I slept on this album, this real hip hop!!!

I find it strange that the reviewers "mind was blown" by Lil Wayne's flow on "Breakin my Heart"... His lyrics are amateur compared to Pooh & Phonte on that Track.

Amen.

Little brother is one of the best hip hop groups that I have ever heard. All of the cd's are good. I can actually listen to all the songs and be happy and not want to turn any of them. Don't sleep on Little Brother.

Rep that Bull City

Being from North Carolina (Fayetteville) I support Big Brother and every move they make, and, aside from the Minstrel Show, this is their best album yet.

First let it be said that I'm overall disgusted with the state of hip-hop these days. A lot of people say that but still support the garbage that is pumped out day in and day out. Also, let it be said that I'm not one of those super conscience "back to Africa" brothers either. While there's certainly nothing wrong with that; it's just not me. I prefer to listen to music that entertains, invoke thought, and mellows me out all while reflecting "real" life. Rappers these days only talk about drug dealing, pimps, stacking, and killing others. I'm from the hood, and let me say that as a person my life if far more complicated than that same verse recycled by almost every rapper out there these days.

This album is truly a breath of fresh air for the game. I hear the same hunger and desire that I've heard since "The Listening" only more refined and stronger engineering (props to whoever masterminded the track arrangement and mixing). I'll be glad when this is more of the norm in the hip hop world and we finally get off this same kick that we've been on since the early 90's.

This CD probably won't sell a lot of ringtones....but I guarantee that it will still be relavent for many years to come.

without sounding too preachy. This album is a triumph and shows that artist with true direction won't stumble, even if their original producer (9th Wonder) flies the coup. Lyrics, flawless. Production, higher energy but still true to the Little Brother sound. This is an album you don't question. If I still bought CDs at a store, "Get Back" would be the kind of album I'd just pick up, make B-line to the cashier, and break fast for the nearest sound system. Just buy the album!

Great album. Hearing Phonte always makes me wanna write something. Always controlling the beat. The beats on this remind me of the ones on ILL LEGITIMATE. It was good to hear them over some other producer's beats. I still got love for 9th though.

Can't win for losing and breakin my heart. Phonte is crushin those beats. Good Clothes and Extra hard are Bangers too. As a complete album Minstrel Show is slightly better. But I'd pick this one up as well.

The title says it all. If you're a fan of Hip-Hop and I mean actual Hip-Hop music where the lyrics have substance and the beats aren't just bass heavy trunk knockers then this album is for you. 'Nuff said.

"Getback" was the ultimate statement to haters and doubters that little brother could not maintain the vibe and the vibe became more energetic with every track sounding different than the next Getback is a creative album. the only bad thing about the LP is the 11 tracks but its amazing that they put so much art into those songs.

This is easily the best album i heard in 2007. Hands down. If your lookin at this album for the first time, buy the entire thing. Dont think about it. Every single track on the CD is incredible. I'd list my favorite tracks, but honestly... theyre is really not one that is above any of the others. All are really that good.

Little Brother is the second greatest duo on the hip-hop (second to OutKast), but this album was great, it could've been longer but i guess when you take out all the skits, then you really only got 10 or 11 tracks, but REALLY GREAT ALBUM

Get Back is a good album but not as good as the Minstel Show. The lack of 9th hurt but phonte and pooh did their thing.

They have totally changed their style. Phonte cannot sing and they are lost without 9th Wonder. The Minstrel Show was by far 100x better.

The album is awesome, but how long are you'll going to make us wait for the clean version ???? Other than that this a classic album a must have. Congrats to the group with the success and future success may God continue to bless you'll and your familys.

This album speaks to the people who are looking for real hip-hop. I lvoe this album, its the best of all time, Phonte & Big Pooh have done it again and made this album the best of all. I'm not asking, I'm telling you to buy this album! you won't regret it. Best music you'll ever hear in your life!

The beats are consistent, and Phonte alone is worth the price of admission. Sick.

They lost the magic as well as 9th wonder. This is not the direction I was hoping for. I mean come on. Lil' Wayne? Really? I just hope they get there grove back.

If you are expecting great beats and great rhymes, this not the album. Usually, little brother goes by this mottle and sticks to it. But this album simply lacks 9th wonder production. The album is is quality compared to the other Hip Hop artist that are out. I like this album but it was to much singing from Phonte, and it seemed that they wasn't having fun at all making this album.

