This band always amazes me by how boring their music is, and at the same time having songs with hundreds of sounds. How do you do that? How can music with so much going on be so boring. If i had to bet it would be due to the meaningless lyrics, repetitive rhythms, and the fact that every song basically is the same. I used to be a huge fan but i cant even force myself to listen to their music anymore.

They always sing songs that are so relatable! Absolutely amazing and are phenomenal live!!!

Very excited, I’ve been waiting. I like Way Less Sad a lot, it has the same style and theme as Bummerland but I don’t feel that it’s repetitive or too similar to Bummerland at all. Eagerly awaiting the release of the rest of the album

Does this group have a singer or do they just use a computer? Sounds awful.

Everything sounds the same. Same song format, instruments, sound effects, etc. bring the old ajr back!!!

I’ve listened to AJR for about 3 years now, they’ve always been so relatable with they’re songs, my new favorite is definitely way less sad!

This band has a unique talent. It’s like they know what the right musical choice is for every situation, and then choose the exact opposite of that. I’ve never heard a good song from them, and based on Bang and Way Less Sad, that won’t be any different on this next album.

Very excited for the new release, but to all the one star reviews, I have one thing to say. Thank you for targeting AJR and writing a bad review on one, an album that isn’t even out yet, and two, an album that is created by a group of guys that can make music and lyrics better than what’s popular right now.

To the people that disagree with the music and lyrics thing, two examples are:

1. Basically all “rappers”: it’s “rap” so lyrics are important, wait, lyrics are lacking? crazy.

2. Basically all pop artists: music is better than rap, but being unique (not that “rap” is unique haha) is foreign to just about everyone, and that goes for both lyrics and the sound.

(Reason rap is in quotes is because it’s not really rap it’s more generic pop, but with generic drums and overused 808 sounds, but worse lyrics, with a crap load of auto tune)

Ajr is amazing and this album is going to be perfection

How can anyone think these lyrics have any ounce of substantiality to them? It’s kind of unbelievable, this band does make some cool music, but the lyrics are just garbage.

AJR always likes to really think about their songs and how to make them relate to most people in life. That’s what’s so good about these songs, is that they’re very relatable and always go out with a Bang!

The guys need to switch “Bang!” to Track 1 and Whatever is at Track 1 to Track 7!!!!

These gentlemen have outdone themselves.

They write raw and substantial lyrics for people to listen to. They don’t use women as subjective but write lyrics that are relatable to people.
