didn't complete a task.

Would give 5 stars if it didn't duplicate entries

We access this app several times a week to maintain the grocery list. On iPhone 5S with current iOS, it constantly duplicates my entries — about once every 3-4 times I use it. Doesn't happen for our other device that shares the lists, an iPhone 6. Sometimes, deleting the duplicate makes BOTH entries disappear, so now I have to put up with the dupes out of fear that I'll lose it altogether. Is this a bug because my device is old?

Solid app, with a large caveat

I just started using this system, I've been a longtime user of the various google products and it shows a similar level of usefulness and robustness, though it does have a lack of feature depth. I'm writing this review though, in the hope it gets seen by someone who works on this app. There's an issue where the opaque top and bottom toolbars that show up when making a note are much too thick when my iPhone 7 is rotated to landscape mode. When using the full width keyboard, the thick top and bottom bars only allow a single line of text to be viewable - and ironically using the google keyboard app makes it entirely impossible to read text as it's being written. I want to use this app more, but this apparent oversight makes it very difficult to type notes using the landscape keyboard. Hoping this gets fixed!

Sync unreliable

How can Google Docs be so good at real-time collaborative editing, and Google Keep be so bad? My husband and I have struggled to find a list app that syncs reliably between our phones. I was so sure this would be the one, but I was wrong. Google Keep regularly fails to sync or does weird things like duplicating items or unchecking things that had been checked off. We've been using it for months hoping it will get better, but no such luck. I hope these issues are resolved someday because I really like many of the features of this app. For now we'll be trying something else.

Another great Google App

This notepad is much more useful and customizable than the Notes app that comes with the phone. I like that you can move the boxes around, change their colors, etc. Only complaint is that you see the whole note on the main dashboard. For some of my longer lists, such as Restaurants, I wish you could set it so you don't see the start of the list items, just the title and then you click it to open the whole list.

Amazing organization

I love this app. Instead of writing sticky notes that I lose all over the place I have them and digital form. I love the sleek and easy interface, but I do wish there were more color options. (At least add purple for the late great Prince, a sliver chrome would be awesome too)

Another thing I would like to see happen, is the ability to list the labels in the order of your choosing just like you can with the checkboxes.

Great App... Couple Suggestions...

I love this app, and it works great for what I need. However, I would really like to have the ability to link notes directly to an event on Google Calender. For example, I am using Google Keep to create a checklist of items I'll need to bring for a business trip I have coming up (which I have marked on my calendar) and I would like to be able to add this checklist straight to that event, so all I'll have to do is open the event and click my attached note. Additionally, it would be nice if you could see that the note is added to an event on Google Calender with the option to view said event from Keep.

Perfect for me

I love the notes section. I'm a list maker. I have a trail of them scattered everywhere I go. But of course never have when I leave the house. But the notes section lets you arrange it like a little bullition board which is so perfect for me. I do wish it had more color options! This girl lives pretty colors! 😍 And I just made my first labeled section to keep all my favorite recipes. So I don't have to hunt through 4 different apps when I want to remake a favorite recipe. I'm sure I'll keep finding uses for it. I'm pretty excited about it. Much simpler and straight foward than Evernote. I just got one note but haven't used it much since I've been using this. I think this app will work as a kind of a bullet journal for me ( I'm hoping.) I wonder if the developers could add a thing so you can make simple charts / calendars? That would be handy.

Used to be better, now freezes a lot

I use Google Keep several times a day, and lately it freezes almost every time I open it, and then suddenly shuts down. This needs to be fixed because I rely on this app - I pay extra for Google storage, and this is my reward? None of my other apps freezes and suddenly shut down like this one, so it is YOUR app that is the annoying problem. A couple of months ago I would have given you five stars, but now barely three. PLEASE FIX!

Stylish Interface with Great Backup

So far this app is everything I need as a full time college student who likes to have one app for notes and others for tasks. Google keep does that well, with great back-up. Im able to open the app on my phone, write a note, and add to it throughout the day, even when switching the devices you can easily have you're notes connected instantly. Has a useful organization system with labeling/archiving. Has a help button with great response time for trouble shooting. So far I love this app. I will continue to use it and will most likely raise it to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fixed my crashing Keep app!

Update-this bug which causes Keep to continually close is content specific. It was only a problem on one of my Google accounts and not the other. I resolved it by logging into Google Keep from Chrome on a laptop. Next I went to settings and disabled "display rich link previews". I then went through each note and deleted the URL previews that had been automatically added. Finally I deleted the app from my phone and re-installed it. After a few minutes all my notes re-sync'd and that app didn't crash anymore!

Please add ability to pin notes to top!

Great app so far, but it would be nice to have the following added in the future:

- Being able to pin a note to the top would be handy for notes that are looked at more frequently.