Little Brother puts together a refreshing album. This album reminds me of Murs and Strange Fruit Project's recent cd's. This is hip-hop at its best.

Wow. Every track on this CD goes off. This is one of the few CDs that I can listen to without pressing the skip button. Each song is fantastic. Buy this albulm and support the small amount of hip-hop artists that are keeping true hip-hop alive.

While Phonte and Big Pooh don't let up with strong lyrics, the production just isn't the same. Alot of the beats seem a bit out of place and not up to par with what they were working with from 9th Wonder.

i saw them live at the cradle in carborro, nc phonte rocked that stage and he knows how to work a crowd a work a mic his rhymes on this album are crazy, know why, its cause he went to school and went to college theres the secret rappers who go to college do great things with there lyrics

To be honest...i just got into Little Brother...I can't believe i waited so long to get into them...Big Pooh and Phonte are simply amazing...this cd is as good as it gets...9th wonder leaving LB didn't hurt them at all...they are just as good...please give this album a chance...i gurantee you will not be disappointed...with artists like little brother...why even worry about a radio? A phenonomenal album!

This album is without a doubt, one of the best albums of all time not just in hip hop but in music period. If you are a fan of good music then you need to pick this album up, it is well worth the money.

Little Brother drops yet another classic album that way too many people will never hear of. Even with 9th wonder on only 1 track, they still drop another sick LP, and easily their most diverse album in terms of sound and style. Phonte and Pooh have Nas/Jay/Weezy/Ludacris/your favorite rapper skills, but they continually get held back cause of label troubles.

Put Good Clothes on the radio and these guys will be on top of the game. Guaranteed. Any track for that matter. But thanks to the label or whatever it is, these guys can't get that break, while we got garbage like DJ UNK contaminating the hip hop game and getting played constantly.

If you like hip hop at all, do yourself a favor, do LB a favor, and do hip hop a favor and buy this album. It makes a great stocking stuffer, for real. Props to ITunes for showing LB love, at least somebody gets it.

Best damn Hip Hop album in a very long time.

Hip-hop's not going anywhere as long as these two keep doin' it. Best tracks: Dreams, Breakin My Heart, That Ain't Love.

This album has to be one of the best albums front to back. Little Brother has been putting it DOWN since the "Listening" album. The "Listening" was followed up by The Chittlin Circuit 1.5 then came "Minstrel Show" which blew my mind. If you like REAL hip hop, Common, Slum Village, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Tribe Called Quest this is a must have for your collection. It is rare to be able to listen to a complete album and not skip tracks. Support GREAT artist and make the others "Step they game up."

This album is great, I bought it in the store. I can listen to this album all the way through just like their last album.

Because if you can front on such varied subject matter, dope lyrics & fye beats...you a hater. Period. Tay & Pooh are at their best lyrically and conceptually. Yeah, LB lost 9th, but they didn't lose a step...I'd say they're at their best. It's change & growth that's very welcome over here. :-) If you can find bonus tracks to this album, buy em. Catch Little Brother in a city near you!

Little Brother are a refreshing change of pace from the everyday 808 kick and snare that we are subjected to on the radio. I have to admit when I first heard the song with lil wayne I immediately dismissed this album thinking it would be bad. I was wrong. This is what good music is supposed to sound like, record companies.... (if you're even listening) Two songs stand out as radio friendly; "Good Clothes and Dreams"....But the gem of this cd is The Getaway. Takes me back to when I first heard EPMD (for y'all that didn't catch the homage on the album cover) I hope these guys get the marketing they truly deserve because this is a very good music cd.

Every time I think I should just give up on hip hop all together, albums like this restore my faith. It's inspired, intellegent and feel-good music...MASTERFUL!

LBs best since Listening. No questions, please, just buy this. The only dudes left that arent putting every song through a vocoder.

Little Brother has so much talent; why would you drop the best producer to ever come out of NC? Then not only do they drop 9th, but their new cd sounds the same. Congradulations on a cd that could've been much better. It's 9th Wonder, what are you doing?

