A good album. Liked it more than Caps Lock. Another World and Hero are good. Unrequited Love is a hidden gem.

Strongest overall Capsule album since Player in 2010. Some of the tracks do drift into familiar EDM territory but that's how Capsule has always been as a label. It doesn't serve the same audience as groups like Perfume or Kyary, it serves more of a rave scene so the tracks reflect that. It all still feels very fresh imo. I definitely don't think you will regret adding this album to your playlist.

Better than the last album. Toshiko is featured more 😍 but you can tell they are influenced by edm music.

Having been a longtime fan of capsule as well as yasutaka's other projects, I can say with confidence that this album is filled with basically everything capsule has gotten right over the last 10 years, as well as brandishing elements that give it a running chance at having a weightier western audience. With club music being the predominant genre in the mainstream, this albums trappy, trippy, edm feel brings to the table everything that's good about what nakata and toshiko have been doing. Now if only iTunes would put up their old stuff!!!

I thought this album was a lot more solid than the previous one which felt more like an EP than anything.

It has a lot more dub step influence without abandoning the roots of Electro-pop/dance. It also has a lot more of Kojima's vocals which is another plus. There was a lot of good rhythm and variety in the rhythm that would catch me off guard a bit. Probably my favorite track is the last, beyond the sky. Really good driving music! My least favorite is dancing planet (perhaps too much repetition). In any case, a great album. Capsule's sound is always "evolving" in a sense, so their new stuff never feels dated.

I love capsule! It's not the best album, but it's still awesome!

The tracks they released earlier like Feel Again and Another World weren't really that great, but the new songs they saved for release were much better, Unrequited Love and Dreamin' Boy for example. Though there are some good things on Wave Runner, there's a lot of the same stuff in almost every song, not much variety, and I'm saddened that Nakata tried to write a western sounding EDM record.

As a Capsule Album, it's definitely lack luster. It's mainstream; very much influenced by the Western EDM culture. I listen to a whole lot of it on Soundcloud and it's very much like that. I think it was just an experiment like CAPS LOCK and that the next album won't be the same. Wave Runner doesnt completely disown Capsule, though. You still hear it in the songs but it isn't like "Wow! This is interesting enough to make a dance song that's repetitive because the production is creative" that's like everything else Nakata has done in the past. It doesn't deliver songs like from Stereo Worxxx, World Of Fantasy, 'More! more! more!' Or even Flashback. There isn't much a variety of songs either and honestly, I find that 'Depth' is the only song to stand out.

this duo never fails to surprise me, real feel good tracks on this album. can't say anything bad about it.