- Also, being able to choose a start page when the app is opened. I have a label called "main" for the notes I use the most, and I would like to have that label's page open by default so the screen doesn't look so cluttered.

Ios 9.3.3 update screwed this app

It seems to work fine for about 5 seconds then it starts lagging very badly to the point where it won't scroll or do almost anything at all. My girlfriend and I both have iPhone 6s Plus and both are doing the same thing. I haven't noticed any problems in any other apps yet but then again I haven't tried many of the google apps yet. I LOVE google keep and Google itself but I do so much with KEEP including write all of my music. I like that I can write on any device and then access from whatever device I have available at the time. I really hope this is something "fixable" and soon so I don't have to find something else to save my most precious thoughts. Thanks for any consideration to my little and lonely opinion.

Great and Misunderstood

If Evernote is a cabinet or a stack of notebooks, then Google Keep is a pocket notebook or a collection of post-it notes. The people who are disappointed that this isn't an Evernote/OneNote replacement are confused.

Google Keep is great for quickly capturing notes of any form (especially if your device has force touch), and for quickly viewing them. It has a basic organization system that can handle a medium amount of notes. It also makes an amazing inbox if you're into GTD.

Overall, this is a great app and has earned a spot in my dock.

So much better than Evernote

In my humble opinion Google Keep is so much better than Evernote. No nagging emails asking for more money, seamlessly connects with other Google products, no reoccurring fees. It is so easy to create, find and view notes. I do wish I could drag and drop images directly into a note from another source, however, it's not too big of a deal to save the image then retrieve it using the image tool. I love this product, and no hounding for more and more money (repeat). 😍

Great Hidden App

Never heard of Google Keep until I searched for a better Google Task list that could be shared with another person. Great app and best part is sharing note / tasks with my wife.

Why doesn't this replace the current Google Tasks or the Notes section in Gmail? Such an upgrade and most people probably don't know it exists.

Please keep updating so it keeps up with note in my iPhone. Needs location reminders for each list in my tasks list. Password protection for a note would be helpful. Also, either folders or tabs to organize.

Couldn't live without it!

Really. I have memory problems and use this app every day, many times a day. I have a new home and have a list of spaces where I want specific furniture pieces to go along with the measurements. I keep a runn grocery list, a to-do list, etc. Quotes I used frequently I keep as notes so I can cut and paste them. I have my signature saved, name, address and phone, to do the same.

The most recent update allows me to organize my notes by my own created folders. Best of all, it is all backed up to the cloud. I love this app.

Images disappear after being added using "Share" option in various apps. The image appears in the note until I add another note with another image in it. Then the image in the previous note disappears and clicking on the image placeholder shows a blank screen.

Checkboxes are added randomly to text box -- sometimes even when there is no text in the box!

I wish it was possible to change the physical size of notes so it would be easier to move notes around on a small screen.

Also wish I could choose whether the text would be large if there are only a few words in the text box. (Why does having a few words in a note mean that I would naturally want them to pop out so strong visually?)

C'mon, Google. I want to ditch Evernote for Keep, but these issues make it impossible.

One of the best.

I was surprised the way this app works on iPhone. My only need from this app will be Touch ID support. It doesn't necessarily have to ask Touch ID to open the app but it should give us the liberty of protecting confidential information from people who shouldn't have any knowledge of. Just hiding few notes will be great. I hope you consider this. Even Apple did this with their Notes app, so Google Keep team should take a step and make it possible.

Almost there...but "almost" relates it to useless

Google Keep is great app...almost.

First, Google Keep's best features:

- The very direct checklist UI. Easy to reorder, fast to check off, clear indication of completed items either inline, at bottom of the list, or hidden

- The excellent use of both iPad and iPhone screens, using 3 columns on the iPad and 2 on the iPhone. Most apps waste the screen real estate by using only one column.

There are three limitations however that unfortunately relegate Google Keep to the "maybe someday" pile of my unused apps.

1. The max box size renders lists near useless. You have to open a list to see if what you are looking for is further down the list. GK needs to let lists grow endlessly

2. The manipulation of lists only by opening the list. It would be much faster and more direct to simply check items off or reorder them directly in overview panel

3. The "forcing" of a horizontal layout or boxes, rather than allowing a vertical layout. A vertical layout option would offer more better harmony between the 3-column iPad and the 2-column iPhone.

There's only one major thing that keeps me using Apple notes.

I love everything about this app except for one thing. I don't like that on the mobile version you're able to take a photo but you don't get to choose where you want to go. I like to take photos during the presentation. I like to have it like this photo did some texts, photo did some text. But I'm fortunately he can only have the photo at the top of the note.

Hit it to the wall, almost out of the park!