Every once in a while rap music requires a savior to provide relief from the sad state in which our music finds itself currently. Big Pooh & Phonte provide the necessary vaccination to keep rap music healthy from diseases and conditions such as Soulja Boy, for at least the next few years.

An expected drop-off was expected from this album due to the absence of 9th Wonder, but that drop-off never occurred. Production levels are top notch and the lyricism these two provide remain fresh and never go stale.

Until rap music requires another dose of medication in the next few years, Little Brother is doing their part to keep our music in tip-top shape.

I love this album, my friend has been telling me about little brother for a while now. ive heard some of there music but not a full album. i think anyone tryiong to be an artist should take a listen to this. it's so different from what on the radio. many artist are just so one deminsional. this is the complete of opposite. i just want to thank littel brother for coming out with something like this.

I dont even know what else to say about this album. Phonte and Pooh have consistently put it down proper, and this album is absolutely no exception. The production is excellent and the lyrical content has been taken to the next level. Definitely an album you can play all the way through--keep doin it big LB.

This is one of those albums that you can just hit play and let it ride, there is not a bad track on the album. This is without a doubt one of the top 2 hip hop albums of the year, only second to Kanye.

Honestly I read the reviews written before me, and was pretty excited, but once I heard the actual album I was pretty disappointed. They can do better.

Yo, Get back has to be the best hip hop album out dis year. These guys never get the respect that they deserve. They were never marketed right but the media and everyone else who just mainly listens to mainstream music is missing out on one of the best hip hop duos of all time. This album is a definate 5 Stars!!!!

FUN INTELLIGENT A very well rounded album. While most are producing below average music, these MC's make good music like its their debut all over again. Please give them a listen, this is the evolution of good hip-hop.

From the moment I heard Get Back from the beginning to end I have LOVED it...In fact, this is just as good as the others that had 9th Wonder on it. I'm glad them Boyz still got it! Little Brother music evokes a certain spirit out of people. While it's refreshing to listen to artists not taking themselves too seriously,it does come as a surprise to hear socially conscious real hip hop. Little Brother may not top anyone's G.O.A.T.list but their mic skills are definitely among the sharpest in the industry. Little Brother Hop Hip's deliverance.

Love the album, wish it was a little longer, love both from 100 acres wood. Phonte is a get lyricist but now I look forward to his charming harmonies more and more, seriously (complement). Little Brother is my Big Brother.

I would not agree wit below. Theres a lot of good hip hop out there, and of course hard to find and imho better than little brother, BUT i do love little brother. These cats brought another solid album. Add dis to the collection.

Yeah my boys Little Brother did it. Everybody thought that they were gonna fall off after 9th Wonder left the group. Man this album is amazing. It's not "The Listening" or "The Minstrel Show" it's "Get Back" and it's a whole new chapter and a whole new sound. At first it took me a second time to listen to it all the way to get into it because I'm use to hearing them on 9th's tracks. But once I got into it.....man it was on. My favorite song is "When Everything Is New" I'm touched and moved by that song which is about not giving up. Please get this album and support REAL HIP HOP. We've got to put an end to this dance hip hop that's going on right now. So Get this album now!!!

I picked up the Minstral Show based on the Source controversy and 9th Wonder buzz, without ever really getting into it. I'm all over Getback!

With the departure of a major label backing and the disappearence of 9th wonder you would think Little Brother would fall off. Nope! Diversity is usually best when dealing with any aspect of life. Diversity has evolved Little Brother's sound. Hot tracks and even more lethal lyrics are benefiting these brothers tremedously. History will judge their separation from 9th as the move of their careers. Even though they remain cool it is obvious that both camps will benefit. Real hiphop returns. I won't hold them accountable for the skits. The music is the realest.

These cats are keeping hip-hop alive for real. Beats, lyrics, comedy, the whole package. In "Good Clothes" when he mentions J. Riggins, those that know, that was the spot in the 90s for real. I thought they would fall off wihout 9th, but not at all. If you long for that real hip-hop with real lyrics and nice sampled beats, you gotta get this. Praise Him that there are some cats still doing the real.

Pooh and Phonte deliver yet again. The Getback is a more mature album that displays LB at its best minus 9th. For those of you that thought the duo would suffer due to 9th's absence, fear not The group deliver a constant and Prodigious flow with each track that can only be described as masterful.It may be skit heavy, but each episode will leave you with that "oh man, let me rewind that again" feeling....Besides Nas's hip hop is dead this is the only album released within the past two years worthy of a purchase...LB gives us yet another fresh breath of hip hop air.

