For those of us lucky enough to be in the moment when this album was released it was amazing then and still stands up to almost anything in its genre. Real music that seemed heartfelt.

Every one is missing out

These guys have not gotten the credit deserved. Hall of fame material. Listen to ever song twice and you can't deny that they are epic. That goes for ALL of there albums.

lead review is bogus

This lead reviewer is an unqualified joke. He or she obviously doesn't like (or didn't really listen to the album) and gives a 2 sentence review dismissing it.???? This is a unique band, so don't cop out and say their ripping off other popular bands of the time. Candlebox is a blues driven band. I Love soundgarden and AIC, but they do not influence Candlebox.

Wish we could have the 90's back

These guys and the rest of the bands that made real music like this are desperately needed now. The crap that passes for
music can't hold a candle, pun intended, to these guys.

This album is pretty incredible. Start to finish it's and amazing collection of songs. Blossom.....You.....Far Behind....Don't You............and on and on. There's a short list of epic debut albums by bands but this one is on the list. It's a must have.

I got this thing when it first came out. I've been listening to it on and off for 20 years. When it comes to alternative rock, this was the pinnacle IMO. Everyone else was listening to Counting Crows and this album was just way beyond anything they ever did. The review says "nothing on Candlebox is particularly catchy..." That's just a crock. It mentions You, which is an excellent song. But Don't You is totally in your face and Change is top-shelf. NOBODY in the alternative scene put anything out that outshines this album. Period. It's too bad Candlebox was never able to recapture the magic (Lucy was terrible and their newer stuff seems really watered down and weak) but I'd still pay to see them live, just based on this work of art. It brings back a lot of really good memories every time I hear it.

I love this album. I was a teenager when this came out and holy crap does it bring back some good memories. The power of music... Cover me my favorite song on the album. All you kids growing up now, buy this album if you like some good rock, you will see how music used to be made.
Also by the way to the person who said there was not crap pop in the 90's.. You remember mc hammer, vanilla ice, how about new kids on the block, yea there was crap back then just not as much as there is now.

Super cool album

I can't believe "Cover Me" isn't rated as popular as some of the others. That song is like an anthem for those of us groing up in the 90's. Maybe someday it'll get the credit it deserves.

This band is labeled pop, but it is really grunge. iTunes needs to get their info right.

This is by far one of the greatest album to every come out. The music is hard, blues, rock. The words are very deep, check out blossom, yet i read in the top review that nothing is catchy. Wow no wonder music is not what it used to be. But maybe thats a good thing, because how would you know what good is if you didn't have something bad to compare it too.

Classic!!

Wow! Some of these songs bring back so many great memories, Far Behind , in particular. It is wonderful to hear a song that takes you back to better days. I'm not really a fan of Candlebox as a band but the above mentioned song is great. These were the days when bands actually played music, and we didn't have all this boy-band, pop culture crap thats filling up poor peoples heads. Pretty Good Band.

By far one of the most underated rock bands of the 90's. This entire album rocks and can be played from beginning to end. Rain is one of their best songs. Worth downloading the entire album.

Candlebox is one of those awesome hard rock bands of the 90's that got caught up in the middle of hip-hop, rap, alternative, and grunge, and just couldn't wade their way through the muck. It has nothing to do with their integrity, talent, or anything except what it was. Too late. Like Roxy Blue, Thunder, and a few others, the 80's sound was not what the record execs wanted. We are going to see Candlebox on 8-16-09 at the Rev Room on President Clinton Avenue in Little Rock. I know they will ROCK hard for us like they always have. Come join us !!! See you there !!!