The best note application for the work I do that I have found. It fits right in with my Apple/Google/Windows 10 work environment. A url opens on my computer so I can take a message when I receive a phone call on my soft phone. Messages are easily taken, and with a few quick selections, checked and filed, noting that they have been handled. Seamless with my iPad Air2 and iPhone, when used in conjunction with all the other Google apps I use it makes my work soar. I'm nitpicking, for otherwise I would rate at 5 stars, but I'd like to be able to make permanent theme color changes to the background of the app. The yellow and white is hard on my eyes. It's nice to be able to change it while writing a note, but I'd rather change it in settings and forget it. Thank you Google!

Wish it could search within a note

I like this app for my iPhone 6, but since I write notes containing long lists, I wish it were searchable within each note. The search feature brings you to a specific note, but does not highlight or bring you to the exact term you want. It is a real pain to have to scroll down through a long list of items within a note to find what I am looking for.

Also, the label feature is very helpful, but within each label I would like to be able to pull around my notes so they are in the order I want.

Awesome for sharing lists

Wife and I use this for sharing a shared grocery list it works solo well! This is THE app I have been looking for tried red it's and others like that but had way more features than we needed and on the free plan didn't have want we really wanted. Google Keep is so easy to use I like that you can add pictures or voice memos! I would highly recommend it both for personal todo lists/ note taking and shared lists with others for collaboration. One of the best things I like is when you check off an item it moves it to the bottom of the list then if you need to add it back just uncheck it and it moves back up so you don't have to retype it! Anyways long story short get this app!!!!

Works Poorly

On my iPhone 6S I can input, retain (mostly, sometimes it spontaneously deletes things), and sync text and pictures but that's where it stops. I can't reliably share. Sometimes what I share is never sent. Sometimes the text entry area drops down to about halfway down the screen. I had multiple accounts on keep for years and now I only use one. Since I started using a single account it constantly asks me to select an account. There are other problems but I don't care to spend any more time describing them until these basic things are fixed. Is this another Google vs. Apple thing? Are you purposely sabotaging your on program? In google translate the phrase book still does not sync. If you're sabotaging your own app, you're doing a fine job.

2 Improvements

Two main things the app needs to focus on: iPad Pro support and fixing the sharing functionality. I am no longer able to share to Keep, as it keeps asking me to sign in (which I am). Also the app is not update for the iPad Pro resolution, which makes the app appear blown up and is not the best user experience. Also, it would be very nice if the app could take advantage of the multitasking feature in iOS so I could use Chrome and Keep at the same time by snapping the app onto the screen. Please and thank you!

Another weak iPhone app from Google

I don't understand -- why does Google write such bad iPhone apps? I get the Chrome problem with the iOS renderer -- that's Apple's fault. But, there is no excuse for Microsoft Outlook being a better app for using Gmail than the Gmail app. This version of the Keep app has the save-to-Keep bug from the share menu that everyone has mentioned, as well as the sporadic inability to connect to the Google Keep cloud server (whatever its actual name).

Also, if I use 3D touch to save an audio note, why does the share to an e-mail app include only the (often poorly rendered) voice-to-text translation and not the actual voice message? Puzzling.

I would actually pay for good Google apps. Come on, Google. Well, at least Google Calender is a good app.

Needs a major update.

Google keep needs a major update to remain relevant when compared to Apple notes and Microsoft onenote. Some glaring omissions in Google keep: bold, italics, and underlining. Indentations, bulleted lists (not just check boxes). Folders to organize...labels are not as good. Insert pure audio notes (no transcription). Most importantly, password protect individual notes. For the more sensitive items. OneNote has all these and Apple has most of them. Keep comes in third as a glorified to-do list maker. I do like the colors though. Yay. 😏

Google keep is the best.

Don't know why the low reviews on this. This has got to be the best note taking, life taking app in the world of note taking. I keep it on the front page of my iPhone 6S. Nothing but the most important things go on my home page. It's right there when I need it. Also on my iPad. I have been using this since launch. Now through the years I can remember when there wasn't a app so I had to create a web shortcut. That still worked great also.

It's like a assistant for your life. It will even remind you of stuff. If you haven't got this try it out for a week....you will see.

Needs better offline handling

I use this for many things although I keep trying to use this to create a grocery list that we can have an all users phones in our house. The issue is many grocery stores around here have little to no cell reception. This app should sync the list every so often so it is up to date an available even if you don't have cell service. It should also let you cross items off and then update once service is restored. The app is currently crippled without a data connection and it shouldn't be this way.

Performance issues in an otherwise great app

UPDATE: larger notes open significantly faster in this version, thank you! But there's a downside: stuttering when scrolling through these notes ranging from slightly annoying on iPad Air 2 to almost unbearable on iPhone 5s. Please fix this if it's possible. This app could be a great lightweight alternative to the unwieldy Evernote, but because of these issues it just isn't there yet.

