By far the best PATD album, to date. Some come very close but this is the best. Brendan is evolving and just becoming extraordinary and this album shows it. Everything about this album is wonderful. All the songs are great, I love the theme, lyrics are amazingggg, and let's talk about the production!! I am excited for the next album from him, if this album is any indication of what's to come, we are in for a massive treat.

This is the perfect mix of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (my personal favorite) and Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die. It has the youth energy and witty lyrics of the first one and the maturity and sounds of the last one. It's the first album from Brendon since AFYCWO where I like most of the songs, not just a couple. Truly a good album. If you liked early Panic! but had given up on them since, this album is the thing that will reel you back in, I promise. Trust me on this one. LA Devotee, Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time, and Golden Days will remind you of the golden era of Panic! Really their first masterpiece in a long time.

Okay, so I'm in love with this album, everything about it is great... But I had pre-ordered it last year and now that the whole album has been released I have to re-purchase all of the newer songs. I think iTunes should be better than that.

This album looks to be the best yet, with mixed genres and songs that all capture and hold your attention. You can listen to all of them on repeat for hours. If you can’t decide if you want to preorder or buy it, let me help: buy it. With Brendan’s vocals that hit impossible highs, both in scale and in greatness, it’s shaping up to be the best album yet.

There are two artists/bands off the top of my head that I can say I am absolutely in love with and this is one of them. Having been listening to Panic! since Fever, I can proudly say that I have grown with them as their sound has evolved and let me say that it’s been absolutely phenomenal to see. What was initially a surprising change in sound when Pretty.Odd. came out has turned into awe, admiration, and excitement every time they release something new. Panic! is a musical chameleon. And a fantastic one at that. So excited for the rest of this album.

Amazing as ever!

I've been a P!ATD fan from day one, and have the entire collection. I'll of course be adding Death of a Batchelor when it is released. From what I can already hear, this is an evolution of the Vegas-Show-Pop of Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die. I miss the more lyrical witty rock of Vices and Virtues. That was the peak of Brandon Urie's excellence in my humble opinion.

Cautious! but excited.

 –
Sour Apple Review
 –
2015-10-27
Panic! is a group that is continulously experimenting with style. There debut gave us the Circus Punk we didn't know we wanted. Pretty Odd is the fine folky wine that continues to get better with each listen. Vices and Virtues featured a slightly different line up of band member and it was noticeable. It was a good album but not every song was consistent. To weird to live to rare to die was a dissapointment because of the effort that went into the actual MUSIC of the previous records wasn't there in the album. It was generic pop with brendands excellent vocals. They had hits but at what cost? The songs released on Death of a Bachelor seem pretty different from track to track. We get hallelujah which is very Vegas Lights, but Victiorious and Emporers New clothes feel like a throw back to 10 years ago. The title song floating around on the internet is this interesting poppy sinatra track with just enough character in the music to be something NEW. I can not wait to hear what is to come!

They've changed

I really wish that they would head back towards the more punk stuff. I really liked the 'a fever you can't sweat out' and 'Pretty.Odd' sound and now they're moving towards the pop genre. It's okay. But it's not great.

Evolution: Different, yet Similar

Any hardcore P!ATD fan can tell you that the band has always tried to make each and every album distinctive and unique from the one that came before. To parallel with the Beatles:
"A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" was Panic's! own "A Hard Day's Night, Help" and all of the other Beatles early album put into one.
"Pretty. Odd" was pretty much Brendon Urie's tribute album to the equally as strange "Beatles For Sale" and moody "Rubber Soul"
"Vices and Virtue" refects the band is in a happy place where the shackles and expectaions of the public (and fellow bandmates in this case) are no longer a burden on them a la "Revolver"
Now this is where things diviluge between the two bands. Wheras the Beatles would crank out happy albums like "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" Panic! seems to totally skip the phase and goes straight to the "White Album" with "Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!" I belived this to be just a simple case of the two bands being at different points personally, as the first three singles of "Death Of A Bachelor" seems to prove is the case.
I have never seen Brandon in this such this great state of mind since "Vices and Virture" and I think this album will be a beneficary as a result. I may have set way to high of an expectation by comparing it to Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery but I feel completly justified until proven otherwise (which I expect wil not happen)

Why this album is worth your time: a short essay

 –
Jacob, the Panic! Fan.
 –
2015-10-22
When I was 8 years old I received Panic! at the Disco's debut album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out as a birthday gift. I immediately fell in love with the album and dropped whatever garbage rock my boyhood ears polluted themselves with at the time. Though back then I could not fully grasp or appreciate the genius that lay with that album and the true artistry there in-Though I did craft a bond with a band that continued to create quality music for the years between then and now. As I matured so did the music, and that transition has been a large but smooth one from the vaudeville electronic emo to the new pop with a hint of punk that we have seen in the 4 songs released on this album. I have grown to appreciate this band for much more than the lyrical content and medley of sounds. I, now being the same age as lead singer, Brendon Urie when 'Fever' came out understand his maturation and coming of age as he displays his intense vocal range and tone quality on every song as he takes the band in a new and fun direction. Panic! fans should be proud to see musicians like Brendon dominate across multiple genres. Many fans however may dislike this upcoming album for not being exactly the same as the nostalgic first or second with Ryan Ross' influence. This is foolish. It is an artist's worst mistake to do the same thing time and time again. This upcoming album will pull new listeners to enjoy Panic!'s resplendent repertoire and certainly blow away crowds in live performances. It's no wonder it became the number one album on here after a couple hours! This new album is the end of eras and the start of something new. It is the Emperor's New Clothes. It is already Victorious. It is The Death Of A Bachelor.
(Hallelujah)
