I'm not in the habit of reviewing much music, but I felt compelled to say a few words about this EP. I've been listening to it on a near nightly basis for the past several months, and it has given me such peace and calm. The perfect way to end the day. It's so powerful and beautiful, and I'm always swept up by the story it's telling. Thank you, Andy.

Outstanding
Saw this guy live last night, it was fantastic. He was such a nice person as well. His live show was unbelievable. The fact that he is a solo artist and still creates such a deep, and vast sound is amazing.

A Migrating Talent
Mr. Othling continues expanding on his technical expertise and individual ability to process every drop of creativity through his ever expanding guitar rig. Migratory Patterns is refreshing instead divergent from the broody Carry Us All Away as Othling implements techniques nostalgic but not reminiscent from his previous work. Timely string work in "Persistence" and a subtle xylophone bring the mood of this new work to simmer but not a boil. Without pushing a prototypical feel, Migratory Patterns includes several nuances uncanny of similar works. Pop beats transitioning to deep orchestral waves backed by a faint POG as in "Depths" hint at a strong loosening of the post-rock feel and straying into newer realms of instrumental work. Migratory patterns is ambient to the core and of course, I have to give props to Stephen for redeeming the banjo to all of us hipster electric junkies. BUY THIS ALBUM.
