Three words: Simply Great Music.

This guys really did their homework. It brings me back to what my parents listen too back in the days.

More than reworking old Cuban songs, these interpretations are literally melodic revivals. The sound is simultaneously fresh but true to roots, and these musicians are not only geniuses but true passionate ambassadors to the Cuban sound, authentic hopefuls of bringing a timeless legacy to the new generations. A must for any fanatic of afrocuban rhythms of old.

What a gem! Los Hacheros have really impressed me with this debut album. With song selections ranging from old Arsenio Rodriguez classics though Los Van Van all the way to originals by the band members, this group swings hard with a cool retro sound. They manage to be jazzy and innovative with instrumentation and arrangement while still keeping a traditional cuban flavor and groove. Highly recommended!

What a great record! Reminds me of all my favorite puente and Palmieri lps, but with a soulful vibe... Pa'lante Hacheros!
