This was the first album (cassette tape) I bought with my own money as a kid. I was (and still am) a lover of the North Woods and nature, in general. This album was/is a source of familiar comfort to me.

Classic mid- to late-80s Dan Gibson Solitudes! I was so happy to find this fully restored on iTunes! Had the cassette as a high school kid, bought in a New Age gift shop in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. I just remember being a kid on vacation with my parents, on the cusp of heading off to college, and being surrounded by the deepness of LOVE, family, adventure, POSSIBILITY, and, at that time in my life, peacefulness and worry-free vibes. This “cassette” /record left an imprint on my brain/heart then, and NOW, the music and vintage synths / feels brings me RIGHT. BACK. THERE. ❤️