Little Brother is the most underrated group in the game today. When 9th Wonder left the group, I thought they were going need some help for production but they showed me with great lryics they can rip any track. This is just as good as "The Minstrel Show" so I don't doubt this album. On the real some of these rapper need to listen to this album and TAKE SOME NOTES (That goes for Mims, Jim Jones, Flip, Joc, Chingy, Fabo & Soulja Boy)

LIttle Brother is by far my favorite hip hop group. i waited a long time for this album to drop, and with 9th Wonder leaving the group i feared that the group might lose the chemistry. not a problem here. Classic Album. Must buy for a hip hop collection.

You think that after 9th left they wouldnt be as good, but then you realize it's Little Brother.They gon be hot when theyre 70 and rockin Depends. To EVERYONE, COP THIS ALBUM it is one of the hottest albums EVER!!

What can be said about LB that hasn't already been said? You COULD say they aren't a staple in Hip-Hop...but you'd be lying. You COULD say they wouldn't come with the same ferver this go-round sans recently departed producer 9th Wonder...but you'd be lying. You COULD say their latest effort "Getback" isn't on par with their first two HIP-HOP CLASSICS...but you'd be lying.

This is an unbelievable album from two cats I can relate to better than most of the people in my everyday life. Songs like "After the Party" (Produced by Khrysis) and "Dreams" keep reminding us that we're all only two feet above solid-ground while Phontigga and Rapper continue to exude a vulnerability often missing from the mainstream trash polluting the airwaves today. Every song on this album is a certified banger! You'll never have to press fast forward with anything these cats do.

After all the hype surrounding their "everyman" to Hip-Hop ressurectors to the Atlantic fallout to the split with 9th (who does contribute one track, the Lil' Wayne-assisted "Breakin' My Heart") -- these cats have been through the meat grinder and perservered regardless!!! I have a tremendous amount of respect for them and the consistent material with which they hit the Hip-Hop community each time they drop.

"Getback" is aptly titled...because LB is gettin' back at its fans and letting critics, detractors and naysayers know they need to GET BACK...and that, in and of itself, is NO LIE.

Even though they were dope with 9th wonder, they may be even better without him. This is a great album..... so buy it.

i've been a big fan of little brother i loved the listening and the minstrel show, te and pooh sounded ill over 9ths unique beats. but this time around 9th is out of the picture, yet LB managed to still get some hot beats to fit their rhymes. not to mention their done with the major record labels, so their doin things their way. if you're an LB fan you'll love this album and if little brother is new to you and you like good hip hop you gotta bump this on your stereo. i'm seein LB live in a week and i can't wait for it, get this album!

These Dudes is the truth man. Y'all gotta GET BACK to dat real hip hop. Original sounds, flows, and textures. Top shelf lyricism and beats. Carefully crafted album. Crazy grind game with boat loads of swagger yet humble all the while. LB LB LB LB!

Phonte and Big Pooh are simply amazing. Even with only one 9th wonder beat on the whole album, they are as good as ever. Phonte is and has always been a outstanding lyricist but this album tops their first 2 because Big Pooh has really stepped his game up. This is a must own for Little Brother and real hip hop fans.

This is a classic hip hop album. Everybody thought they couldnt do it without 9th wonder. But to me some of they best stuff was on the mixtapes which 9th didn't do. So how could they fall off without 9th? Can't win for losing, Breaking my heart feat. Lil Wayne is classic and yes 9th wonder did the beat on that.

Evolution is apart important part of every persons life and it's no different for an artist in the game. I remember the 1st bootleg copy of the Listening my cousin gave me (NC State reppin). We played the whole album on repeat from Rocky Mount to Fayetteville and back around to Raleigh. Ever since then Little Brother has been at the top all my playlist. Getback has been pushed back for a min. but its about time because one more "crank that" song was going to kill me. Not knockin it but, we need some clarity coming through our speakers now a days. (After The Party, That ain't Love, Dreams-TOP 3) But anyway F!#% the radio stations. GETBACK 2007, LB 4 Life, North Click Forever.
