Changes the way you look at things

I lost this CD. I tore the house apart looking for it while my son was on a spiritual journey in the southwest. Never found it again until tonight.
The music invites anyone willing to do the work of leaving behind the material and bourgois and listen to the soul to find ones place. This takes courage, and a willingness to step outside everything the secular world teaches and embrace a new vision that can sustain one indefinitely.
The road is long. Go the distance, and find refuge.

The Best

I bought this CD when it was released. If you're a runner imagine yourself on the tail end of a 10
run at sunset. It was my running partner for a long time. A brilliant collection of music. Each piece makes
it's own statement. Quietude is my favorite
reminding me of living So. California.

LOVE THE MUSIC ... Bummer it has words

The music is amazing...totally 5 star. The unfortunate thing is that nothing indicated the fact that it had words in many of the songs. The previews only showed that in one song. Had I know that I would not have bought the this album. I don't know what they are saying it is in a different language and therefore will not play the ones with words. Who knows what they are speaking?
But I will be playing the songs without words. Music beautiful.

Outstanding!

Kater and Nakai have outdone themselves with this collaborative effort! Although I was already a fan of Nakai, I was not familiar with Kater. He has gained a new fan. The combination of the two artists creates a sound that is truly outstanding and inspired.

Migration

One of my most exciting musical experiences of the past 10 years ... Jazz, New Age, World Music (and whatever!) merge into one of the best recordings of any genre I have heard.
Peter Kater (classicaly-trained as a child, immigrating from Europe, moving through rock to jazz) plays piano/keyboards. R. Carlos Nakai (acclaimed Navajo master of musical cross-cultural collaboration) plays Native American flute, eagle-bone whistle, and other indigenous instruments. "East meeets West."
It's a poetic, musical, lyrical honoring of our soul's journey through transformation. Two polar musical traditions meet, and dance with beauty and amazement. Along with the amazing David Darling on cello and others, these two have collaborated on other albums (such as Grammy-nominated "Natives" which I also highly recommend), but this may be the peak of their inventiveness, creativity, and musical beauty.
DOWN-LOAD THIS! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
