So, I'm a big fan of "The Nutcracker", and I'm also a big fan of good Christmas/Holiday music and some forms of bluegrass. This album is simply excellent. It's a really unique take on the Nutcracker. It's done completely with Bluegrass intruments, from Mandolin, to Guitar, to stand-up Bass. If you're willing to not demand the Philharmonic and simply enjoy the music for how it's made and for its uniqueness, you're going to really like this version. I first heard it two years ago, and it's now a holiday staple for my family and me.

As a mandolin player, this album is a must.....This suite is not something you hear on this beautiful instrument everyday!!!