While I'm in agreement with most other reviewers regarding the quality of this great note-taking app, I can't help but notice some performance issues. (Update: large notes open almost instantaneously now, but significant regression in scrolling smoothness). While scrolling through my notes I sometimes notice stuttering animations, search is kind of sluggish as well.

Otherwise this app is a joy to use and, if these performance issues are resolved, absolutely deserves a 5-star rating.

Absolute greatness. Please add 1 feature!

This is an excellent app.

My only suggestion is FOLDERS or some sort of hierarchical way of organizing my thoughts.

This is where Evernote & OneNote fail - they only allow 2 level depth. However, if Keep can implement simply the exact same thing that Gmail has done in terms of allowing multiple tags & at the same time letting tags be organized in a hierarchy, in a folder like structure, then this would be the only note taking app I will ever use. Thanks much!! 'Keep' up the great work! :)

Just what I was waiting for!

I use several platforms and value the ability to share notes between them. Keep worked wonderfully but wasn't available on iOS. Until now, that is. The new Keep app works perfectly and is just what I needed to bring my last two devices into my note-sharing family.

And, for the record, I've had absolutely no trouble with the app, in any operating mode.

Disappointed

I used to use Google Keep on my Nexus 7 to keep track of workouts in the gym and also used it on my iPhone - but I had to use it in a browser on the iPhone because Google didn’t have a native iOS App. I was happy to learn that Google finally added Keep to iOS after so many years so I gave it a try. The UI is awful and the options are to save documents to Google Docs. I wasn’t able to figure out how to save documents locally and on the cloud so that I could edit from the iPhone and desktop and have them sync up. I had also tried Evernote but Evernote was too big for my needs (it has way more functionality than just a simple text App). I’ve been using iCloud Notes and that’s worked well - the only downside is that it doesn’t work through a proxy that blocks POP and iMap - Apple Notes works via email so I have to use the browser version in the office. I think that Google should just copy the functionality of iCloud Notes - very simple, clean and quick.

Amazing!!! But a small suggestion

This is an amazing app!!! Thank you for bringing it to Apple. One of the best to do list, reminder, and notes app on the market. It's so user friendly and colorful I just love it! My one request is not put a time limit on the microphone aspect. Or as least make it so we can click when to start recording and when to stop recording. It stops as soon as you take a brief pause in your sentence. Honestly though it's better than Apple dictation so if you make that feature in Google keep or a separate app for that purpose I will use it for everything!

Nice But Too Slow

I just switched to the iPhone 6s from a Galaxy S3 and I was excited to see that Keep was available on iOS. It was my main note taking app on my S3 and it was very quick and responsive. Unfortunately this is not the case on my new iPhone 6s. Now when I open the app it takes about 5-10 seconds to open any note when it should be virtually instant, as it was on my previous 3 year old phone. Disappointed this app performs so poorly on a brand new phone, hope they fix it soon. Surely they can cache the notes to avoid any lag. They also need more colors and the ability to lock/password protect individual notes.

Great App

This app works smoothly. It is fast and clean. Loading time is seamless. It provides the user with labeling options for their notes/memos; plus, it has a reminder. This is really great. I enjoy using this service on the web and, now, getting to have the chance to use it on an IOS device, this is privilege. I loved using this app on my Samsung Nexus; now using it on an IPhone, the experience is light-years better. Thanks google.

Almost gave up on it...

After waiting for so long, I had gave up on it to where I had forgotten out even existed until it differently appeared in my MacBook Apps. I was behind thrilled that I found it in the App Store!

Finally, is all I can say! The easiest, fastest and yes prettiest and fun way to keep notes and any other tidbits of information or ideas you come up with. I'm a note/list lover and this note app is right up my alley. Love it! Google, again you do not disappoint with this one.

Please change the icon...and need the share option

I really like this app and everything works great, but I just can't get over how ugly the icon looks on the phone desktop... Can we fit the icon to take up the entire space (rather than having all that white space) since the shape looks similar anyway?

Also, it's a little disappointing that I can't share something from chrome/safari directly to keep. Evernote has this option. Can keep add it as well?

One of the bests, finally, available on iOS!

My favorite, (and one of the best around) simple note-taking apps. It was on almost every platform, except iOS,and was one of the last standout Google apps that was, bizarrely, not available on Apple's platform. Thankfully, after more than a year+, it's here. Highly recommended. Minimal, tasteful, functional, and syncs everywhere. Well worth your time.

An alternative to Notes

Google Keep is a great tool for taking notes on a computer, and it's great to finally access them from an iPhone without the poor browser experience. However, it's missing a few features from the new iOS 9 version of Notes including Drawings and Web Clippings. Hopefully, new features like these will be added eventually.

That being said, Google Keep has some great organizational options including tags and color. Voice functionality is also very reliable.
